Some notes for Droid 4 owners:
According to this thread on XDA the Arctic Rom is flashable on the Droid 4 as well.
Some things to note:
The keyboard's backlight will not light up. (MAYBE fixed in 2.3.3...need a tester)
Flash as your own risk. I am doing my best to get this Rom to work better on 2.3.6 Gingerbread, and I am going to start with bluetooth.
Shady_lanem has given up Razr work and has granted me permission to his Arctic Rom.
If you are going to flash this before the fastboot files are out, do so carefully and in safestrap. (Even then I don't recommend safestrap until we get a Droid 4 version from hashcode).
For rooting use the Droid 4 Utility threads for Mac/Linux and Windows. (by skylarmb)

Note: These are from 2.3.1 and below. I am having a big re-theme of Arctic being done by mopar57 and 3.0.0 will look a lot different, better even!

And a special shoutout to Reigndropz for doing this initial testing and getting it to run on our D4's......

This is a rom I've been tweaking and modifying from stock rom. Yin Yang theme is pretty much my own creation with some chrome icons from sv0911's white chrome theme. Minimal blur applications included with several third party apps that can be uninstalled easily.
Prerequisites
Deodexed AT&T 4.5.91
Working for international version if you install the relevant kernel
Please report to me if you find any errors. If this rom along with the nifty theme satisfied you, do not forget to hit the thanks button. A tip would be splendid as well at your own will.
As usual, install this at your own risk.

Once it boot up after flashing the rom, open the app. Spare Parts. Navigate to 'Compatibility Mode'. Untick it and reboot. This will fix the 480x720 resolution issue on several apps.
Do not sign in your motoblur account as it will force close. I've only retained the blur email which need the blur setup app to function properly. Just skip the setup.

Incoming call from the death It is recommended to flash the rom first. Some people have reported they are losing services from att and settings, mainly those with stock rom from installing my themes.
Edit: I'm rolling out an update on the rom later. It appears to have force close on blur emails. I might just removed it and replace it with 3rd party email clients

As there are very few problems with this ROM,Please search through the thread before asking or posting questions that have probably already been answered...
Where I am flattered that people want to "use" things from this rom....Just be courteous enough to ASK to use first before just taking,we already lost a good source and great developer because of this...Thank you
Pirateghost and I have been working on these....couple different versions for different tastes....Another beta coming at you, this one is just stock tweaked everything...no ciq anywhere in the rom....Have to clean up the xml....boot img is included for you to flash first then load rom....If does not boot...use this kernel...also is cleaned of ciq. I use this one personally...Ive not warmed up to the 3.5ui yet....

Mirror Link Make sure to thank N2itiv for the extra hosting
WIPE EVERYTHING ON THIS UPDATE

2. Scroll down to mounts and storage (if you have not copied rom to storage follow steps 3-6)
3. Scroll down to mount USB storage
4. Plug in phone storage should pop up
5. Copy and paste holiday_release.zip to storage
6. Once copied to storage unmount storage
7.Go Back to main menu of recovery

Oh, also the app News is FCing (process com.htc.googlereader)
also the HTC Wifi Hotspot still asks for AT&T tether plan, my guess is they put a modded at&t version in the stock ROM. It may need to be swapped out with a HTC Raider Wifi Hotspot to work (this is my guess)

Good look. DLing now.
GPS?

How about the camera lag that's been reported in other ics roms?
Okay, it seems installing was fine, but once I tried rebooting it won't boot back up, something is not configuring right. Im taking down the download link till it is fixed, sorry for those who have downloaded and tried it already. Will post another link shortly.
As for the camera lag, I am not sure. I haven't notice it but I haven't used my camera much recently.
And for GPS, no GPS yet. I believe there is a kernel out there that has it working, but this is all stock just put into one file.
Ok, ROM is functioning properly now and is even better with the newest kernel, also added a few more apps.
DLing now...excited!

