In my hands come SGS which cant boot up, same trouble like in this video:

but my SGS bootloopin´ this.I have instaled Kies, and shut down Kies and Kies tray agent(Only for Driver to ODIN).But it didnt work, so i have linstaled another drivers, and nothing new.Phone boot up to download mode without problems, but cant boot up to recovery.I have to try tutorial with download mode(Like with JIG) without JIG and didnt work.So what must i do to save the phone?Thanks for all answers.
Not really clear but if you can get into download mode and Odin recognizes phone then flash new firmware. But I suspect you are saying Odin isn't detecting the device.

Buy usb jig on ebay, put it in downlaod mode and reflash some stock kernel. It should do the trick.

if you were flashing an ics based rom you need nexus s driver's on the PC for Odin to see your phone as the stock Samsung one is no use now.

I`m in trouble
Hi guys.
I can`t make my windows 7 recognize the SGS...I`ve already tried the USB_samsung drivers, even for Nexus...but the error 43 always appears.
I can turn on the phone in CWM but anything can be done, always data problems...so I only can put it on Download Mode, but I can`t download anything, the Odin doesn`t have a Comm Port communication.
I was restoring for Factory Default when it happens...I was using the MyUltimate 1.3...after I flashed the ICS RC 4.2...and now anything works.
Sorry about my English...I`m Brazilian.
I really appreciate any kind of help.

I have no idea...i`m reading many help option in differents Android/SGS forums, but anything is going well...
Does anybody know if doing a JIG download, like if the device was bricked wouls resolve?

I can't root my sgs, i have tryed almost every tutorials i can find about this, but i can't connect to odin when the phone is in download mode. I even get this up in download mode: can't access to '/system/csc/xee/system/' Anyone that can help me with this issue?
Uh... sounds like something is seriously wrong with your phone dude =\ You should be able to get to d/l mode regardless. Does the phone still work fine otherwise?

I have the same problem after upgrading to official firmware via kieys. Running PDA:I9000NEJVD, PHONE:I9000NEJV5, CSC:H3GJV6 on 3mobile. Odin doesn't recognise phone in download mode, computer only reads onboard sd card when connected as usb storage. Tried one superoneclick too but stops at running pnueter exploit/gingerbreak exploit. Super laggy as well, Can i roll back to froyo? any help highly appreciated.

Did you try diffrent usb port on your cpu?
also..on the cpu that your using odin to flash , do you have kies installed?
if so make sure it isn't running ( i would uninstall just incase)
see if that helps.

I am interested in rooting too, and I have gingerbread. I have 2 problems though, first, I do not have the 3button combo working. I thought the gingerbread update would fix it, but no luck, and the method I found here did not work. I hear that you should not try to root without the 3 button combo working, but what choice do I have, samsung update did not fix this bootloader problem. I cannot put my phone in download mode without having it plugged in and recognized by adb.
My 2nd problem is that I have a I9000T and it seems nobody has this phone around here so I have no way of knowing if some of the rooting options even work for my phoen and firmeware.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I actually have a i9000t, ive soft bricked a few times as long as you could get into download mode you should be ok, allways keep a stock rom around just incase to flash back to through odin.
Ive flashed a few modem with no problems, few roms with minimal problems..
Cm7 lost radio and weird pixle screen boot.
Deoxidized roms work good.
I had flashed Darkys 9.5 and everything worked till i noticed the stock music player gave me reboots.
I had tried flashing MIUI but no luck at all, could of been my zip. File was messed up but i tried a diffrent and still nothing.Now im on Darky 10.1 final no problems.
This has to be the most stable/fastest rom ive ever flashed.

hi.. do you have official kies installed on your computer?
if so uninstall it first... and installed the unofficial samsung driver.. sorry i cant post link here as am junior member..
you can search in google "samsung usb.rar". Once you download it, then installed it on your computer. Open you odin, put your phone in download mode,
and plug in to computer, then odin should be able to recognize your phone.
Once I have the same problem and it works for me with above step. hope that help.

