(APK) AT&T Visual Voicemail for *ALL!!! (*See AT&T Rules) - HTC Vivid, Raider, Velocity

Okay, took some time, but here it is, AT&T Visual Voicemail for AT&T customers using ANY & ALL Roms, custom or other than CWS__001 stock.
Please feel free to use it or link to it here, just make sure you give me a little love (mention) & hit the thanks button.
This is intended for chefs to provide cooked in or as an addition for their AT&T users. It should also work on Captivate, Captivate Glide, Inspire, SGS & SGS2 roms.
READ ME: For Visual Voicemail to work, you need to either have one of the Android 2.3.x officially provisioned for the service or you must have paid for the service.
On some devices, you may need to set up the AT&T PTA APN for this to work.
I do not publish hacks or cracks that violate terms of service or help you avoid paying for services. If you have an LTE Android Device Visual Voicemail sock was added to your account at provisioning & will then work on any of your devices with this file.

Thanks a ton for this. I know it's a small feature but one I use a lot so I appreciate you doing this. I just installed it on HoliRaider 0.3 and it works perfectly.

Just so I'm clear, I'm still on my inspire but as long as I'm running a ROM other than stock, this will work?
Sent from my Inspire 4G using XDA App

This will work on stock as well, but most stock roms already have it, I know all LTE devices do & come with it free at least. However, this will NOT mess up your trunk or sock like the AT&T Messages app will. THIS WILL WORK WITH YOUR EXISTING VOICEMAIL & WILL NOT CAUSE THE ISSUES THAT AT&T MESSAGES CAUSED.
It is the standard AT&T Visual Voicemail that comes on the vivid & SGS2 SkyRocket.
Again, It should also work on stock roms.

Thanks.
Unfortunately, I keep getting a " account cannot be verified at this time" prompt after calling my voicemail. I've tried it three times and keep getting the same message.

It will work on an Inspire, but your account has to be provisioned for it. All LTE accounts come provisioned with the sock required for use.
So , if you have a Vivid or any other LTE device or have used Visual Voicemail in the past it will work on the Inspire as verified by another member.
Visual Voicemail from AT&T is free on certain 2.3+ and all LTE Android devices. There is a chart at the AT&T Wireless website. If you are on one of the devices, or purchased the service it works on any device. This is not a hack or crack however, that will get you something you didn't pay for.

How is this compaired with Google voice visual? Its what I have been using, haven't touched the att

I used Google Voice on my old HTC Aria and it seemed a bit buggy. I've been impressed with the ATT Visual Voicemail. I finally grew some cajones and flashed Rumraiders Rom and it's working flawlessly. I was previously rooted just using the stock rom and no issues on the stock either.

Nope. When they check up, it's usually just the IMEI. They ask what you're using (KB1, JH7...) but they assume most don't even know what that means or where to find that info.
I recently have called them from my phone and they didn't mention anything about it not being stock. When I look at my account online from my computer it still shows the captivate.

I'd be careful with Cyanogen though. When I flashed Cyanogen, I received an e-mail from Google saying "Welcome to Nexus S!". I didn't check, but I wouldn't be surprised as AT&T started listing my number online as a Nexus S or some other random Android phone that isn't the Captivate.
In fact, that same question occurred to me today, because I'm running Cyanogen on my HTC Inspire and I need to dial in so they can set up my Voicemail (for some reason, whenever I switch phones my voicemail gets screwed up).

Are you sure you got it on cyanogen, and not on supercurios port? Because the cm rom has correct model numbers, where as supercurios port is a direct rip from the Nexus S.

The email you receive is not from at&t and is just because the rom uses nexus s market foot print.

The answer is almost certainly no. There is a capability using device management tools to report back ROM details but right now the care reps don't have any access to it or any procedures that use it. They don't even have access to your IMEI so don't worry about custom ROMs unless you are physically returning the device.

What's more, based on my experiences with the Customer Service reps, most of them wouldn't care. The Front Office might, if you had to send in your phone, but every CS rep I've ever talked to has been mighty laid-back about the "rules."

I realize that. But because of the fact that it uses the Nexus S market footprint, it would also (logically) use the same Nexus S footprint over the AT&T network. Otherwise, what you said makes no sense.

Oh gosh that is so far from wrong it's not funny. "Care reps", otherwise known as technicians who fix your problems have every right to access your IMEI number without your consent. Your phone's IMEI is stored by AT&T as a ref number, and can be accessed from the AT&T database at any given time, even by the technicians.

There is an IMEI record for the device you purchased NOT what you are actually using on the network. There is also a TAC reference collected by OTA whenever the SIM goes into a new device, but the care reps (industry standard term, btw) have no scripts using it as far as I know. For example, AT&T still reports me as having a Bold 9700 on my 1st line when it has actually been a Cappy since August. Bottom line, AT&T generally doesn't give a crap what device you use.