Full wipe and flash again
1+ the bootloop, gave it 30+ mins to boot to setup but never did. I also tried to reflash, but i got the bootloop again. I had wiped and formatted prior to flashing as well.
Getting a device not compatible with this item error on a few apps that worked on other Ics roms like Facebook, Google+, and Google music etc
flashed
I wiped data/system and cache and reflashed and it booted ok.
Seems sluggish though and my system rom space on Titanium shows full.

ROM is amazingly fast! Only thing is flash player won't download market says incompatible with this device.
Sent from my SGH-T959 using XDA App
For those stuck in a boot loop, please download again. The first upload had a bug and the new download is corrected and works.
This is a stock from and kernel with the few mods added above in the OP. I won't be editing the ROM itself so I apologize ahead that any issues some might have won't be fixed here
And for it being a bit sluggish, all ICS Rome I've tried and had live wallpaper running was sluggish. Use the Zeam launcher and change the background to an image and you are good to go. I've had no problems whatsoever with this from so far.
I too get device not compatible on some apps but those apps might not be compatible with ICS?

You do realize this is an XT860 ROM, so you'll probably have to tweak the build.prop, APN list, and libmoto.ril, at least, to get it to work.
Hi, in most of the ICS roms there is no data (wifi & cell) in the GSM version. what is the case here?

Hey, Just flashed your rom for the first time today. One of the few, recent 2.3x+ based roms around for our devices at the moment. I have to say, it at least compares well to, if not outperforms liberty with a little customization, my phone is flying along, the only thing better will be custom kernels. I did notice a few apps missing that I find invaluable in custom roms, I think it could use a terminal emulator of some type - multi-use, when you feel you need bash this fills the void, manage files, troubleshoot problems, debloat/customize system apps etc, especially with busybox. and/or the only other app I really thought it needed was a gui filemanager like root browser. I know that terminal emulator can be used to manage files but many people like the gui. All in all it's 2 thumbs up for sure. My experience on my bell xt860 was a little annoying and I would recommend that other bell users flashing this just replace the file "/system/etc/apns-conf.xml" with either a copy from a bell rom or copy and paste the CyanogenMod Apn List etc. I wanted to get data up the lazy way, by copying an apns-conf.xml over but couldn't because no terminal or file manager lol. Thank you very much for the rom. I'm liking it, nice to have something based on 2.3.6 etc (liberty was getting a little old, been using it since ... lol). I also noticed you have the motoblur setup and a bit of other blur that can be removed. If you'd like I could send you a pm with the few apps as I come across them.

I rooted prior to the OTA yesterday. Can I just wipe and flash this instead to achieve the same thing (update to latest)?
I did install a custom recovery (CWM).
Thanks.

I'm pretty sure you can wipe and flash this instead to achieve the latest 4.2 update.
I also ran into your issue where I rooted prior to the OTA and I couldn't update to the OTA because of that.
Just for a FYI here is the post I made about it.

I tried this, and it did not work well for me.
I followed the directions - yes, formatted system, etc. When I rebooted, the animation was very slow, and then the whole OS was so slow as to be unusable. I rebooted into recovery, cleared user data, cleared the cache, davlik, repaired permissions. Rebooted - same problem.
I ended up just flashing the stock google ROM, and now everything is fine. I don't know why it behaved like this - may just be something unique to my setup.

No, I too have been experiencing some odd behavior but I know some people love theming and might want deodexed files to play with. Another issue is my wifi stopped working and would stay stuck at turning on, even after multiple reboots, clearing cache and wiping data didn’t help either…..
Good news is that I will be uploading a new version (very shortly) where it will correctly flash the kernel, zipaligned the apks and wifi working. Just a few more tests and it will be good to go.

Loving the themed apps. Too bad I don't use the stock SMS/keyboard apps.
A note, the font is white so I can't read it on the white setting dialogue. Go to the SMS app > Settings > Text Message Limit. You should normally be able to see the numbers to scroll but you can't see anything unless the middle number is highlighted.
