Finally official GB 2.3.4 - LG Optimus Black

Finally after waiting for months here in india just updated my ob to gingerbread 2.3.4.
I casually opened the lg software updater application and after a scan it told me that there was a new update.
I started the updating process and after about an hour and a half and 238.76 megs of download later, my ob has been updated with the official 2.3.4. Although unlike the german gb my version is v20b.
I have just updated it and immediately came here to post it. But i am finding it quite lag free and also there has been inclusion of the google+ app in the application catalogue.

That's nice, however, this does not belong in Development.

Yeah thats my bad. Sorry. Should have posted it in general.

I just got a notification for a new update, so i downloaded it, but after downloading it tells me that it can't validate the package.
Could this be the gingerbread update, and why can't i install it?

Wrong forum (your question has nothing to do with development).
This forum has a search option. Use that and find the answer to your question.
Anyways: using custom rom? -> no official updates. Doubt that it is gingerbread, though.

Wow some news about miui

I read some threads and walked around the official website of the miui rom.
And I realize they are going to SHARE THEIR SOURCES.
Wish later on miui on our legend

Personally I was a noob on SGS cause I was on HTC too.. If you go on to youtube, theres a guy called 'androidgalaxys' on his videos he shows how to update to 2.3.4 its the official update too and that is very very stable and very fast. The file you download uses odin to flash.. He talks you through it. I hope this helps.

Thanks a lot for your help. Maybe you know what is causing those random reboots and freezes as far as I know people have them on many different firmwares. But if you recommend I'll try it.

Google Now crashing

Does anyone else with a ROM that supports Google Now (Android 4.1+) been running into problems ever since the last update (Dec 13) to the Google Search app?
For me, whenever I try to open the app, it instantly force closes without showing any error messages.
The only thing I've found online is from here: http://code.google.com/p/android/is... 2&colspec=ID Type Status Owner Summary Stars
Take any device built around a Tegra 2 SoC (AP20H or T20, it appears to not matter), install any ROM based on 4.1 or later. Install Google Apps, and update Google Search to the latest, via Play Store. Then try to open a Search, or Google Now.
So far the crash has been reproduced on a Samsung Captivate Glide, a Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1, and an Acer Iconia Tab A100. All were running some version of CyanogenMod, if it matters.

Try partitioning your phone to 512MB. I had the same problem but this solved it. There is a tool in the development sections that lets you do this quite easily.

Have you done any mods to your CM10 install?
Maybe I just need to update to the latest nightly (I'm hesitant because I'm scared of running into the call audio bug).

[Q] What about 4,4 KitKat?!

Is Active got already the kitkat update?
if he got I'll be happy if you tell me how to do it?
THX
The official OTA update for KK was v released 4/16/14 but was very buggy (screen unusable, etc). Since 4/18/14, AT&T pulled the update, and have since said they are working with Samsung in fixing the update and will be releasing the update again soon. As with everything, don't ask for an ETA as no one can even guess when that will be... Hopefully soon though.
