Where to get stock rom ? - Galaxy S I9000 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi,
My phone shows that I have I9001XXKPE firmware. I rooted my phone and deleted some apps, and it kept working fine for a long time. Now today I resetted my phone and its giving me force closes.
I want to revert back to the full firmware. Can anyone tell me where to get XXKPE and how to restore it to my phone ?
Thanks.

Did you flash jm1 through odin or something? If you flash an unofficial firmware, that's what kies will tell you. If you want to be able to use kies to upgrade, you probably need to flash back to a stock firmware

[Q] [MIUI ROM]Problems and Troubleshooting

I just performed a fresh installation of the MIUI RC5 on my i9000 and Have a few problems.
1. My network provider is not being recognized at all. (Even after a couple of restarts)
2. My IMEI is not being displayed. (Even after deleting the efs folder using Root Explorer.)
So please respond immediately as I wish to continue using this ROM.
Thanks in advance
you have to restore the efs backup that you should of made before the installation.
that will restore the IMEI and give you network coverage.
if you cant do that, re-flash the ROM, and if it still doesnt work, you will have to flash back to froyo with pit and repartition and start the whole process again.
Thx a lot dude. Trying it right now. Hope it works *fingers crossed* http://media.xda-developers.com/images/icons/icon11.gif

So you have the Samsung Infuse? Because this is the Galaxy S forums and I don't think Miui is even available on the Infuse so no wonder it isn't working(and the way you installed it isn't the correct procedure anyway). You can probably install a fresh official rom for your phone some how through odin but I'm not familiar with the Infuse. Best to go to the Infuse forums and ask. Hope this helps

[Q] Soft keys don't work?!

Hello, i have my Note rooted, and installed framework for circle battery.
I have baseband XXKJ4 android 2.3.5, besides that everything is stock !
At first everything was working great, no problems whatsoever but now from time to time my soft keys freeze and i must reboot device to get them working again.
So what could be the problem? Should i unroot it and take it back to get it repaired or is that normal? How should i fix it?
Tnx for advice !

It could be the framework changes you did with the battery.
Flash a stock ROM back on it, see if that solves your problem.
Im facing same problem.. Today was the second time the soft keys wuldnt work since i bought the note 1 week ago..after i ended a phone call it took me back to the call logs so i pressed the return soft key but it wuldnt take me back to home screen!! That's a known issue on 2.3.5
On a number of occasions it happens after a call.
Just switch to the latest stock in the 2.3.6 series and all should be OK.

He means: Just update your phone from Android 2.3.5 to 2.3.6
The forum has several threads about updating and rooting
OK, I have figured out that 2.3.6 is the android version. But my phone is already onto that version installed, so I can't upgrade to it to fix the problem....
Any other ideas?

[CDMA][SPRINT] Every App Crashes

Some Info:
First things first: This is not my primary tablet anymore so If I can't get it working that is okay.
Second: I am trying to fix it for my parents or to sell it.
Third: It is the Sprint CDMA Version.
Okay so the problem with the tablet is when I turn on the device after flashing anything (whether it be the stock Gingerbread Rom via Odin/Heimdall or Cyanogenmod/AOKP) it works fine for a couple of moments... I set it up.. I open a couple of apps... and suddenly every single app starts to force close!!
On Stock it shows some apps like Swype and on ICS roms it shows some acore process.
I really want to know how to unbrick this and I can't send it in cause my warranty ended in February.
I'm also having a similar problem.
But I can't flash any ROM.
Even if I copy the zip file to the tab memory, after I reboot it, the file disappears. It always goes to Italian language. Can't remove the google account or the hotmail account.
I have tried to reset to factory defaults, etc and still the same...
Any ideas?
What android version your tablet have ?

Stock Gingerbread but the problem started when I had AOKP on it.
I tried flashing back to stock yesterday and now it's in a boot loop on the second Samsung logo after the Sprint logo.
The things that crash are android.process.acore, all gapps, Swype on stock, and Google Play.
Hello guys
i have bad news for you...
if you can't do wipe(i mean, you do it nothing change)

[Q] Flashed to 4.4.2 - WiFi won't turn on?

Hi all,
Can anyone help with a problem after flashing to 4.4.2?
I've got an i9295 that was provided by T-Mobile in the UK. I flashed my phone with I9295XXUCNE4_I9295NEECNE4_I9295XXUCNE4_HOME.tar.md5 which is designed for the 'Nordic countries' but I was assured works with UK phones, "all i9295" devices. Everything went swimmingly until the phone booted up. Everything is working and the flashing went as expected (I've done it LOADS with my old Galaxy S2). However, I can't turn on the WiFi. It doesn't even light up the icon.
How can I diagnose the issue? Or can anyone provide a ROM that might work better with my phone? Heck, I'd even settle for the stock ROM so at least I can use the WiFi.
Thanks for any help you can provide! I'm familiar with flashing ROMs so I'm not a noob.
Cheers,
Richard.

In the end I had to find a stock firmware to put the phone back to 4.2.2 and it's all working again, although it's not Kit Kat anymore, of course. There is a really good list of stock firmwares here: http://www.mrcrab.net/androidfirmware/GT-I9295/Samsung-Galaxy-S4-Active-GT--I9295.html
I guess I'll have to wait for Kit Kat...
