Tablet Mode - Galaxy Note GT-N7000 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi,
I own a Galaxy Note, a S2 and a Galaxy Tab 8.9 and i have same applications on 3 devices.
My question is:
Why some applications (pulse for example) are the same in Note and S2 and different in Tab? The Tab has same resolution of Note!
Pulse and Gmail for me are better on tab and i'd like to see in same mode on Note
I hope you understand what i mean, my english is a little approximate

Nobody can help me or you can't understand what i mean? (due to my poor english)

I imagine your tab is running honeycomb. The other two will be on gingerbread.
Your English is very good.

Yes, it's an OS issue. Some software developers have chosen to make the interface different for Honeycomb and Gingerbread. I have the Note and a Galaxy Tab 10.1. My partner has the S2 and a Galaxy Tab 8.9. The tablets (which run Honeycomb) are different from the phones, in some respects. Ice Cream Sandwich should help unify that.

Possible to use Samsung Galaxy Tab launcher?

Is there a standalone .apk of the Samsung Galaxy Tab launher that people can use on other devices (including the Nook)? The two devices have same screen size and resolution, so using it would be very easy, since both have almost the same specs.
If yes, does it run on 2.3?

Words with Friends on Galaxy Note

I have a Galaxy S II and an OG iPad. I want to sell them both and buy one device. The Galaxy Note looks good. The only thing I really do on my iPad is play Words with Friends, and it is awesome in portrait mode on an iPad. I know there is a honeycomb version of WWF, but am not sure if it can run in portrait mode (all the pictures I've seen is the landscape layout), and am not sure if the Galaxy Note can run the tablet version of the game since technically it's just a gingerbread phone with a high resolution. The Phone version of the game is unacceptable (yeah I'm a WWF addict). Can the Galaxy Note have the same WWF as the iPad?
Also, I am wondering about tablet apps in general on the Note, and their compatibility. I've read some mixed info on it so it's pretty confusing. Then there is also ICS.
I've ran Words with Friends on my Note with no problem on phone UI. I never actually tried with tablet UI because I quit playing WWF. Got bored with it.
Anyways, in phone UI it was only in portrait mode.
I have also tested WWF on GB and ICS and both work fine.
Its the same as the phone versions im afraid.

[Q] GT-P7510-Official ICS Release Notification?

Hey folks, this may seem like a dumb question.
I've got a 16GB WiFi-only Galaxy Tab 10.1 (GT-P7510). I'm running AOKP on it and I'm somewhat happy with that, but I'd like my camera and other stuff to work. As far as I can tell, the only way that's going to happen is after the stock ICS is released (need the stock ICS kernel for the hardware to all work correctly). There's no ETA on the official release of ICS for my device, just that it will happen "sometime". I registered my device at:
http://www.samsung.com/us/support/account
Is there any other / better way to get notified when ICS is released / leaked? Is this the best forum to be looking at for such an announcement?
sorry. it seems many people viewed this thread, but no one replied.
I, too dont know the answer maybe you can try posting in Samsung Galaxy tab 10.1 forum, bec. this is the galaxy tab P1000 and galaxy tab P1010 forum (i think)

[Q] ROMs for the P7510?

Does anyone know where I can find roms for the 10.1 wifi-only P7510? All the roms listed seem to be for gsm/cmda or for the smaller (7") wifi model. I had an old ICS build at one point for my tablet, but I can't seem to find that one anymore either.
Alternately, does anyone know if I can use other roms on the P7510?
Thanks!

Dude, your in wrong forum.
If you want 10.1 roms go to the 10.1 forum. This is the P1000 forum (first 7" tab) and is a completely different device.
given the name of the forums...
Samsung Galaxy Tab -->Galaxy Tab General --> [Q] ROMs for the P7510?
That's completely misleading.
Thanks though.

How is it completely misleading? Its you who is completely confused.
The P1000 was the first Galaxy Tab, It was/is just called "Galaxy Tab".
What you have is a newer model called "Galaxy Tab 10.1" which is a completely different device. Also, you obviously didn't even bother to look properly or you would have seen the other Tab forums.
There is more then one Galaxy Tab so obviously there is going to be more then one Galaxy Tab forum, pretty much common sense really.

Port Note 8.0 OS to Galaxy Tab 7.7

Not sure if anybody agrees with me. I was thinking the possibility to port Note 8.0 OS to Galaxy Tab 7.7.
I feel that the note 8.0 buttons and text are bigger than galaxy tab 7.7 which have small text that sometimes uncomfortable for my eyes, old eyes maybe
No doubt Note 8.0 has better processor, but tab 7.7 excel in graphics and I still love my tab 7.7 and I feel it's still not worth to dump my tab 7.7 for note 8.0
Anybody has better view on this?

I did follow your advise to install the ROM and I really like it! With bigger text and bigger buttons, indeed it looks like note 8.0 and very comfortable to use. Thanks!
