hi,
i tried breaking my tab p1000 some weeks back and installing ICS. it did got installed but the passwords were not getting saved, so i decided go to back to gingerbread. i put it on recovery mode and fell asleep. when i got up, the screen was showing the batt charge screen (hanged screen)
when i press the up vol and power button it goes into downlaod mode but i dont know wht to do after that,
when i press both vol button and press power button it says power reset or unknown upload mode. pls help me in recovering my p1000

Have you tried to restock your Galaxy Tab with odin in Download Mode?
Normally Volume Up + Power is recovery mode and Volume Down+Power is download mode and Volume Up + Volume Down + Power is power reset or unknown upload mode. You can search for GB stock safe for the Samsung Galaxy Tab P1000 on Google. Flash ONLY firmware for your Samsung Galaxy Tab! If you flash firmware that is not for your Galaxy tab your Galaxy Tab can be hard bricked!!!! When you have restocked your Galaxy Tab with odin in Download Mode and your Galaxy Tab will stuck on Samsung you must enter Recovery Mode and select Wipe Data\Factory Reset and Confirm it and Wipe Cache Partition and confirm it.

Now my Tab gets on and a phone to computer screen appears I tryed eversthing in Kies but nothing works Pls help !!!! Sorry for my bad english !

Try flashing with odin. Download odin 1.85

Boot your tab holding down the power button and the closest volune button
Instead of booting into recovery, enter into download mode.
Connect the device to your computer with the usb cable
Open up odin
Make sure you do not have repartion checked
Click pda and find that recovery file you downloaded on your computer
Click start and let it run. Do not interrupt it.

I faced the same by trying to flash CWM from rom manager itself.
I could resolve issue by just reflashing with odin correct clockworkmod recovery
I did the same thing than you
+ I rebooted using "reboot in recovery" so normal boot fail
+ BootLoader "Vol Down + Power" fail also because I tried to reach the recoverymod through it.
+ It doesn't reload
Somebody as any idea ?

Set the tablet down and let it die if it still has battery charge. if it doesn't have a charge hook it up to your charger and leave it there for a while. After some time has past with the charging cable still connected hold down the power and vol button and go into download. not recovery
then follow the steps of my previous post. Download odin and the proper recovery for your device and flash it through odin

Actually the device was bugged with a black screen, not turned off.
When I woke up this morning it was perfectly booted. So I turned it off and flashed the recovery again.

COMPLETE novice here and resulting in a dead Galaxy Tab after trying to update to ICS. IT wont charge will not boot up and can't get into any mode by pressing start and volume up or down.
Only thing after about 20 seconds with power and volume up key pressed a brief message stating: 'Power Reset or Unknown Upload mode'
I cant get it to be recognised by computer whatever I do
Is it just for the bin now or can anyone help with a fix a total novice can understand please.
Help would be appreciated

In that case you are not completely dead.
You can try the following:
- plug your tab for about 4hs using your wall charger.
- install the Samsung drivers in your PC.
- try to start your tab, when in download mode try to restock using Odin.

(I think this set of steps works in these
conditions: Hard-brick, absolutely non-
responsive to any button combination.
Odin still recognizes the phone when
connected through USB port)
1.- Remove both the SIM card and de
microSD card.
2.- KEEP YOUR BATTERY REMOVED
3.- Apply the Download-mode button
combination (known by you all)
4.- WHILE HOLDING THE
COMBINATION, insert the battery, and
keep the buttons pressed untill you get
the download mode.
5.- Flash your phone with a valid
firmware through Odin (Preferebly,
have Odin prepared before doing this

Try to press power+home+vol down+vol up
It'll go to emergency download mode.

my galaxy mini also hard brick cannot go to downloading mode or recovery mode .tried jsb jig also cannot any other solution ???????

I have a Samsung mini S7750, in resetting to factory defaults boot.
Boot mode or recovery mode does not.Only works is a combination of "home + vol up + vol down" moves into some mode where it while Odin detects the two com ports, but nothing to do, Odin hangs on setup conection.
JIG does not work [resistor 301kohm].Display is black.

Try the simple just "hold power+home". It'll be leads you to recovery mode, then you should flash the appropriate rom for s5570. Cchopefully help

Hi. My S5570 is hard bricked. Will not turn on in any way i try. Does not go on download or recovery mode. The USB Jig method does not work for me. (I tried with around 3) and I connected my phone to my laptop and help down power + home + vol up and it does not recognise my device but when i do power + home + vol up + vol down it recognises it. I then used Odin to recover it but I have tried over 50 times and it is always stuck on "Setup connection...". Can someone please help? I have already tried re-installing Samsung USB Drivers. Still not working. Please help and thanks!

