Did i must do this before flashing rom??? http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=18244911???

I think so but it really depends on what you have now and what you want to get next.
Browse the forum, read the threads carefully and you will learn a lot.
Don't expect to get instant knowledge, there is no such thing as adding water, stir and learn everything. You have to read and that should be easy for you, all this info is in your own native language .
Go for it!

error...sorry

A nOObie question...request you to please answer....

Heyy... Just got one question guyz... I am from India and all these official ROMs are for UK/Europe or HK....I just wanted to know whether flashing any of these ROMS (i would be flashing the english version) can bring any harm to my HD as I am confused as to whether each radio/ rom upgrade caters to different geographic parts or what? Plz answer my query. Thx in advance
well i have been flashing different ROMs and upgraded various radio versions no problems faced so far
A ROM Update is independent from your current geographical location, but it could harm your phone. It is just an software update like to update your Windows.
But the Radio-ROM is region-specific, so you have to try which works the best for you or simply just stick to your current one.

As long as you have either USPL or HSPL on your device you can flash any HD rom. Think of the latest roms as upgrades from stock roms. These are not country or region specific and will work on all HD's.
Only thing you have to look out for is the radio. Some roms come with radio's built in, for example Duttys latest roms come with radio 1.14 built in. Radio's are country/region specific and signal/reception will be different. Good news is that you can flash any radio you want after you have flashed the rom. All available radio's are in the wiki here. If you read up on radio thread you shoud be able to determine which is best for your country by the responses of people which use it.
Good luck!!

What wm6.5 rom to use on the telstra network.

Good day guys and girls. I am new here. I have a Touch HD on the Telstra network but i am thinking of joining the ranks of WM6.5 and touchflo 2.1. I have read the flashing roms for dummies thread but there where a few things i wanted to ask. I currently use the phone for emails and internet everyday and i am just worried that if i flash a new rom i wont be able to use those features on the NEXT G network or get NEXT G coverage. Secondly is there a certain rom i need to use in order to use the phone on Telstra or will any of the wm6.5 roms work. I am new to this and really hesitant to do anything until i know everything would be good, but also itching to go to wm6.5. Any help from you pro's would be mutch appreciated. Thank you.

I use a Telstra phone and have found there is no problem with any of the ROMs as far as G 3G or any of the services go.
So if i was to use the Dusk rom would i just follow the Dummies guide to flashing 1.56+ roms. Any help is much apreciated.

Yes thats where we all started. You need to go through that guide step by step. You only have to go through that process once and then like the rest of us you can Flash to you hearts content.
Will it better for me to use the uspl method, I dont really understand it all but from reading it, it seems to be the safer method. Any help is aprecciated.

Yeah, USPL is "safer" in the sense you keep your Stock SPL... which basically means if somehow you brick your phone, they won't be able to tell that you've been playing around with it.
Ok so if i decide to go ahead where can i download these from.
(USPL1a) RUU_Signed_Blackstone_stockSPL154.zip
(USPL1b) HSPLWrapper_Blackstone_156OliNex.zip
(USPL1c) USPL GUI v 2.5.zip
(USPL1d) A 1.56+ based rom- Dutty's latest rom linked here
(USPL1e) BlackstoneRUUWrapper.zip
Thank you all very much for your help. I just want to make sure i do this right the first time.
Im sorry i didnt see the downloads in post 1. I just have another question. In the step USPL1D can i use EnergyROM_BLACKSTONE_20090816_StandardM2.5.rar instead of what is labeled in the dummies guide to flashing? Any help is much appreciated.
Answer to your query, yes you can use EnergyROM. Rom listed in guide was just an example.
Your title query has already been answered. All roms should work on Telstra network. Dummies guide thread already exists for guidance and help on flashing. Post all related queries in relevent thread.

[Q] Which official ROM's (RUU) are European?

