Please i need help D: i cant modify any xml in framework file... corect mrs.dumbie pls in my steps:
1) decompile framework-res.apk with dependence twframework-res.apk
2) modify interested files (for me
they are: bools.xml, zzz_glass_lock_effect.xml.
3) compile apk. then in keep folder remove "resources.arsc" and zzz_glass_lock_effect.xml
4) push it to my galaxy s and reboot.
after all that nothing gets changed... any help? pls im on jvt using apkmanager lastest ver... pls help because im dumb :L

Just set a proper permissions....
and thats all????? so simple?? omg... for me it was SO hard to learn how to decompile apk and modify it corectly... i searched for mistakes everywhere and not in permissions... omg feeling more dumb xD thanks for help ;

nope, i changed permissions and everything was there as it should. the main thing is my fw little bit messed up, by acident.... i cn try reflash my rom and do it again,but if u have any ideas pls help then

Use dsixda kitchen. Xultimate sucks at deodexing.

I used deodex file, and the script-updater is inside it !
can it works by this, or I need to add it by my self ?

Ur .zip file must contain META-INF folder with updater-script inside. Deodexed system/app & /framework folders & xbin folder with su & busybox files. U wil even need to add superuser .apk in /app if u wnt su.

U wil find boot.img in kernel. Extract it. Even bmlunlock file .

I've fineshed deodex apps and frameworks, then is it possible to replace manually?
because I replaced TW by deodex one and it's work ^_^
so can I get deodex rom by replacing files?

If u try to manually replace system files like systemui, ur fone wil go in endless bootloops. Its safer to flash making a flashable .zip
If ur having trouble making a .zip file den i can help u.

Lol.... No. I need the build.prop file which is there in system folder. Use root explorer to copy it on sd card.

Download Deodex Files.rar from attachment. Extract it. Make a folder named system. Add ur deodexed /app & /framework folder inside. Copy xbin folder & build.prop file from d extracted file & paste in system(Pic 2). Copy meta-inf folder outside system.(Pic no 1)
Use winrar to .zip it & flash.

One of them looks like it's deodexed, didn't actually looked inside the zip so it might not be- (In KU5900 repack deodexing broke keyboard) which one did you try?
Just can pull it from the bin file if you want the keyboard from official.
Odexed version. But my installed rom is not odexed I think. There isn't any odex file in the app folder.
Use my upload is original from v30B with odex file.
I can't make my phone recognize any of the apk's.

There is no other application under system/app with odex file. Can this be problem?

I didnt understand you but odex files are part of the apk they belong to in system apps . When u deoxed a rom all its odex files are merged in their apk's but some apps crash if u deoxed them .like the lgime in v30b . Deoxeding has upside that u get more performance and control over the apps to remove them safely but it also has a downside . It somehow drains the battery

Short answer: yes
Long answer: you can extract smali classes from .odex files too but better don't mess with odexed apps, apktool do it automatically for .apk files but it wont work for odexed apps becouse all the classes are in .odex file outside the apk, the deodexed apk contains all the classes in a .dex file inside the apk and that is what apktool is looking for

Hey guys!
I recently rooted my Samsung Galaxy Note GT-N7000, and figured out it would be cool to change the theme.
I was going to make a S4 statusbar, so I changed the SystemUI, and deleted the .ODEX or something..
Something got fu... up, and now I am sitting here with no statusbar, when someone calls it doesn't show(just vibrates), my wallpaper is black aswell, and can't be changed.
Anyone knows how to fix this?
I don't have my original SystemUI..
Restore your nandroid backup if you have one or ask someone to upload their systemui.apk and .odex file and push them to your system/apps

You have got a deodexed rom now it matter if you change the permissions or not.. Anyone out there using any rom such as rocket, ultimate, etc please share the systemui.apk from your system/apps..! Or frugis do it yourself by unzipping the rom zip you have flashed to get jb rom and simply copy system/apps/systemui.apk to your phone
