Ace does not go into deep sleep after loading - Galaxy Ace S5830 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

My Galaxy Ace does not go into deep sleep after loading. It only goes into deep sleep after restart.
The battery drains too fast with this issue.
I use Jusada´s ICS Final and the zImage-Kernel of an0nym0us_.

Are you using LagFree script? First try to add this lines to bulid.prop:
Code:
ro.ril.disable.power.collapse=1
pm.sleep_mode=1
ro.ril.enable.sbm.feature=1
And check if you have an app that locks deep sleep - some apps do that, mostly background running services for example Airdroid, Wifiadb.

Are you really sure? I have found this tweak here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1367082&highlight=build+prop and use 1 for collapse a long time. I don't really know how it works, but when I had used the LagFree v3 script that have set collapse to 0 my battery drains faster then with 1 value.

At the end of the lines or u can make it as a init.d script
#!/system/bin/sh
setprop pm.sleep.mode=1
setprop ro.ril.disable.power.collapse=0
Set permission to full 777 then reboot...
But i prefer to just edit the build.prop manually

pyronia I understand what you will say my - but for me setting it to 0 drains battery faster then setting it to 1.

great man! will also try your battery script from the post of easy script making that you have posted on development

Pyronia is wrong .
We are disabling the power collapse because we don't want the power saving to collapse -.-
Common sense .
Herpderp Defy.

Thanks!
This tweak seems to work and the ace goes into deep sleep after loading.

which one? the one with 1 or 0? please let us know which is working and which is not

You can use PropModder to prove my theory .
Go ahead , first add pm.sleep_mode=1
Then go to PropModder and select disable power collapse , and see whether the entry is 0 or 1 .
I don't wanna argue with you over this.....

The tweak seems to have stopped working. After loading the ace will not go into deep sleep. I tried it with disablepowercollapse = 1 and = 0 without success.
I can exclude, that it is caused by an app, because I load the ace directly after reboot and disconnect it to see if it goes into deep sleep in discharing mode.
@dragonnn
Yes, I´m using LagFree v3 Script

Install better battery stats, it will show you wakelocks, even kernel wakelocks.

okay, i will try it out and post the results in a few minutes.

It doesn´t show me an entry, when I load the ace, disconnect ace, wait a few secons in screen off and start better battery stats and choose partial wakelocks and since unplugged.

You need to leave the phone on like a day, then you run it and see what it shows.

[MOD] Various Tweaks for your Galaxy S2G

Hey guys,
I would like to start to develop for this phone even without a phone (but I hope this fact is changing soon ^^ I saved 200euro by myselfe to buy a phone maybe you can help me with the rest ).
Doesn´t matter here´s a flashable zip (untested because of the no device point) that should work and includes the following tweaks. Download it and flash it through CWM. I played abit with your device´s files Detailed explanation of what is included below. Of course other Devs can use this in their Roms without asking.
Please report Bugs if you´ve found any!
GPS Boost (Credits to Crescendo Xenomorph for your brilliant idea, I played a bit with the values that are in the file you found):
To come to a better GPS and faster capture of location I edited /system/etc/sirfgps.conf
PROJECT=SAMSUNG_T1
UART_DRIVER=/dev/ttyO0
RESET_GPIO=/sys/devices/virtual/sec/gps/GPS_nRST/value
ONOFF_GPIO=/sys/devices/virtual/sec/gps/GPS_PWR_EN/value
EXTERNAL_LNA=1
REF_CLOCK_26MHZ=1
UART_BAUD_RATE=2
FREQUENCY_AIDING=0
SENSOR_AIDING=0
SET_ID_IMSI=1
DEBUGGING_FILES=0
SSL_ENABLED=1
CERTI_VERSION=0
CP_RESPONSETIME=2
CONTROL_PLANE=1
ATT_NETWORK_OPERATOR=0
EMC_ENABLE=0
Click to expand...
Click to collapse
If you change EMC_ENABLE, SENSOR_AIDING and FREQUENCY_AIDING to 1 there will be a big improvement but also more battery consume when you use GPS. (Of course already done in the .zip).
Faster Boot:
To enable a faster boot I edited the script /system/etc/init.goldfish.sh
[...]
# disable boot animation for a faster boot sequence when needed
boot_anim=`getprop ro.kernel.android.bootanim`
case "$boot_anim" in
0) setprop debug.sf.nobootanimation 1
;;
esac
[...]
Click to expand...
Click to collapse
You have to make sure that setprop debug.sf.nobootanimation 1 will be done in every case, you will now boot very faster. (Also done in the .zip).
Higher IdleTimeout (Bluetooth):
It´s not really a Tweak I just increst the IdleTimeout time because I always use it at this level, it seems more logical to me. Edited in /system/etc/bluetooth/input.conf
# Configuration file for the input service
# This section contains options which are not specific to any
# particular interface
[General]
# Set idle timeout (in minutes) before the connection will
# be disconnect (defaults to 0 for no timeout)
#IdleTimeout=30
Click to expand...
Click to collapse
Longer DiscoverableTimeout (Bluetooth):
When I want to transfer files via bluetooth I always anger about the low time the phone is by default in a discoveryable mode (so that your device can be seen by other devices). So I also cahnged this from 180 to 300
[...]
# How long to stay in discoverable mode before going back to non-discoverable
# The value is in seconds. Default is 180, i.e. 3 minutes.
# 0 = disable timer, i.e. stay discoverable forever
DiscoverableTimeout = 300
[...]
Click to expand...
Click to collapse
You can find the lines in /system/etc/bluetooth/main.conf
Set PairableTimeout (Bluetooth):
Samsung invented the DiscoverableTimeout but doesn´t use the pairablemodeTimeout to save battery! Why?
[...]
# How long to stay in pairable mode before going back to non-discoverable
# The value is in seconds. Default is 0.
# 0 = disable timer, i.e. stay pairable forever
PairableTimeout = 0
[..]
Click to expand...
Click to collapse
So I set a PairableTimeout at 1000 by default. You can find the lines in /system/etc/bluetooth/main.conf
If you have any problem feel free to post your question below. I will add some other tweaks when I found some new If you like my work, please thank, may consieder a donation and line my facebook page. Thanks! Happy flashing

