Camera Confirmed to work on Topaz!

Hi All
Today I found a combination (which might have been out there for a while) how the Camera actually is working for Topaz Android
1. Download the FRX04 version
2. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=883966 check there for section "Topaz Users"
3. Don't forget the post "[23/01/2011] :" to dissable 2 rows in froyo.conf file
The Camera was able to startup and I took one Picture
The speed of the Cam.. well.. don't be to happy.. but it is working anyway

Yeah,works fine, but only 3 MP and without auto-focus,but it works more quick than im windows mobile.
Oh,but programm(name forgotten) in FRX04 for Rhodium(23.01.11) is more usable,you can make photo by pressing on volume keys

yes indeed WinMo is quicker.. but one step at the time This is the first time I ever on my Topaz and Android was able to even see that it was "connected" and that I could take a picture.
The next development will be that the rest of the goodies will appear such as speed and autofocus etc etc..

Please, keep in mind that it's in debug state, a branch of XDAndroid code made by viruscrazy.

yes with provided topaz test kernel it's working till 3mp pictures
@5mp camera crashed... but this is allready known and developer asked for dmesg log files to finetune the driver...

Updated Lib_package to fix the froyo.user.conf file (thanks to arrrghhh again, you're the "conf file" specialist) and the Blackstone picture crash (I hope...). If you are using latest FRX04 build and rootfs, you may have to disable the two following lines (add a "#" at the begginnning of the line) :

Could DEVs add camera to Gingerbread?

There is a new fix for 5MP. It works. You need the Kernel from 28.01.11 and the new attached Haret Version. Do not use the attached kernels and don't forget to write the line:
set INITRD_OFFSET 0x608000
under "set initrd initrd.gz" (Startup.txt)

I also confirm it works

Here it doesn't. New haret makes the topaz reboot in winmo...

Well, it doesn't seem to work with Froyo X...

What doesn't seems to work?
The Camera is working but as the forum said.. only stable up to 3Mpixels...

check this link where I have uploaded my andboot.
1. Download it and extraxt it anywhere
2. put the 2 folders on the root of your SD Card.
3. Start Haret.exe
hotfile .com /dl/101065742/b00ae64/andboot.rar.html

but in this version wifi error after reconnect... :-(

Solution to ginsense gapps not found.

Hi rushness i have used all your Roms but i had the problem with ginsense with gapps.The people who can't see gapps at first start(including market)should push the screen/widgets/market widget and go in.When the phone is trying to execute market gives you a posibility of install a list of apps.

the info on the market was a bit confusing

It's advertisement filter for http, program will run without advertisement and doesn't need always update /etc/hosts with adfree.

pls can put some more light on this and how to use this??

Just put nsio.ko to /sdcard/.netspector/nsio.ko, when install netspector from the market when you run it just tap in menu load module, when load new default filter.
When it loaded press on now all advertisement from program would be removed if they try to load from Internet. Also you may see statistics how often it was blocked.
P.S. you must have root for your device.

Files can be used but still can not load filters

The Gaming of our LG Optimus 4X HD

As we all know the gaming at Our Phone isnt really good some report it's Slow beacause theres only 1 core online. But there is an solution for this!

Requirements;
Root.
A Root file explorer to get into your system files...
A brain to reed this careful.
What to Do;
Extract the Zip Thats in the attachmnts.
Get it onto your phone. (internal External doesnt matter I suggest Internal)
Go to your file explorer And past the file in: System\Etc\Init.d\
And set Permissions!
Reboot.
Enjoy Gaming!

In the top of that script . Which tells the system to sh this test .
And you forot to mention fixin permission.
Also this needs init.d kernel support or busybox run-parts in order to run this script every reboot .

SManager will run the script when klick "is script"...

When you use smanager it's an app that is designed to run scripts .
But if it was in the init.d folder you must add that line to tell the kernel that this test is a script . And the kernel will use the sh binary to run it .

Thank you for letting me know even. And I've made this one beacause your Script wasn't clear for me so i couldn't understand you know?

just for making sure, you guys do know what this script does?
it makes the GPU to run always (!!!) on max speed. this will reduce the battery life extremely.
this script should not be ran at every boot. you better only run it when you want to play games (and maybe reboot afterwards, or write a "undo" script)

I think the Battery Drain is not the main Problem. It isn't higher than without that Tweak.
But i have one Question!
Is it possible for you to implement this Tweak in your kernel?
So when you selected the Gaming Governor, that this tweak is also active. And if you turn off the Gaming Governor again, the tweak is terminated.
I don't know if it's possible, so i ask you.

can i use it on rooted v20B locked bootlader? there is no init.d folder in system\etc\, should we create that folder manually?
what is the permission? thanks

"better battery" could only be caused by the first command (unlink). the others only increase the batter usage.
this tweak is (partly (the unlink)) implemented in my rom. but i'm working on unlinking in the kernel of course.
about the idea about gaming: yeah i do have something in mind, but it's gonna be a bit different just wait and see right now i'm working on OC'ing the GPU, and then we can do such changes.

I've translated and it's same lol (I'm Dutch and it's like German.)

But anyway i cant set premission via root explorer or antything else and cant copy to /system/ folder... I have rooted phone and checked via root checker. Love this phone problems with everything, maybe reflash will help but i dont have time for that.

Isn`t this the same as using tegra overclock under GPU Clock section? It`s paid but it`t really worth it!

Ok Guys! The Werewolf alpha2 Kernel from laufersteppenwolf is much better than this Tweak! For all who use CM 10.1, flash this Kernel!
Don't forget to delete this Script if you flash the Kernel!

Need help to root HP Touchpad 16Go no-4G

Hello, I'm novice in all this, but, I have installed CyanogenMod 12 for Android 5.1.1. I wanted to overclock the CPU, by using Antutu CPU Master, but it needs Root. I searched how to root my Hp Touchpad 16go on google, but, all the things I have found didn't work : Kingroot, Binary... So, I want to know If I need to install this ROM : https://forum.xda-developers.com/hp-touchpad/development/rom-evervolv-7-0-0p1-wifi-t3456292 and then after install this : https://forum.xda-developers.com/hp...kernel-skz-overclock-kernel-evervolv-t3513534 to overclock the CPU or if I just need somethink that I missed.
