Ya man..I want to upgrade the processor and gpu too..help me
Dude,this is a phone.Not a pc.You cant do that

Ok, i will help you. First of all, get knowledge about programming and chips and electronics.
Then de-assemble your phone.
Beg a manufacturer to send you "a" gpu. (Since normal orders are in terms of 100k i think?)
If that doesn't work, but a second hand mobile with a better gpu.
But oh wait, the gpu and cpu are on same chip. hmmmm
ok then remove the cpu+gpu from the 2nd hand mobile and replace the cpu and gpu on the ace with it. (use the knowledge you earned before)
Well hoping you did everything right till now, you would have to rewrite the whole firmware/kernel code. Use the programming skills you acquired before eh!
If you did everything right, you should be good to know. you might encounter few issues but i guess with the knowledge you would have till then and the experience, you would be able to overcome them.
Note: I will not be responsible for any damage to your phone!
Phew! Pretty easy right?
Good Luck!
Edit : Doh! I read his post again. He wants us to ask him! sorry buddy.. i misunderstood ya! Please tell us

Our phone does not have an HD display, so there is no point. I've managed to install and run a few HD games, but they do not look any better. You can increase the GPU performance by OC'ing the CPU and installing CM7 based ROM's; even so, it is a marginal increase.

How to Build a Custom Recovery image?????

So My girlfriend has Garminfone and there is no info on the internet at all on how to overclock or a custom kernel or anything really so i Have rooted it but would like to do more so i have done a lil research and will like to build Custom Recovery for the phone but before i start i thought i would post a thread here with all my Optimus one family that i trust and love to get some tips and hopefully even some instructions as the instructions online are hard to fallow ??? so anything ???
Can give a clear answer about that, because its different for most phones.
Some phones like our Optimus One have a recoverypartition, a phone like Samsung Galaxy 3 has not. It took some work to port CWM to that phone and mumbozver (an XDA-user on de Galaxy 3-thread) managed to port it to that phone).
Guess it's best to post a question in the main android-section for this
make "cat /proc/mtd" in "adb shell".
If there are error - porting will be hard

Maybe start with telling us which phone we are talking about...
Here some specs that might help you:
Garminfone is the market name from "Nüviphone A50".
- MSM7227 chipset
- ARM Cortex A11 procssesor (ARMv6) @600MHz
- 256MB RAM
- 4GB ROM
- A-GPS
- WLAN b/g
- 3MP camera
- display have 480 x 320 Pixel
with this informations you can go at first to the step from mik, if it works might be
you can adapt a custom recovery for that phone
Oh... Nuviphone A50. I got this junk for free with their navigation. Well, frankly - you are better off throwing that brick away. One of the worst Android phones ever.

Well, if the guys on the thread I have linked are not even willing to team up to finally produce something after basically having wasted about a year on this without getting it even bootable... good luck with this.
I would personally suggest bricking the phone intentionally and claiming warranty. Pretty sure this junk has been EOLed so you might get a decent phone as replacement. (Though, you might be unfortunate enough to get a brand new replacement brick since the Garmin's stock must be full of these collecting dust. )

Serious question_replacing processor

It may sound stupid
But still...want to ask! for example i may have a skills to replace a processor!!! for phone...dont think so tho
I just found it interesting
Would it be possible to change our processor to armv7
i havent studied our phone shematics and staff
but if it would fit...and it could be placed and connected right
would everything work? well if someone knows
I like going deep in things!!! some may understand!
dont say it isnt interesting ;D
but how possible it is...i have big doubts about that
go ahead and try.
Ofcourse you can't replace it
but would be cool!
Overclock to 820mhz and this should melt the solder and make your arm 6 easy to remove ha ha. Its a good question, when you were studying did you notice if an arm 7 would even fit? and if it did fit and manage to work well with all other components do you think software support might be a stumbling block. Keep us updated if you do get brave and try it, you might want to see if an x10 mini 5mp lens would work 1st, it would be a nice unique mod.
;D u know how much we want things to be better! But some things are impossible to get done i suppose, however ill try to discover everything about it!
Haha, you are wrong here.nothing is impossible.i believe it would work.and for sure if i had armv7 processor i would try it.if psp has armv7,i will try it.

hmm ill dissamble it one day and see how it all actually looks and sww if its possible to desolder it without damaging...obviously will have to use some kind of heat sinks!
I have a few minor scratches.i ran over it with a tractor!and its still in a great shape!