[TWEAKS] Script for Speed/Battery/IO Scheduler and Governor changer

Hi everybody!
I've compiled a script with a few tweaks based on knzo post
This works on CM7, should work on stock also!
I've also added to the script a few lines to change the IO Scheduler and governor. You just have to edit the attachment (unzip it first ) and remove the "#" before the line you want to apply (I've just add the lines depending if you have CM7's stock kernel or huexxx kernel, but you can edit for any kernel, you just have to edit for the governor/io schedulers available or just leave that lines commented).
# change Governor
# Huexxx's kernel
# echo interactivex > /sys/devices/system/cpu/cpu0/cpufreq/scaling_governor;
# change IO Scheduler
# CM7's kernel
# echo "noop" > /sys/block/mmcblk0/queue/scheduler;
# Huexxx's kernel
# echo "sio" > /sys/block/mmcblk0/queue/scheduler;
.....
After this, do this steps:
1 - Install SManager
2 - Open SManager and go to the script, I put it in /data/script
3 - Single click the script "74diogo" and check "Su" and "Boot" and then save.
4 - Just reboot.
Note: It could take a minute or two to change the governor in Cyanogenmod settings.
That is it!
Feel free to leave to give your feedback
By the way... When I changed the default governor via CM settings and applied at boot, the phone becomes very slow in the first minute after boot...
Changing the governor with this script, that slow performance disappears
Also, you can activate JIT, use 16 bit transparency and disable scrolling cache (force disable) for a little speed and smooth...
I get a lot of not found errors is that normal? And also a lot of permission denied.

Yeah. You should choose the option "boot" and "su" and reboot. The settings will apply.
You can't change some values while the system is running... that is why there are those errors.
Thank you for your help. I get it now. But can we use a other scripts like v6supercharger and should we expect any improvements from them if we already have this script?

Yeah, it is possible. v6supercharger could change some values that this script change. Try both
I guess both at the same time won't work right?

It should work. I don't see why not
Did you notice any difference using my script?
I did actually, Cm7 was already pretty smooth but at boot up after the script manager gets root permission it loads a lot faster than before, by this I mean that the starting lag lasts a lot less. As for general use it works great but it also worked great before so I can't really tell. I noticed an improved battery performance too.
So all in all it's great

You can push that values in a file an add them to init.d folder and by this way removing the use of script manager. My two cents.

xLoud & Bravia Engine by XxXPachaXxX
Search in google for this zip " XxXPachaXxX_Sony_ICS_pack.zip " and extract this zip on your micro sd-card. Then start a root file manager and open/edit your build.prop in the system folder with a text editor and add these lines for xLoud & Bravia Engine:
Code:
#Xloud Engine Service
nro.semc.sound_effects_enabled=true
nro.semc.xloud.supported=true
npersist.service.xloud.enable=1
#
#Bravia Engine Service
ro.service.swiqi.supported=true
persist.service.swiqi.enable=1
" build.prop before leaving store " and delete the build.prop.bak. The permission for the build.prop is r-w-r-r . Then copy and paste all files in the specified folder. Permissions must be set manually!
The folder playcert in the XxXPachaXxX_Sony_ICS_pack.zip is unimportant for the xLoud & Bravia Engine Hack.
Once these steps are completed perform a reboot and it should work . Should questions arise, I will help very much further and I hope I could help with this mod.
I send all my credits for this mod to " XxXPachaXxX " !

"Meltus" is one of the Android hackers from WAY back when the HTC Dream was still the brand-new iPhone killer who came up with the original volume hacks.

