[Q] buying a new battery from ebay - Motorola Droid and Milestone Q&A, Help & Troublesh

Hello,
recently my battery is running out very quickly (my milestone is about year a half, maybe two, and overclocked - so battery is pretty poor...
I saw this battery on ebay
"GOLD-2430MAH-BP6X-BATTERY-MOTOROLA-MILESTONE"
(cant post outside links yes)
any thoughts? somebody maybe came across it?
thanks

Don't bother buying it... its false advertising... its not 2430mah... but its barely 1450mah
And reviews as well are bad
Sent from my Nexus S using XDA App

Can anybody advise on a good battery and from where to buy it?
Sent from my Milestone using xda premium

if u dont mind double the thickness 3500mAh is the way to go. black&white logos+ writing. plus expanded back cover

the max amp of the battery is 1450mah

can anyone please advise on a recommended battery and from where it's possible to buy? ebay/amazon would be advised for shipping reasons

2430mah is its false advertising......
I bought in China brand batteries,1350mAH

Dont look for extended batteries on Ebay they are usually false.
There is 3300mAh Mugen for Milestone, they specialise on extended batteries and have positive reviews.
You can check it here
http://www.mugen-power-batteries.co...-milestone-with-battery-in-black-3300mah.html
Mugen ships worldwide

Few things:
First of all, I've purchased extended batteries for my OG Droid from a seller called 'edeal8' from ebay. It is generic, and lacks a temperature sensor, but it IS actually an extended battery.
That being said, if you are worried about the batteries not working, or exploding, or whatever, you can pick them up for almost nothing on Amazon.com.
I think I paid ~ $2USD for an OEM Motorola battery from them.

Thanks.
i have it . works 1d9h and orginal bat works 26h not so better i expeckt better dan dit
I was looking around and saw those too. It would seem that the Mugen Power batteries still provide better life generally.

I only know 1800mAh battery but this one is legit.
looking for a new battery for my Legend, any suggestions?
What is the best moneyworthy alternative out there, i lost the old one, so i just need a fairly good battery, and hopefully not less good than original, but better value for the money wouldnt be bad.
I suggest mugen
I uses this battery for about 4 weeks and it works great within this time but after round about 6 weeks the battery lifetime reduces to a minimum and at the end i only was able to use my legend for about 6 hours with about 70% of standby-time. I dont know if it was a manufactoring error or this battery is just crap? Meanwhile im using the original battery again...

Is the Legend's battery the same of HTC HD2 battery? Which other HTC phones shares the same battery model of Legend?
Thanks.

Definitely the Wildfire. My friend had a Wildfire imported to Canada (stupid idea) and the battery I ordered works interchangeably between the two. Though he wasn't scared of the risks because it had printed Wildfire/Legend on the back of the battery. I'd imagine the HTC battery is at the very least similar.

Wildfire is compatible but HD2 have a different format and a different kind of connector - 100% incompatible.

I have one Gold battery and it work ok, is a good value to the money.
The battery I buy in webstore Pixinf can work more that 2 days and the original one only work less than one day.
Be carefull, I think some gold batteries are made on china (not in japan) and are copy ones (fake).

Motorola BF6X Extended Battery

Does anyone have experience with the Motorola BF6X battery? Is it a legitimate OEM battery?
I purchased one from the following eBay user, but I've seen it around on other places. I will let you guys know how it is once I've got it, but I'd like feedback from others ...

I've had great luck with mine so far (1 week). Ordered 2 batteries with an in-wall charger for around 10-15 bucks. Can't beat it.

Those batteries aren't the same at all ... They are cheap knockoffs with probably half the rated capacity.
I bought mine at a verizon store. After I updated to 5.6.890 I monitored batt life. Had 40% @29th hour from the first full charge (had 70% when I bought it). Wrote it down, but can't find the stat. I was trying for 48hr. Fell short by 4 or 6 hrs.? Played XGalaxy2, Txt, Email, Tweaking, little broswering. lol . I'm using a live wallpaper now so thats using energy. ps. debloated.

I agree. Get the one from Verizon. You need the new battery door. I'm using one since I received the phone, still don't get anywhere near the rated phone specifications of 300 hours standby/550minutes usage. However, the battery does make a difference for me.
The inductive charger is also a nice accessory and works with the extended battery.

I just ordered a genuine Motorola 1930mAh battery; I've heard too many bad things about the generics and knock-offs to buy one of those. I would avoid them.
Can you buy genuine Motorola batteries for D3 that are bigger than 1930mAh (I mean bigger power-wise, not physically)?

You can fit the battery in under the stock cover
but if you live in a hot area there wont be room for the battery to expand and that could cause problems

A battery of that size and capacity won't expand than the thickness of a sheet of paper. If it expands noticablly, you'd be facing a serious risk of explodsion whether if you're using the extended back or not.

While I'm on the subject, I wonder why HTC didn't just share batteries with the Sensation and Evo 3d????

I just did some searches on eBay for HTC Raider battery and found a bunch for sale. The model number of the battery is the same as the Vivid (I pulled out my battery and checked), so it should work fine. Pretty cheap too, they had some for like $15.98 for 3 batteries + wall charger.
I just ordered some batteries on amazon and it includes the charger. I would give you guys the link but im too new to submit links lol. Search this "Hyperion AT&T HTC Vivid 4G 2 x Battery + Charger" and you sohuld be able to find it!

The point is that you get the most battery while still being able to use the stock battery cover and normal cases for the device.

OMG that capacity is awesome and the price?! Sounds way to good to be true, what could happen in worst case, I mean when u say: original or genuine or safe ?
even im not sure wt if it screws up our phone
My stock battery was getting ridiculous, if I get up at 7am and unplug the phone off the charger, the battery will be pretty much dead by 2pm (<20%).
So last week I picked up HLI-S710EXL from Mugen Power. (You need to go search it on their webiste, I can't post link due to newbie status)
I was hesitant at first because the phone could become bulky due to the extra thickness, but now I'm actually holding the phone better as the extra thickness sits right in the centre of my palm, creating a more natural grip.
Battery life is extended significantly, by the time I go to bed around midnight, usually there is still 35% left in the tank.
I know the price is a bit steep, but I think it's well worth the money, especially if you are not about to purchase a new phone in the near future. I'd totally recommend it.
i found battery 2450 in stock size on aliexpress.

If you want to buy some cheap but high quality HTC batteries online, I think you need to try the Everbuying.com.
Truth about batteries is, the manufacturer has already installed the highest capacity battery possible for the physical dimensions of the battery. I've purchased them gold batteries and many other( higher capacity rated for the same physical size) batteries and they seem to be a tad better than original battery for a few weeks but then quickly diminish in capacity to a point way below your stock battery. If you want more mAH from a battery to fit into inc s you must look into extended batteries where the physical size of the battery has been increased. A word of warning too with all these cheap batteries is that most if not all of them have no inbuilt thermal protection circuitry and therefore the posibility exists of thermal runaway caused by batteries being charged when they are too hot to be charged- eg hot summers day in a car...

No.
There are a dozen companies that swear "4 billion mah!!!" in the same size, however it's not possible. If you want more mAh you'll have to get a larger battery or just use a battery pack (external).

Not by much though. The mugen power 3200mah battery is probably the best standard size battery available. It is not cheap though.
Alternatively I have found the much cheaper Anker batteries to perform slightly better than stock, even if they are the same capacity. Check on Amazon.