Replacing processor in x8 is different with replacing PC's processor. Afaik, however, there is governor wich the driver of most xda processor, you still need new kernel for your new arm7, it means you have to bypass the bootloader first.. then you make a miniloader for your new chipset. Btw, is x8 like wheels " sell in parts ! " LoL..

fließkommaberechnung = floating-point calculation
armv6-vfp is what the Ace runs on... vfp = Vector Floating Point, not just straight armv6.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ARM_architecture#Floating-point_.28VFP.29
So maybe it is possible to port it.
However, I would like to point out that Minecraft PE is a paid app, that means no one should be sharing a copy of it on xda, whether or not it has been modified for armv6, in spite of this, there is a free demo version of the app available, so it would probably be more appropriate to work on/share a port of that.

Not really agree with you there. No one should share a paid app cuz it will hamper devs. BUT if the app it's not supported for this device, then no harm will come to porting the full version as long as you don't go sharing around, specially with people that have a compatible device and can afford it.
So basically, with all due respect to devs, if they don't support you, no harm in supporting yourself.

You do have a fair point, and I agree with you morally, but the issue is xda says no sharing of paid stuff at all, its not meant to be done on here, so really, end of story... Also, "if they don't support you," to be honest with you, I'm currently trying to write an app & I'm not going to lie, supporting every single device is an absolute pain, I think almost supporting everything around nowadays, but its not exactly a complex game...
Anyhow, I think I will look into porting this onto our phone, see if it does work. (Although my hopes aren't exactly high).

are you sure? Check wikipedia or any other tool. Even mx player and vidcon use neon codec. I think it's sofware's fault. It said not to be supported on nexus, tegra 2/3.

have you read before download?
"Does not work on Galaxy Nexus or Tegra 2/3". Maybe an alternative available. How about giving a overlay of chainfire 3d before installing this?
I have read Screencast information before downloading and I'm aware that it says it does not support Tegra3.
My question was about the "LG Logo" being recorded.
Screencast seems to be working fine, it does not complain about the Tegra3 chip while recording, but when you watch the video recorded, what you see is an LG logo with "LG" text.
I tried another application (whose name I can not remember), the same thing, LG logo.
Is there any other application you know which can record like Screencast and does not require the NEON feature? (whatever it is...)
Can anybody with any custom ROM installed try to record with Screencast?
You didnt see the problem.
the NEON i talked about is a feature enabled in the cpu
All known to me screen recording apps uses this feature to request a raw copy of the data that goes to the screen, which is then saved as something you can use later
When nVidia created Tegra 2 - and later Tegra 3 - they chose not to implement this feature - for reasons unknown to me.
Instead the kernel will give it a copy of the initial boot picture. This cannot be changed
Sorry if the language was hard to understand.

Where on earth do you get your bull****? Lol Tegra 2 doesn't have NEON, but Tegra 3 does support NEON. Also, where did you get the idea that some apps wrongly reported Tegra 3 having NEON support? Do your checks before informing others of something.

I never read any wiki
This was based on experience
And if NEON was there; why would the kernel fail to retrieve and give the correct imagedata to the screen?

Plenty of apps out there use NEON, and guess what? They work well on the Tegra 3. Furthermore, the GNex does not support Screencast. By your logic, the GNex (an OMAP4460) does not support NEON?
By experience? Your experience in this case is hardly reliable. Oh gosh, I calculated g to be equal to -3 metres per second per second using my heartbeat and a feather. All the people over at NASA must be wrong. g is definitely nothing close to 9.8 metres per second per second.
And about NEON implementation: you can't have lousy implementation. You either support it or you don't. End of story.
Where did heartbeats n` feathers enter this discussion?
The OP wanted to know if and why about screen recording. And i answered based on my experience with tegra 2.
You CAN do screen records on this phone. But that ends up sending the fps down to 6-8.
Until someone makes somethimg really different; screencasts wont work

This is Tegra 3, not Tegra 2. There is no such thing as partial/crappy NEON support. Your experience is totally unreliable. NEON works on this phone. So do many NEON apps. GNex has NEON and doesn't support Screencast, that doesn't mean it does not have NEON/has ****ty NEON.
You, sir, should do your research before posting. Is it that hard to understand what I just posted?