Saw volume+ however it says for GB only and not stock firmware.
Has anyone tried the app? noticed any gain?
Thanks!

Hi, yes I can send the installation instructions but today it is nothing more, tomorrow (sometime) ... I post only the install instruction for the xLoud & Bravia Engine without the batchscript for init.d support. I send Faria the batchscript and he will included the init.d files in his next rom update.
Greeting
Edit: I post in the next 2 hours the instruction with files (zip).
Edit 2:
" Install Instruction "
Sorry I can not posting outside links in their messages ... For screenshots in permissions please send me a PM and when I have more 10 posts then I can posting outside links. Thanks for your understanding!
xLoud & Bravia Engine by XxXPachaXxX
Search in google for this zip " XxXPachaXxX_Sony_ICS_pack.zip " and extract this zip on your micro sd-card. Then start a root file manager and open/edit your build.prop in the system folder with a text editor and add these lines for xLoud & Bravia Engine:
Code:
#Xloud Engine Service
nro.semc.sound_effects_enabled=true
nro.semc.xloud.supported=true
npersist.service.xloud.enable=1
#
#Bravia Engine Service
ro.service.swiqi.supported=true
persist.service.swiqi.enable=1
Optional - more build.prop tweaks - incrase performance, scroll speed and more. Open/edit your build.prop in the system folder with a text editor and add these lines:

Hi,
I lives in france and so i have a volume limit inbuilt on my S3 mini GT-I8190 due to the european law.
I found a tuto for the S3 (at mobilenewspedia) and try to apply it to the S3 mini but i didn't found the default_gain.conf file.
Is your mod a way to disable the european limit ?
Thanks

[TWEAKS] Save your battery without any app!

Hi guys!
I've been trying different kernel and roms at this time, I've been surprised with several of them greatly, but I've always liked my way of setting the cpu frequencies, governor, further reduce the brightness ... etc all WITHOUT USING ANY EXTERNAL APP that consume my internal memory and are constantly running in the background.
Well if you are one of those who leave permanently on your cpu frequency and like to save as much of your battery it will be very useful.
When I tested the Battery Extender 1.5.1 kernel I noticed that every time I restarted my device, the maximum clock frequency was changed to 902 Mhz and I needed tools to control this frequency (as no-frills or set-cpu)... Right, this is the end with the following tweaks, so forget No-Frills and Set-cpu!:
These changes will be adjusted every time you boot the system
Viper The Ripper Tweaks to save battery
What I have changed?
Power off menu and back buttons
Reduced the brightness to maximum
Changed the frequency when the device starts to 245-787 Mhz
Changed the Governor when the device starts to Conservative (I prefer this Governor to save battery)
Working on: CF-Root, BatteryExtender, SpaceKernel, nims11 kernel
Extreme Version
Power off menu and back buttons
Reduced the brightness to maximum
Changed the frequency when the device starts to 245-614 Mhz
Changed the Governor when the device starts to Conservative (I prefer this Governor to save battery)
Working on: BatteryExtender 1.5.1 and up, it should works in SpaceKernel too
CM Versions
Power off menu and back buttons
How to install it?
1. Put the attached file into your sdcard
2. Reboot into recovery
3. Install from sdcard
4. Flash it
5. Reboot
6. Enjoy
Hellyeah!

I'm sure, in my opinion using no-frills or similar apps (sertCpu), you increase the RAM usage with background processes, so your battery will drain faster, anyway you don't need any app to set your cpu frequencies
Updated!
Extreme Versions are here!
Working on: BE 1.5.1 and up, it should works in SpaceKernel too
Updated!
POWER OFF BUTONS in CM7/9/10.x.... it's PERMANENT!
Tested in CM7.2 (The Ultimatum Rom and Revolution X) it should work in CM9/10.x too

Yes, but now it's a bit late. Tomorrow I'll try to provide you a flashable tweak
But currently you can use the Terminal Emulator to get it just type this lines:
Code:
su
echo 0 > /sys/class/leds/button-backlight/brightness
chmod 444 /sys/class/leds/button-backlight/brightne
When you reboot your device the button will power on again so type it after rebooting your phone, but I'll provide you a permanent solution asap

I Glad it will work ..It should work but, even I asked to Mardon, the SuperSu can block su request during boot, so it could be the problem, use cmsuperuser variant if you face any problem
Mardon's answer:
Which variant? Supersu or cm superuser?
SuperSu now can block su requests during boot init if wrong configured in supersu.

No problem, I installed Universal Init.d from the PlayStore. Then closed phone and retried the zip and it worked. I don't know if its has anything to do with that but its working you can add it to the first page! =)

Tweaks for data
Some editing in build.prop and you just have to on the aeroplane mode and back to normal mode n you get data ( you have to do it just once, not 3 to 4 times)
Steps :
1. Root the cm12 rom
2. Install any root Explorer or build.prop editor
3. Copy the following in build.prop (don't delete the things that are in it by default)
4. Save and exit
5. Reboot