Hey!
Now I've finally gotten my Incredible S, and so far I'm happeh with it.
But, I like to try new things and Sense 3.0 looks way cooler, better, smarter and everything and I've searched the forums and google for some answers but seems like no one have asked before...
3; (this one has nothing to do with Sense, but I still want to know...) Which official ROM RUU's from the collection thread are the European version? All those numbers and **** makes absolutely no sense at all. On the ones from Asia it says (pretty clear...) "ASIA", but from Europe I can't find anything that says the ROM is from Europe...
And by my first question I mean if it's worth doing the precedure for S-off and flash new radio (seems like that's something you have to do...) and all that.
And before someone rages; YES, I'm a noob. This is my first HTC device, and my old phone didn't have a locked bootloader so everything was so much easier and therefore I had to think less.
Thanks in advance! Hopefully someone can make me a bit smarter.
(EDIT; changed topic name and my first and second question are kinda solved for my case, now I just need to know about those damn RUU's .___.)
Hi guy,
I flashed a sense 3.0 rom (Virtuous Unity) and now i'm really happy with it. I was really anoyed by the lockscreen not so locked when you keep your phone in your pocket.
For the alarm clock i don't know as I don't use it.
Finally for S-Off that was pretty easy using alpharevx.
Hope this help.

Well, I've gotten an answer from a friend and there's two buttons now to press instead of sliding down for turning off the alarm, and press a mini-button to snooze.
About the alpharevx, it is nothing to be worried about?
I was looking forward to a way to S-OFF my phone since I got it.
When the first beta of alpharevx was out i stayed tune and until now i never read about a bricked phone. So i would say it's pretty safe.
The only thing you have to think about is warranty void.
PS: You're welcome for the answer
Well, flashing an official ROM makes the phone S-On again (if I understand everything correctly) so that would not be a problem, I have an SD-card somewhere here if I need to make a goldcard ^^
And you don't happen to know which RUU that I should flash if I want an European ROM?
Wouldn't be so funny for me if I find a ROM without English... :/
As soon as I can find out which ROM that's from Europe and which ROM that's from Austria, I'd be a little bit less nervous about this whole thing...
Anyway, thanks for your help! Seems like using alpharevx is pretty safe, so I think I might do this anyway
Nop, don't know anything about official ROM codification.
Also interested to know if someone can explain.
Hopefully someone might answer to that question!
But, thanks for your help! Now I'm gonna have an internal fight in my mind to see if I'm man enough or not...

WWE = World Wide English. As far as I know that's the edition used for Europe.

And that means that any official ROM with WWE in the name and it doesn't say "Asia", then it is an European?
Sorry for asking such a dumb question, but I just want to make sure
If someone's wondering; I finally got my finger out of my ass and S-Off'd successfully on my 3rd try.
took a couple of tries before I succeed to flash recovery (pretty different procedure from what I'm used to...) but now I'm backing up my current ROM and I'm going to flash virtuousomething like that, wish me luck!
Now, let this thread die in peace. I've gotten my answers (kinda, but good enough for me) so I'm happy.
Thanks all for your answers, and I've never been this nervous in my life...
Which operator
Ok, so we know what WWE means. How do you know what operator and specific country it is for.
I am looking for the original Vodafone UK ROM.

The WWE ROMs are not operator or country specific. As far as I am aware, no network in the UK ever released a branded ROM for this phone as it's only ever been sold by third parties (Carphone Warehouse being the main one) and never directly from the networks themselves.
I use the Virtuous Unity 1.29.0 Sense 3.0 based on Pyramid and i'm satisfied.
Well, good for you...
I just have to ask you though... what, exactly, does that have to do with this topic?

[Q] Change from Asian to EU Version

Hi, I'm new to this forum so excuse me if I'm saying something that has already been mention...I've made a quick search to try and find something very simple but didn't manage to find exactly what I want.
I am also new to Android.
I just got an Incredible S Asian Version and I would really like to change it to EU version. Is there a way to do this. A step-by-step guide is all I need.
Thanks in advance.