Hey friends, I'm sorry to put you in a quarrel with a simple question.
I want to thank you all, for teaching me many things that I didn't know.
What I understand from your discussion is like this:
1. Tegra3 supports NEON instructions, Tegra2 does not.
2. Screencast uses NEON instructions to get a raw copy of the data that goes to the screen.
3. Although Tegra3 supports NEON instructions, Screencast lists Tegra3 devices as UNSUPPORTED. (who knows why?)
4. LG firmware sends a picture of the LG Logo when screen data is requested using NEON instructions.
Have I understood it correctly?

1. I never read anything from google, wikipedia or nVidia before posting on this thread
2. I am never going to do so
3. As far as i know you may work at nvidias factory or something
4. Your facts sounds correct, my may not. Depends on the reader
5. The NEON chizz was something i read in the sept-oct period last year, when i tried SC myself.
6. I dont have time for this

And if NEON was there; why would the kernel fail to retrieve and give the correct imagedata to the screen?
I tell you; that if NEON is there, and it might aswell be, then nVidia made it so bad that i would say you can hyperthread a old amd phenom cpu better
No offence amd users

No offense but tegra may have some problem or screencast may have some compatibility issues. It can both too. But believe me, tegra 3 have NEON, surely.

Iil make something clear:

LOL, XDA censors s h i t t y, it's not a swear word.
And no I don't work at nVidia, in fact I'd agree any day their Tegra 3 chip is horribly inefficient, lacking in terms of GPU, and just not up to the mark for a quad core. ScreenCast may just not support Tegra architecture, maybe it reads instructions a little differently. I find it funny how you continue to blatantly ignore the fact of Galaxy Nexus not supporting ScreenCast, saying that devices which don't support ScreenCast don't support NEON, when the Galaxy Nexus clearly supports NEON. Furthermore, Tegra 3 DOES support NEON apps such as some video players and music players, showing it does support NEON. You choosing to ignore such evidence and instead basing your claim solely off it not supporting ScreenCast is narrow minded at best. Call me a geek for actually bothering to do some rudimentary checks on whether the Tegra 3 supports NEON, but it appears you are just a rigid and ignorant moron shutting your eyes and ears and screaming "NOT TRUE" because you can't accept you're wrong. I'm the one wasting time here. To quote: Arguing with an idiot is like playing chess with a pigeon. No matter how much you are winning, it will knock over the pieces, crap on the board, and strut around like it's won.

Please stop the quarrel.
I dont wany to quote your post, since its huge.
And this will be my last post in this thread. As request to stop this discussion and since you IGNORED the fact that i wrote in my previous post; that i may be wrong and you may be right
I choose to ignore the GN talk cuz i've never cared about the nexus'es. The only one i have cared a bit about is the N4; as the only current 4.1.2 port is from that.
I will never visit this thread again cuz i cant stop laughing about how angry you seem to be(or i may stop by to read the ANGRY response to this because i know it will come, fully supported by some whitesheets)

Redownload the data on laptop (or what ever you use) move it to certain folder on sd e.g. "new folder" once Thats done find the folder with your file explorer, hold down the file and should give you option to move, then move it to the desired location usually sdcard/Android/data or /obb

Dark Knight Rises isn't compatible with the S5830 device, he need an ARMv7 proessor that Ace doesn't have.
It depend to the hardware not the software

I've played lots of games in my S5830, but you need sometimes look for a modded version or a port from ARMv7 to ARMv6, you can search it in S5830 Themes and Apps thread, the games posted there are FREE, never ask here for warez! ok?

Galaxy Ace 2 is a recent device it has a long life
...and about warez I gave you, to you and to pete an extra advice, because Pete solved his Dark Knight Rises's problem (It require an ARMv7 processor that GTS5830 doesn't have) that was all, not that you was discussing about warez