Thanks for the reply! Ok, I finally manage to have the 3button combo work and get into download mode and recovery mode. I want to root, can you tell me if the odin method works on 2.3.3 stock, on I9000T . Also, How can I fully backup my phone. Which android version did you have when you rooted.
Also, I keep reading those very old threads and I was wondering what the latest Odin version is used for 2.3.3.

Tried this workaround, but still no luck with Odin. When fone is in download mode, I get the message apling multi-csc...Installing multi-csc then "unable to access system/csc/H3G/system/".Couldnt roll back the os through kies either before I uninstalled it. Any help highly appreciated
Would definitely would like to know how to root 2.3.3 (UBJV6)? Is there anything specia; I have to do since I have recovery 3e too?

Turns out We/I have been using the wrong button combo for download. Download mode is: Vol DOWN+Home+Power On.!!! Recovery mode is Vol UP+Home+Power On. I used Fuguroot with my stock kernel from RAMAD (senior developer). Flashed with odin & it took LESS THAN 2 MIN! Hi, I did something stupid... I been trying to upload gingerbread to my Galaxy Tab. and I used re-partition.. so now I bricked.. It starts with samsug logo and after stops showing only the samsung galaxy..

I don't have a galaxy tab, but it should be similliar to my galaxy s. I think your device is NOT bricked. As long as you can get to download mode, your device is NOT bricked. If you can get there, you should try to flash with odin/heimdall again. I think you must have done something wrong in the flashing process. AFAIK the logo is displayed by bootloader (primary), so if nothing went wrong with flashing the secondary one (download mode), you should be able to flash again.

When I`m starting odin and go into download mode and connect my usb cable to my phone it show nothing in odin. I really need help since I have no firmware on my phone since I tried to restore a system before from galaxysense since odin won`t recognize my phone with galaxysense and cm7. This happed for a few days ago. I really need help?

No and I can`t boot into recovery now, Had this problem when I`m was on simply Honey but I get my phone to connect to odin after a while, but after I flashed to CM7 and a day after that odin won`t recognized my phone.

The phone ! Computer screen is download mode. This has happened because the last time you tried to use Odin the cable was pulled to soon. Open the Odin one click your trying to use while the phone is on that screen, and plug in the USB. If Odin does not recognize it you can look here for connection issues.

I apprecciate it but its still a no go Heimdall doesnt even work, tried reinstalling drivers, tried all button combos, my phone turns on automatically when battery is inserted, Jig does not work either, dont really know what to do at this point

Heimdall and Odin won't work on same USB port. Have you tried using a different one?
Kinda a shot in the dark but if you haven't tried it yet, put the jig in before the battery. Or try the jig a couple times (wait like 20-30sec in between) with the battery in, that worked for me before.

Now I have trying to get Odin to recognize my phone when I am in download mode but it noes not show up in the port field. I have been trying both odin 1.3 as well as Odin 1 click...
The funny thing is that Heimdall can recognize the phone on one click but i am trying to get odin to recognize so that i can switch roms... I preffer Odin to Heimdall so if anybody has any ideas it would be greatly appreciated.
By the way if i am not in download mode and the phone is on and I connect it and have odin on, it actually recognizes the phone... so not sure...

Have you tried another USB port? My experience with heidmall is that when you install it's own driver, Odin no longer recognizes the phone when you boot into download mode. If for some reason it still doesn't work, I suppose you could uninstall your captivate drivers and re install them.
Ok... cuz really i did feel that it was because of the one click heimdall that the driver might not be recognized... Mind pointing me to how to un install and then re install the driver on the phone...?

