Im gonna stick to the button guided recovery for the time being.. I feel it is more secure as i might touch something by mistake that i shouldn't .. Thanks a lot for it though.. Kudos for the breakthrough by the developers..

I not gonna flash this...unsecure

Thanks dude ..will try it =)

I will obviously not be able to resist from trying this out, though messing up CWM, that is far more serious than messing a rom, anyways, thanks so much.

i tried it....but it would be better if the touch buttons are not overlapping with the text.....
volume button still works )
thanks for the new recovery!

Trying, i made a build and it works as a normal recovery but when you touch the screen all it does is move the selection down like hitting vol down side key. Link to this build for lulz?
I see on http://d-h.st/users/Doadin have v2 and touch i think it work too .
Touch still isnt working... touching the screen just makes it scroll down. Great work though!

Just my little 2 cents here but having the touch screen option isn't that big of a deal to me. I just care that it works as I've been used to CWM the way it is for quite awhile. Don't get me wrong, if you get it to work that's great. If not, oh well. I've flashed this new version but haven't used it as of yet.
At any rate I appreciate that you updated it to the latest version!

Well i think i might have found why its not working. Not 100% sure but im gonna see if i can merge in the code and make a build probably later tonight. I think it i may have found it though. pretty simple fix. We'll see. Ive been trying to work in the other features Jocala made too like romwipe.(Not needed but makes flashing a few less clicks so thats nice lol) Im gonna try and add those in along with a touch build later.
I made a nw version with the stack zips option, not sure if i added it right but it appears to go through the process just i dont actually wana do any flashing right now. The flash image i added but its not working. It doesnt appear to work even just manually flashing using the dd command(which is the methode used in jocalas cwm). So im not sure im even gonna try and add this.
OK so just flash this over the cwm recovery I'm running to update it right. I've got 6012 jocalas last release

[Q] Making 4.1 JB with custom apps rom

Hello,
I recently bought a beautiful Galaxy S advance .As I found there is JB official update for this phone and i have updated my phone via Odin.
It works very smooth and i modded it with stock 4.2 Launcher (couse i hate TOUCH WIZ), CAMERA ICS PLUS with no adds.., ICS MEssaging,ICS Gallerry , ICS Dialer,JB Wallpeper , I am currently working on enabling CRT OFF animation and custom BOOT ..
My nooby question is how can i backup my currently rom for everybody to use it cause i want to make kind of custom rom for everybody..a 4.1 official rom with 4.2 mods and JB clean interface without TOUCH WIZ....Samsung should have let the users choose betwwen stock JB UI and their TouchWiz... .Wainting for a link tutorial to make copy of my exact rom for everybody else to enjoy PURE JB awsomness with modded 4.2 features.. thank you for your time devs and users.. :good:

Wait for custom recovery. There you can backup/restore.
Thank you for the quick response. With custom recovery will I be able to backup and post here the backup for everybody else with Galaxy S Advance to use it ?
I'm no Expert but here's my answer..
As I now know that that the Developers are working on CWM Recovery... just wait for a few days for them to release.. you can then use it to make a nandroid copy of your "modified" ROM...
As of now, Varun is working on a Permanent CWM Recovery.. he has already made it but it has got some bugs in it so he's busy fixing em..
Meanwhile check out this article to learn how to Backup And Restore Nandroid Images Using ClockworkMod Recovery
This is a "Temporary" CWM Recovery (Click Here)... I didn't use it but I heard it has got a lot of bugs in it...
I can see that Shut_Down has already answered you...

It includes your accounts, passwords and confidential data, contacts, app data, text messages etc.

you can make a cwm .zip file with a script that erase /system folder and extract yours, optionally you can flash a kernel in the same script with dd tool, etc.

Great idea, but I think that the whole backup is more noob-proof. We can not predict what a mess could be done, like flashing that zip over a GB rom because that person do not read the thread.

well, thinking that way nothing is idiot-proof, why care too much about people not reading/not understanding what they're reading? by the way, if you make nandroid backup there's some risk (or at least for some roms) that the MAC address will be cloned - not a very good idea.
and there's always a big red disclaimer in OP, so...
btw. to the author: can I have a request/wish? it'd be JB AOSP lockscreen

Yup. This was ported from the One. So expected to not work. But shouldn't be difficult to fix that.
Thanks a lot for what all of you did to getting MIUI on the Xperia Z !
I will be following this thread to give you feedback.
On the other thread, i mentioned my data network didn't work, forget that. I check my access point and it work perfectly now.
But i was really surprised when i wanted to go to my clockworkmod and i saw a "Teamwin mod"-thing... It's not very kind to do some thing we didn't want...
Somebody have a *.zip to get back my old clockworkmod ? Thanks
The MIUI V5 Rom work very well. Unfortunately, there is the SD Card problem who cause a lot of ForceClose. But i'm sure you will get it work.
Keep the good work guys !
PS: Sorry for my bad english speaking, i'm french.

Sorry @alnikki25k for a bit of a thread steal (its OK we're a team). You know this means. Sense 5.0 from the One is possible. Forget our Droid DNA port cause that ruined my phone (Sony are replacing it). I'll talk later on Hangouts in more depth cause I had a Sense 5.0 ROM that booted (stuck on the boot screen just like the original versions of yours and my MIUI builds, However Android being Android, ADB won't work...)

The storage maybe the services.jar problem.
In services.jar.out\smali\com\android\server the all filename start with MountService
I think we need patch some code from yuga
this services mount the usb storage

[Q] Anyone had this problems with CM 9.1.0d ?

I have just installed a new ROM in my Milestone for first time and used CyanogenMod 9.1.0d
Everything looks amazing but I noticed my soft home button doesn't work AT ALL, camera button isn't working either, I cant see the lock screen as other versions, can't open Google Play app and can't synchronize my Google account so I don't have access to my phone contacts
Have someone else happened (and fixed) this problems??

[RECOVERY] TWP 2.8.5.0 for One Mini 2

This a build of TWRP for One mini 2.
Team Win Recovery Project 2.x, or twrp2 for short, is a custom recovery built with ease of use and customization in mind. It’s a fully touch driven user interface – no more volume rocker or power buttons to mash. The GUI is also fully XML driven and completely theme-able. You can change just about every aspect of the look and feel.
You can read more about TWRP on their Homepage

Well done, now we only have to wait for someone to make some ROMs.
I've been looking at the CM website but still no One Mini 2 in supported list.
Sense 6 is the first manufacturer ROM that I want to not replace!

I'm working on CM. There's still a few things to work out before it's ready for use.

thanks i downloaded again and it worked.
when i uninstall system apps they return after reboot do you know anyway to stop this thanks chris
You can not uninstall system apps. First: it make no sense, because after the next update they come back, second: your system partition is read only. Deactivate it and ready!

EDIT: Err, replied to the wrong post. Yes, the backups will restore just fine. The link above is for a stock kernel with write protection disabled.