Only hold vol up+home+power and THEN connect it if download mode works. I mean if it's recognized by the computer, download mode has to work, there is no way. If it does, then flash a stock ROM.
Oh and also something: before doing this, pull out your sd card and even your sim card. The same thing happened to my phone and Odin could flash it after removing everything.

There is another way that u can try:
(Asumming that samsung mobile drivers are installed, with no Samsung KIES... & odin running in the foreground.)
*Remove sim, sdcard & battery.
*Now connect ur phone(without battery) to pc via usb cable.
*Now press the usual download mode keys(volume down & home & power buttons) together without the battery.
*While still holding those three buttons, insert the battery.
At this point Odin should detect ur phone so that u can flash stock firmware.
U can try this atleast since u r left with no choice:sly:.

I have samsung galaxy Ace s5830..... i installed "[GB 2.3.6] AceJB | Cooperve" Custom Rom in it.. and this rom was running without any problem but were having some very little lagg.. and then i used "ThunderKernel for Cooperve" Kernel (from CWM recovey) .... and now my phone is dead.... phone is not responding... even cant going in recovery mod by pressing Power button + home key (phone remains dead no response).... then i tried Volume down key + power button + Home key to go to in Downloading mode for Odin.... and not even responding in simply power button to start... what else i can try.... ??? somebody please help me.... sorry but i am not blaming ThunderKernel... but my phone is dead now...but please somebody help me to bring my phone back to life.... plz plz plz.....

Firstly, you should know custom roms for "cooperve" are designed to run only on Samsung Galaxy Ace S5830i and not on Samsung Galaxy Ace S5830. Only custom roms for "cooper" are designed to run on Samsung Galaxy Ace S5830. Due to hardware differences, running cooperve roms or kernels on Samsung Galaxy Ace can brick your phone. Sadly you have bricked your phone. But @SuperMini has provided us with a rather simple guide on how to unbrick Samsung Galaxy Ace. Go through the entire thread and you will get to know all the possible solutions. Here is the link,

Glad to hear its working! Here is the link on how to install stock rom using odin along with all firmwares,
Flash stock rom on Samsung Galaxy Ace S5830 using odin
Once installed, go to recoverymod and do a wipe data/ factory reset & wipe cache (otherwise bootloop might occur). Then restart. Now you have successfully flashed the stock rom. Here is the link for rooting and installing CWM 5 on Samsung Galaxy Ace,

nice link... downloaded all the thing needed but... Volume down + power + Home is not working and not even responding for downloading mode.... but if i use volume up button instead of volume down with power button + home key... then it responding... and then Odin detacts it.. but when i click on start it stuck on "setup connection" and then... is remains there.. i waited approx 24 min there... i tried this thing on 3 different computers.. with fresh samsung drivers... but none of any pc worked... any suggestion..... i am using "Cooper_v1.0.ops" in OPS and then i use Stock firmware downloaded from samsung site that was mentioned in ur link.... is there anything i left to do.. or may be i am mistaking in something.... Can you try switching the USB ports? Also try to enter Download mode by pressing Vol Down+ Power+ Home button as per the guide again. Pressing Vol Up+ Power+ Home button makes your phone to enter RAM Dump mode. Also inside odin, unselect "Protect OPS" option and give it a try. Do post your result. Hope I Helped

i tried it on 3 different computers and yes with different USB ports also... none of them worked ....
vol down + power + home not responding ... even my phone's screen is remains dead... black.. no light.. dead... even little green robot on the screen with the text "Downloading, don't turn off target" is also not showing....
i tried unselecting "protect OPS"... but again failed...
Odin only detacts my phone in Vol Up + power + home key mode.....

Make sure you have the latest USB drivers and uninstall KIES if you have it. Try again!

Bro, I thought the Downloading Mode for Odin was working since you posted this earlier.
I didn't knew about vol up + power + home is for go in ramdump mode.. I thought it is downloading mode.. Sorry it was my mistake... You told me abt this.... now plz tell me what to do to bring my phone in life.... my PC and USB responding very well.. But my phone side not responding.. Now what should I do.. ?

No... just after that phone gone dead... means i flash this kernel via CWM Recovery and then dead... no boot screen... no boot loop... no recovery option by power + home key.... no downloading mode via power + vol down + home key...

@fernando15j had a similar problem but he was able to go to Download mode by connecting the phone to PC with Odin set ready and pressing Download Mode button and then Vol Up. He then clicked Start on Odin and everything worked fine for him. Can you try that? Here is the link on how he did it,

yes it was booting after flash cooperve rom.. but when i flashed cooperve KERNEL.. after that phone dead..
