Connect 2 modems - Off-topic

Hello,
I have a problem with internet, so maybe anyone can help with it.
So problem is:
Speedtouch 585v6 modem is used for TV, but internet using that modem is ****y. So i got cisco linksys wag54g2 modem, but on it aren't IpTV oportunities, so i need to connect bouth modems, but they must work independently.
Then i connect internet cable to linksys, internet works fine and fast, but then i connect speedtouch from linksys modem with dsl cable, works only TV and the internet is gone.
So anyone knows how to connect them and make them work independently?
Waiting for Your sugestions how to
Sincerely,
KasKalC

Dude, calm down, we aren't technical support. People come here and help other out of they want, and no one is forced to answer your questions, especially since you joined just to ask that question.
It also has to do with the fact that you don't have a lot of technical knowledge. What you are referring to are ROUTERS not MODEMS. There probably is a problem with the IPs on the routers. First of wall, who is your ISP? Then go to the Linksys Settings page and have the IP of the Linksys router something like 192.168.1.1, and then change the IP of the second one change ot to 192.168.2.1, and if your modem also acts as a router (might be only wireless) go to it's settings page and have the IP something like 192.168.0.1
I can tell you more if you tell me what modem you have and who your ISP is.

Are you sure the wag54g2 doesn't work with your TV?
Pretty sure that's the same router my dad has and it works with his TV.

Why must you lithuanians use a Greek based language when you were part of Poland before. lol.
Let me know if the internet is DSL (phone cable plugged into the modem).
It probably is, so you wont need to change anything on the modem. To get into the router setting, connect one of them to a computer, go to start>search>cmd type in ipconfig and enter, then look for the default gateway (I think, it should be something like 192.168.#.#) Write that number down. Now do the same for the second router. If they match, type the number into your browser adress bar with only one router connected, and in the first page you see, change the IP to something else (usually you can just change either the last or second to last number.)

How to use your phone to tether via Wifi (not data)

I don't think this topic have ever been mention.
I know how to tether using data from the phone, I want to tether using Wifi from the Wing. Using the phone as a wireless adapter is another way you can put it.
Anyone know how to do this?
If you want to use your phone as a wifi router to give data to your computer from its edge network, look into one of the general forums for it. It's there but it's late and I'm too tired to look it up for you.
If you're looking to use your device as a USB-WIFI adapter for a PC, then also look there... I don't remember if the proof of concept was actually completed or not, but it was there...

no to be flaming you but you dont even know what you are asking "tether to your wing" what are you tethering? or trying to do? use your cellphone as an IP Phone? for applications such as skype, and the other VoIP services? do you mean like in a house network if the router or gateway are too far from the pc you can buy lets say a wifi "extender or booster" and somehow use your wing for this? or internet sharing ??? what specifically?
He "specifically" said that he wants to tether a wifi connection.
Here is the proof of concept thread. I'm not sure if it's gone anywhere from here. http://cleanimport.xda/index.php?threads/367849/

dialcoholic28......The OP can't be any clearer, he said it 3 times. On the title and twice on his first post. Everybody can see it but you. Do everybody a favor and go back to 7th grade, dropping out of school to caress on your parents' cow's nipples is not a good idea. And stop crying and begging Brett Favre to come back, it's only killing your brain cell, that you barely have any.

Absolutely not.
With your PC, they have your IP and MAC address. Then, they should ask to your provider to give them your personal informations.
With your phone, they have your IP, IMEI and phone number... that's way easier to know who you are.
However, using bt to download illegal stuff is... obviously always illegal!
This thread makes me giggle. No one can find me, because I'm not on a plan, so no one knows that the IMEI and number belong to me. Free wi-fi ftw as well.

Not really, it's just what you download.
Yeah wmTorrent is the only one for Windows Mobile.
Can you somehow change the way wm torrent registers itself to trackers? Meaning I want the tracker to think that I'm using uTorrent or BitComet, because some trackers only accept a small number of clients...

Interesting... here in Italy, when you buy a SIM card (either on a plan or not) you have to give all your infos (Passport ID, name, surname, etc)

[Q] HACKING wifi (wep key ) using X8

guys do we have any application that can crack a wep key....!!!
or can someone develope one....!!!
You exaclly can't do this, but there is one program called Penetrate Pro. Download it,and after installing download libraries from the web and try it. Some say that it works, but for me that's not working.

Yes, we do.. And was created by a portuguese (proud to be portuguese xP)
Search for Penetrate on market, and visit this site
http://underdev.org/penetrate
guys thanx for the help...Bt the application you mentioned PENETRATE is not helpful, coz it can only crack wep keys for selective brands of routers, isn't there any app which can break any router's wep key atleast....!!!!
Simply: No!

You can use a combination of several apps: Router Keygen (same as Penetrate but lighter library), HHG5XX or Mac2wepkey (last one can be found in play store) and Last but not least, PulWiFi. (i recommend using a WiFi Radar also, so you know where to move to get better signal).
For Greek users we have one...but only for default password of routers(not personal)
I can't post it,because is a hacking app...
Please get your mind out of it.

"What Kinda Super Tracking Cookies Does XDA Use ?

Every time I visit another website, and then come back to XDA (yes I do close out that window before coming back to XDA), I see an advertisement for that website on XDA ? (or should I say, products advertised on that website)
Well, not every time, but .................
Happens to me too... I see mostly photo lens ads xD

I am pretty sure that will happen on any side you visit...thats how add revenue is so popular
Is there a setting you can adjust under Internet options to minimize this ?
Also, according to "Hotmail," if you close out the previous web-page, that's supposed to prevent this.
There is a way indeed... It's called ad-block and cookies clear on browser exit

OK, I just made a post in the off topic photo thread about the Panasonic Lumix ZR3, and now I'm seeing ads for the ZR3 on XDA!!!!
I've read an entire book on XP pro from cover to cover, owned 6 laptops, understand the in's and out's of converting and burning video's/CD's.
But would somebody please explain to me what's going on here ? And/or refer me to some appropriate tutorials.

Ah ha, the tip of the iceberg.............
Yup, XDA hasn't invented some awesome method, it's just the standard ad technology from the provider (doubleclick or dart iirc)
There's an opt-out on the ad network's site, to disable the tracking.
Is it a perk of being a recognised dev that I never see ads? I recently saw the site when I wasn't logged in and was like whaaaaaa?

I need to know which adverts it is you're seeing that are using this...
If you hover over them, try and get the domain name of it. If it's a google/doubleclick one, head to http://www.google.co.uk/privacy/ads/ for information about this. That's the google UK link, but there will be a suitable one for your region too (and I think it's a generic thing anyway)
Arent they called ad sense or something like that?

Does anyone know whether three's HTC one being 'ultrafast' ready means it will be able to access three's up and coming 4g network, or does it refer to the existing hsdpa network only? Cheers for any help, bit confused.