Visual Voicemail on AT&T Samsung Focus S

If you have a Dev Unlocked Focus S on At&t and update via to 8107 you NEED to flash 7740 first then 8107. Make sure to Include the language cabs as well......Baciscally just follow what Heathcliff74 state in his thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1306415
You can change you plan via at&t to add LTE with visual voicemail and it will work and very well I might add, on our focus s'

Is there a specific procedure to getting it activated through AT&T? I changed my plan online to get the new LTE plans, and tried to activate it and it didn't work. I also called them and asked them to activate VVM on my phone, and they said it doesn't support it.
Do what you said...change option on device...you don't need to call them....then call you voicemail and put your in....and VM will show up.

Change what option on the device? Under phone settings it says "Traditional Voicemail" below that it has a button to call voicemail, and below that a message saying in order to get VVM you have to have it activated on your account first.
If possible, can you be specific as to what needs to be changed and where, and give a full explanation of the procedure?

Pretty much. AT&T has stated they were still "testing it" as far back as October. This is ridiculous imo. I'm happy with AT&T overall with their service, and how many new WP devices they are getting, but I'm really having a hard time giving them a pass on how long this is taking to implement.

Weird, I'm on the new version and dimming issues still abound. I hate the stupid automatic dimmer, but it seems the only way to turn it off is to disable automatic brightness, turn off the samsung auto-dimmer, then turn back automatic brightness on for it to stick. A reboot resets it and the stupid samsung dimmer turns on again.

You are correct...However dimming issues still persisted when on 7720 and auto brightness in extra settings was set to "off".
8107 seemed to remedy this.
Anyone replicate this yet?
I actually replicated this kind of. I switched to a friends phone for a minute and switched my plan online to the 4G LTE. I then setup VVM on the android phone. I then put my sim back in my Focus Flash. When I clicked on my new voicemail notification, it prompted me for my Voicemail password. It then added the swipe to the side capability for visual voicemail. However, it has problems connecting, so it doesnt seem to completely work for me. Any ideas OP?
Download the wireless manager for Samsung and check the auto APN box. Reboot.

I'll offer $100 to the first dev to get TMO 4G working

I have an AT&T HTC Vivid that I've rooted, S-Off, Unlocked, and love the phone, but would like 4G.
I tried flashing the Amaze radio.img, but it appeared to do absolutely nothing. I can't even validate it loaded the radio. See here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1798610
It's been done on other devices, as pointed out in that thread, so I believe it's possible.
There's also this thread, which makes total sense to me (the reasons it can work): http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1548553
So, I will donate $100 USD to the first dev that can get this working.
**EDIT**
If this needs to be posted somewhere else, I apologize in advance.

Visual voicemail t mobile prepaid

Alright guys. Ran a search and didn't see topic yet (not for T-Mobile anyhow) so I figured I would start one.
I use T-Mobile prepaid. I've not seen a prepaid phone be able to utilize the visual voicemail app on T-Mobile monthly 4g...until now.
I just installed it on my nexus 4 and it works.

Yes. Works on the thirty dollar plan. Presumably works on other prepaid plans as well.

People with the $30 plan actually give that number out? I ported to GV and don't even know my $30 plan number! I let Google Voice handle everything, including message transcription. Called 611 and had them disable my T-Mo voicemail.
Loads better than a carrier branded VVM.

I agree but I had trouble porting my sprint number to Google voice and gave up. I ended up porting my sprint number to T-Mobile so I wouldn't lose it and now can't port my T-Mobile number(old sprint #) to GV. Any ideas? Excuse the off topic please just frustrated...

What is this visual voicemail you speak of? (I'm switching to T-mobile soon) TIA
YES! I've been waiting for others to post about this. I've noticed that mine has been working for about two weeks. I almost cried when I realized it started working. I hope it's not just some flaw in the VVM app update that's allowing us onto it. But one thing I did notice is that MetroPCS offers VVM on their plans of equal value. Maybe T-Mobile is following suit. Btw, I'm on the $60 T-Mobile Monthly4G plan.

The t mobile visual voicemail app. Basically it shows you who your voicemail is from
And allows you to pick and choose which voicemail you want to listen to rather than dialing out and having to listen to all of them.

Yeah. I was thinking perhaps it was this phone but it works on my wife's phone now as well.

Can't get the visual voicemail app to work, won't establish a connection to the server. Any suggestions?

I also use the T-Mobile VVM app since I'm on prepaid, works just fine, but I don't see why it can't be integrated into the stock phone app.
Can someone on a T-Mobile-based MVNO like StraightTalk or Solavei try the T-Mobile Visual Voicemail app and see if it works?
