The most recent video on there shows how to copy an apk from your phone after downloading it from the market. While this is handy for free apps, it's illegal for paid apps. Please remove that video.

Sorry, as Archer said, we can't allow linking to any videos that are promoting warez or other activities that could be construed as piracy.

tubedroid

Hi everyone. I am looking for the app tubedroid. I had it once and since I rooted the app that I saved doesn't work anymore. For those of you that don't know what tubedroid is, you can download any video from youtube to your sdcard. Any help would be great.
I'm assuming it had something to do with it being illegal since downloading from youtube is forbidden.

can't see why downloading from youtube is illegal. I can send it to facebook, and you can download stuff to your desktop. Im not trying to sell it to make a profit, want less hassel when I want to watch my favorite music video.
It's against youtube tos probably.
I dont claim to know the ins/outs of youtubes tos... but how do apps like videodownloader get away with direct dl's from YouTube?

Ok illegal is probably not the right word, but it is against google policies so they will pull any app that does it from the market.

If it is illegal to download it then it's illegal to watch it. You cannot watch it without downloading it. They may want to stop you from saving it but they can't stop you from downloading it without raking the video down. The same is true on the streaming music services. Take a look at Grooveshark's EULA. It's very well written in that regard.

try gameloft.com they have some kool games.
Well, i can't find these apps on the market ..
I al using a 2.3.3 version. Is that the reason ?
Thanks for your links
If im not wrong, both of these websites mentioned contain warez content.
Do not post warez or links to sites that have warez on XDA. Also do not request any apps that are not free. It only ends up with a closed thread and several infractions.
Noellenchris
look carefully at the market, paid apps

neither the market nor gameloft.com are warez-sites.
There have probably been post containing links to warez sites, that have already been deleted by the mods.

Please upload videos on any other site

Please guys upload XDA tv videos on any site other than Youtube. It is blocked in Pakistan and a few other countries. So please upload to vimeo or any other site.
Thanks
We are considering using an in-house video player in the near future. That should let you see them

another video, but still I can't watch it. Please admins come on use anything else than Youtube or Dailymotion.
At this time we don't really have the resources or time to manage multiple uploading locations. I'm sorry your country puts a restriction on YouTube. Hopefully, our In-House Player option will help when it gets rolled out in the future, but at this time there isn't much we can do.
Just upload a copy to Viemo, it is accessible .it will just take 5 mins.

Sample videos. These are delivered with almost all the devices. Its like the sample videos, pictures and music on newly installed Windows
yeah, I always delete them. It's only a few mb, but they take up unnecessary space.
Those videos do actually serve a purpose, they were used in Google Talk when you're in a video chat and you enable the sunset/space backdrops. Though I imagine they'll be removed in the future now that Talk has been replaced with Hangouts (which lacks the backdrop feature)
Still they are something people normally don't know.(I guess)
