I just bought the paid voodoo control and in the changelog it supports ICS now. It's running fine on my NS
I can't find where to change the colors though???
Edit:
I think I need a different kernel? lol
Installed glados kernel and applied your color settings.

Thanks! Looks great! No more greenish tint on my NS' screen.

The colors look great. But no matter what, unless the gamma is set to 0 across the board, I get the green flicker
EDIT - Playing around with the settings, if I leave the green gamma at 0, I can adjust everything else and it wont flicker. Not to find a good setting....

IPS Screen color

When I first got my nexus the screen was a little washed away.. and then found out I can change them
Here are my values :
Red: 238
Green: 228
Blue: 240
I found this to be the best values and it honestly makes a difference. I'm not taking credit for it, just found it on some youtube video. So what are your values ? Share your personal opinion

I don't think changing RGB values makes a lot of difference, it does a little bit but there more important settings to adjust colours like gamma. But you can find all info here

I don't mess directly with the RGB values, but I do use Trickster Mod Kernel Settings to switch the stock Google color presets to LG's stock color presets which I find much more vibrant and contrasty in a very good way.

If you're on faux kernel then you should use this script I edited to make the colors amazing.
just edit the name of the file- remove the .txt then run it in system tuner terminal with su checked and you'll never look back

Well, it's only a little better than Google's calibration.

googles was terrible, lg's is ok but still not optimal, from what i remember it looked cartoonish even.
Using franco kernel updater to tweak the misc. gammas from the Stock preset. Increased saturation (87), contrast (13), and brightness (13).
But not quite sure if I like that better, or if I prefer my tweaked version of franco recommended values...
I use faux with app and color pop preset on the matrix 8.5 which supports the faux mods
Sent from my Nexus 4 using xda premium
There was a post in the Franco thread that did an absolutely amazing job of modifying the colours using the Franco app, but sadly since the values in the app vs his post have changed, I kind of had to fudge it a bit. OP: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=37917796&highlight=photographer#post37917796
The blacks in the tuning tool don't show up like they should, but I'm okay with slightly muddy blacks as long as it all works out with the rest:
RGB each at 175
RB gamma:
Greys 0
Mids 55
Whites 7
Misc Gamma settings
Contrast 0
Brightness 0
Saturation 119
Colours pop and work very well for me. I'll be hanging on to this. just wish Photog would come up with an updated version.
I'm am using and have been using Carbon 1.6 ROM with the Trinity kernel and after messing around with colors for about a week, I finally found, to me, the correct settings. The blacks are black and the whites are white.
I changed the colors via Trickster app, found in the Nexus 4 "theme/apps" forum. FYI
Hope these settings helps those looking for some good colors.

Calibrate Touchpad display colours and gamma?

I've recently installed a new kernel on my Nexus 4 with colour and gamma control, the difference in the screen is amazing, deep blacks and vibrant colours. But now my Touchpad looks very washed out colour wise. Does anyone know off a way to change this or if there are kernels out there with different settings,? I'm using Akop 4.2.2 by the way. Thanks.

Xperia Z; White Balance Configuration

Hi
Share ur 'White Balance' configuration
Saturation; 24
Hue; 194.5
:good:
-
Edited;
Back to awesome *default* values
cause i compare different balance and i get default value is awesome
if u wanna experience AMOLED like screen so set Hue to Blue part ~190 and Saturation; 10 (in my eyes)
I think new default in recent ROM is white enough. Sony isn't careless enough to go all the trouble fixing black level and put White Balance configuration but yet forget to re-calibrate the screen.
Anyway, 24 is too strong, keep at 3.3/195 at best for cool tone with possibly white screen if you're using latest firmware.
3.3/165
I'm using 9,0 / 220 on my Sharp panel. This setting provides the best possible white on the Z's Sharp panels. Compared with calibrated ips panel. At first it looks a bit cool, but this is because the default setting 0/0 is yellow. 3,3 / 195 is too blue on Sharp panel.
FYI: New firmware 10.1.1.A.1.253 has new default calibration and all existing white balance settings before this ROM won't work the same.
Sony is working on new display hardware tech and also its special software
so i think they will work more on 'White Balance' app and will improve it
Nice idea for a thread was looking for this kind of thread for inspiration for tweaking whites. The 3.3/195 config is pretty cool!

Kernel Request

Can any developers create a pure stock and vanilla stock kernel with Live Color and USB-Host?
Stock stuffs has been working for me fine, with the exception of display color. the yellow tint sometimes really makes me envy of Samsung or Crapple products.
or if iodak puts live color into his kernel? :cyclops:
