I have bought the galaxy tab 8.9 (with SIM) but still facing problems on not finding som applications on the market like google earth.
I am currently in UAE, but not using a SIM card, I have rooted my tab, installed market enabler and could successfully lock on AT&T, Verizon, etc... yet with no luck on finding or downloading the earth from the market
I am not able to locate the problem, could you please help?

once i facing the same problem, my solution i flash overcome rom, problem solved!
What Rom did you use? Was on samsung tab 8.9?

I have had to use market enabler once.
If I remember correctly, I had to delete data for Market (and perhaps reboot?) so that Market Enabler takes effect

I was thinking of rooting my phone as advised by most people here on OCN.
How exactly do i do this and what do i do?

If u use search function u will find lots of guides on how to root. Easyest would be to download oclf from the market and read the help screen that pops up the first time u open the app

The only difference between my problem and his problem is that his trying to download an attached thing and I'm trying to download an .apk-file from droidfanz.com. Both of us get a download.php-file instead. I have ASTRO File Manager installed but it doesn't help nor other browsers than stock. ANY SUGGESTIONS?
I'm really getting angry at Samsung cause my friends with HTC Desire and Desire HD have no problems downloading .apk-files from droidfanz.com

Galera'm from Brazil and I have a Galaxy Tab 7 "national, not only I as many or all who have this device here in Brazil are facing a problem with Flash Player 10.2 on, after installing it when trying to view a flash website the browser crashes and restarts, this happens with every browser available in Market. Here in Brazil knowing no one is dealing with this problem, I wonder if the forum Would anyone have or had this problem, is able to solve and how, or if this problem and update for you. Have you tried uninstalling and re-installing Flash? Also make sure you have the latest version, there should be a Flash 10.3 update available in the market.
This happens world-wide, not just Brazil. The above method is the current fix. Note: you have to uninstall the app, not letting the market update it.
Guys already did the procedure mentioned above, yes, uninstall the current version and flash it reinst 10.1, and that single version of Flash Galaxy is working on my tab, the Falash 10.2 and 10.3 do not run at all. The reason I wanted to install the latest version of flash and that I use (10.1) has many bugs, and the flash sites I like to access are running with many difficulties, many legs and slowly, even in videos 360p run difficulties, hug and thanks for the help.
I want to point you to an xda member named humberos, who is the expert in the latin version of the tab. Find him in the rom development section.
I had the same problem, whem I upgrade my ROM from JJ3 to JMG. I don't find a solution, I downgrade the ROM.
I'm using a JM9 ROM, I hope this help.

I have a Samsun Galaxy Tab 7.0 WiFi GT-P1010, that I just recently updated the software to GB.XXKPI, Kernel 2.6.35.7-CL749223, Firmware 2.3.6, and then i rooted the device using CWM. Now, my WiFi isn't working, the button to turn on WiFi says error.
A friend of mine rooted my phone and it had the same error, but i am unable to contact him. Where or how would i go about getting the wifi drivers/firmware or whatever kind of of software i need to enable the wifi?

Witch CWM did you use?
The only one that worked for me, I got at MadTeam forum.
Thats the only one that works with KPI.

The version I'm running is CWM Manager 3.0 by Chainfire.
It says my kernel is unknown.

unfortunately, the madteam website is broken or soemthing because i havnt been able to get the stupid Captcha thing doesnt work.
i have the sam probelms..too..after i upgrade gb P1010DXKP5_P1010OLBKP5_HOME.tar than i instal madteam-cwm-p1010-kpi..my wifi doesn't work..i read other solution like copy wifi folder on \system\etc\wifi ...but doesn't work either...is there solution for this cwm on gb..btw i allready try flash other firmware from other region...then install cwm again ...and don't work either on wifi...desperate need my tab for work...any solution i should try...help please..:crying::crying:

Just to remind.. When you want to install mod rom.. Just make sure the base of cwm region is the same as yours.. (if cwm like madteam. Is base on kpi. Ireland region, so you better install your stock rom with the same region as madteam does). Btw i'm using cwm madteam and stock rom from the same region(kpi). And works find.

hi i recently installed the rom aokp_p1_build-38 rom and everything was great except that i have no mobile network. i live in the philippines and whenever i try to search for a mobile provider, the system doesnt see any, i have my sim card inserted. any ideas? thank you in advance.

Firstly, use descriptive titles. For example a descriptive title would be something like "Mobile network problem after flashing AOKP rom". Your title doesn't really give any information to people browsing forum other then you have a problem.
Second, you should first search forum, then if no answer post in the roms thread you have flashed.
Third, Your problem is that you haven't also flashed the appropriate modem file for your device. Search forum.
