[Q]Increase in notifications added - Galaxy Ace S5830 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello
I noticed that the sounds of notifications that I added are lower than the original.
is there a way to increase the power of the sound files?
thank you

This is gonna sound reeeaallly stupid, but have you adjusted the volume settings for notifications?

yes of course

it seems that if your notification sounds is not load enough, there's nothing to fix on the phone settings.. your own added sound themselves need to be adjusted their volume by using 3rd-party's applications like Audacity.. i believe you can edit mp3 and wav files right through a certain android app, but i cannot recall which one it is..

yes I edited my mp3s with mp3gain, and increase its maximum and then converted to. ogg.
with rootexplorer , I copy the files.ogg in the file system media of android but the sound is much weaker than the original ring.
thx

I still do not find appropriate tips.
My sounds in Ogg as low.
Thanks

I just got my gear last night and I was having the worst time trying to figure this out. I think it's one or the other. I got so used to my Pebble vibrating, I just went ahead and changed the Gear to vibrate. I think it's more useful and discreet than having your watch ding at you anyway.
I tested this with calls and the audio on calls still comes through the watch and everything, so you're really just sacrificing audio on notifications for vibration and the vibration is much more noticeable anyway.
The only way I've found to really do this is to use the Null_ rom, Novalauncher, and this:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2582175
You can have this widget vibrate and/or sound when notifications come in, allowing you to have both.
It doesn't look like there's a way to do this with the Touchwiz launcher.

S6 Edge Plus Headphone Volume Boost & Speaker Volume Boost

S6 Edge Plus Headphone Volume Boost & Speaker Volume Boost
I'M NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY POSSIBLE DAMAGE DONE TO YOUR DEVICE AS A RESULT OF REPLACING SYSTEM FILES.
I WILL NOT TAKE ANY RESPONSABILITY FOR BRICKED PHONES OR LOST DATA.
So i looked everywhere to make the S6 Edge Plus sounds louder, but i could only find a louder mod for the S6 Edge, so I decided to do a small mod myself and share
If you want louder music for your headphones or a little louder for the speaker then simply unzip the attached mixer_gains.z7 and copy the mixer_gains.xml file to system/etc. and change the permissions to -rw -r -r. Restart your phone and enjoy better louder sound
REMEMBER, always back up the original mixer_gains.xml, and do a nandroid back up!
If you want the sounds lower or louder then edit the mixer_gains.xml input 1 Volume values in the media playback volume section from line 6.
Lines 26 and 27 is the headphone volume values.

I haven't tried it yet, but shouldn't it follow the "standard procedure"? Root phone, install Viper as system app, open app and adjust settings and that's it? Or is that too simple in the current stage of development, etc.?

I found this thread in the Edge forum: http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s6-edge/themes-apps/viper4android-s6-edge-root-t3072183. It seems that they made it possible via a lot of work arounds, but it ain't worth it for me (yet). I'll wait .

It seems the op only changed the speaker values and not the headsets aka headphones values
@Dee79 so the only lines you changed are the ones below - is that correct?

Disable shutter sound - camera/ss ?

Using rooted N960F right now.
Anyone knows how to mute shutter sound (camera-screenshot) in stock camera? My version doesn't have option to mute the sound in setting
Looking around xda, got several method to do that
1) use good lock's routines or other tasker app - set system vol 0 while on camera
2) delete file in system/media/ui
3) edit csc feature
i have done both 2 and 3 method, doesn't work. if possible i want avoid using tasker app just to mute camera sound (1).
my question is, where is the real location of camera's shutter media file? Is there any other way to mute shutter sound? i have root so any way that work will do
You can use silent mode pro from the store. It will do the job perfectly.

Or just turn down system sounds on the volume slider.

Disable the ascending ringtone on EMUI 10.1

Hi guys,
I have installed the latest version 10.1 and I don't know how to disable the ascending ringtone (I'm not speaking about the Pocket Mode).
The ring volume starts very low then goes high. I'd like the ringtone to ring directly with the volume I've chosen in the settings, not to increase it little by little. With version 10.0 there was no such problem and I don't know why HUAWEI imposed this in version 10.1.
Does anyone have an idea?
HOW to disable the ascending ringtone on EMUI 10.1
Try using this method, it should work. Thanks to @dbius for pointing me to it

Thank you for your answer! (I edited my first post to make it clearer for others too)
My problem is not the Pocket Mode, which I always leave activated, but the fact that the ring volume starts very low then goes high. I'd like the ringtone to ring directly with the volume I've chosen in the settings, not to increase it little by little. With version 10.0 there was no such problem and I don't know why HUAWEI imposed this in version 10.1.
This is the default ringtone style for emui 10.1, and cannot be changed This sucks big time. 10.1 is full of problems. Roll back to 10.0 is like an upgrade i think lol.
It's a real shame to impose such an option