Heimdall installs it's own drivers to the USB port you use it on. You will have to use another USB port if you wanna use Odin (Your pc should have more than one).
You could uninstall the drivers but it is far more complicated than just using a different USB port.
location GPS antenna on i897. Well, then disassemble the phone and the antenna to be under the speaker if the speaker remove the antenna located in the top right corner of the board. Who can come up with how to enhance signal reception, write.

recently i have installed a cyanogenmod 10 on my SGS
but whet i connect my phone with PC i saw that Samsung kies didn't recognize my phone i mean no thing appear in kies window
but i can only use the phone in mass storage mod . so i'm asking if there is a way to connect SGS with PC using Kies
and there is an other thing i think it is absent in cyanogen 10 witch is the black list in call settings

so im in exact situation i have cm10 and wanted to flash back stock via ODIN but it cant detect phone properly and stops on verifying platforms...
on evry pc cable and usb port.. i read somewhere that to flash odin u need kies to recognize ur phone, so how im suppose to do that?
i wanted to back to CWM (in which i have backup) but i have TWRP now and it dont want to install rar with cwm oO and i cant use odin, so what should i do........????

first i want to excuse me for my bad english, i hope you will understand my problem.
I have a rooted GT-S5830 with Froyo (2.2.1).
The plan was to install CWM and then a custom Rom.
I've downloaded CWM 5.0.2.6 for the Galaxy Ace, renamed the .zip to update.zip (it doesn't work while it was named CWM_XXXXXXX.zip), copied it to SD-Card and installed it via the original Recovery Mode.
The Installation went well, i rebooted the phone and everything was fine.
Now the problem: I can't go to the Recovery Mode.
Every Time I press Home and Power, my Phine stuck at the second SAMSUNG-Logo and, after a few minutes, it boot to the"normal" Mode.
I've tried to do an update via KIES, but my Notebook says that the Phone will not be seen in Download-Mode...
Odin didn't see the Phone (same Problem...Download Mode...)
So... Is there any Idea to restore the Recovery Mode or renew it or... whatever.

In a german forum i found a .exe which will bring the phone to recover mode, i've tested it and now evrything is broken...

Here is the link on how to install stock Gingerbread rom using odin along with all firmwares. Go to the "Preparations" section and download all the necessary files including drivers. When your notebook cannot detect the phone, its usually the drivers. To go to the download mode, hold Vol Down+ Home + Power button until you see "Downloading..." in the screen.
Flash stock rom on Samsung Galaxy Ace S5830 using odin
Once installed, go to recoverymod and do a wipe data/ factory reset & wipe cache (otherwise bootloop might occur). Then restart. Now you have successfully flashed the stock rom. Here is the link for rooting and installing CWM 5 on Samsung Galaxy Ace,

The biggest problem is that the phone will not be shown in download mode, so Odin says that there is no phone connected.
I have tried 3 different driver packages...
The link to Samsung says that the phone (GT-S5830) is too old for letting me download any driver.
I think that everything will work when the phone will be recognized by computer..

Can you tell me what happens when you hold Vol Down+ Home+ Power button?
Then the download mode starts...
It looks different like at my Galaxy S4, but there is written "downloading" in yellow letters
No Samsung Logo before, no sound, no animation...
Hope that this is the right mode...

My Notebook says that the last connected device can't be identificated and that there is a fault in the enumeration if the device (i've tried to translate it from german, even in german i don't know what that means).

That is the Download Mode of Galaxy Ace alright. All you have to do now is connect to the odin and it should detect the phone. If not please reinstall the drivers. Hope I Helped
I've done exactly what you say nearly hundred times, with different driver packages, different computers, different cables, yesterday, today, at morning, afternoon and evening. I don't know what to do now...
I think that it is a driver fault, but no chance to fix it.
There are lots of problems wich are more important than this...

simple solution to yr problem. reinstall kies, or if you dont ve it install remember to stay connected to internet,when kies ask if u want to install driver for bada or other models check the box. the next time u connect yr phone in download mode yr drivers will be installed... or if u can get another working ace connect to yr pc to geet the drivers installed.

I don't know what you mean by connecting to Linux. But if you meant using odin in Linux, then well it will not work even with Wine. Wine doesn't work reliably with things that need hardware connections.
