I was waiting for this some time

I just knew you would do it, thanks

dear doomlord thanks for your works, do this kernel work for users with 0% problem?

This Kernel works on IceLite AOSP. Maybe the answer is NO because this is an AOSP ROM. Sorry I´m confused about some things yet.

may be a good news...
my old kernel works (with updated ramdisk) on this new ICS-Beta:
but there are HEAVY graphics glitches...
i dont think its really fully usable... i might try a few things to clear these GFX glitches but i guess we will have to wait for SE/Sony devs to release kernel sources
once i have latest sources i can patch up my kernel sources to correctly work on it...

nope this is not a pure custom kernel... its basically stock kernel with recovery, etc...
may be u can get the 0% battery module (.ko file) from Z's ROM and use it
ok i have found the required files for making this kernel compatible with 0% battery issue users (thanks to zdzihu for the "fake_battery" service )... if anyone wants i can update the kernel to support 0% battery issue users...

Question on TEMPLATE UPDATE.ZIP (v1)
if i want to install HOME.apk with this template , i need to
1.copy the HOME.apk to system\app
2.edit updater-script (HOW)
3.zip folder system & META-INF
4.install at CWM
if my step right, i only need to know how to edit the updater-script (i quite understand the code in it)

I help JasonStein compiling the kernel from source
Thx for your support
don't forget to download wifi drivers :
https://github.com/freexperia/vendor_ti_wlan
then to compile : HOST_PLATFORM=msm KERNEL_DIR=~/android/sources ARCH=arm CROSS_COMPILE=/home/bhe/android/system/prebuilt/linux-x86/toolchain/arm-eabi-4.4.0/bin/arm-eabi- make
change path for kernel sources and toolchain
you have to do it twice, somewhere in ap directory and somewhere in sta directory
you will need wifi modules matching your compiled kernel version

CWM-Based Recovery 6.0.4.6 + ROOT for Xperia Z {KitKat Support!}

This is a CWM-Based Recovery 6.0.4.6 for Xperia Z
Credits and special thanks to Koush and everyone else involved in Cyanogenmod project!
[ info ]
This Recovery is built from CWM 6.0.4.6 sources! There have been some changes made to get this working on stock kernel of Xperia
Initially i didnt have this device with me so all testing was done remotely on users devices...
this would not have been possible without the device sources by FreeXperia Team! thank you guys for your commitment to development of Xperia devices and CONGRATULATIONS for getting CM10.1 booting on this device so fast! awesome devs!
[ credits / special thanks ]
Koush - for the brilliant work & coding on CWM recovery
CyanogenMod and FreeXperia Team (especially jerpelea) for too many things
lilstevie & Dees_Troy for their hack to get recovery working properly on 3.4 kernel!
special thanks to yeeson and others for helping out with testing and risking their devices for the sake of development!!! and NO, their devices was NOT damaged during testing
ME for creating this for u guys!
[ Requirements ]
Bootloader unlocked
working fastboot
STOCK ROM FW:
4.4.2 -> 10.5.A.0.230
4.3 -> 10.4.B.0.569 / 10.4.1.B.0.101
4.2.2 -> 10.3.A.0.423 / 10.3.1.A.0.244 / 10.3.1.A.2.67
4.1.2 -> 10.1.A.1.350 / 10.1.A.1.434 / 10.1.1.A.1.253
or ROMS BASED ON THAT FIRMWARE
[ features ]
CWM 6.0.4.6
faster reboot into recovery
supports native reboot into recovery! (adb reboot recovery)
recovery now supports internal storage!
internal storage (datamedia) mounted to /sdcard while external card is mounted as /external_sd
you can now flash files from internal storage
you can take backups onto the internal storage (might not be compatible with CM10.1)
TIP: if u are experiencing very slow backup in CWM do this
[ WARNING ]
THIS RECOVERY IS STILL IN TESTING... MAKE SURE THAT U HAVE UR COMPLETE DATA BACKED-UP (INCLUDING INTERNAL STORAGE/SDCARD DATA)
THIS IS MENT ONLY FOR STOCK ROM FIRMWARE or ROMS BASED ON THAT FIRMWARE...
[ known issues ]
USB storage doesnt mount in recovery (can be fixed, i think)
do not use this for flashing CM10.1/CM10.2/CM11 (u will need to use the CM kernel for that)
the last two issues are with the way things are mapped on the device, nothing much can be done at the moment about this
[ how to flash this kernel ] (via recovery) [RECOMMEDED]
download the kernel package update.zip
save the package update.zip to sdcard (of phone)
reboot phone and enter recovery
flash the kernel package update.zip
reboot phone and enjoy this kernel
[ how to flash this kernel ] (via fastboot)
download the kernel package update.zip
save it on c: and extract the boot.img from the package
save the boot.img to the folder containing fastboot binary
flash the boot.img using fastboot:
Code:
fastboot flash boot boot.img
reboot from fastboot
Code:
fastboot reboot
the device should now start booting
now follow the instructions to flash kernel through recovery as there are many files which need to be placed in system for compatibility/stability!
enjoy this kernel
[ how to enter recovery ]
when you see the Sony logo and the LED light turns pink/amber/orange keep tapping/pressing VOLUME UP key

i even have custom kernel ready with some decent overclock 1.8Ghz... may be we can try even 2ghz but that might be overkill but i guess we cna keep the phone in water if it gets too hot!!! ... i wish i had the device working, testing on it would be so much faster

[ my kernel sources ]
Just a statement regarding kernel source: The Kernel Source is released for all at GITHUB repo given below. BUT Free software does NOT mean no work or time was spent working on it. A lot of my free time has gone into patching/testing this kernel/features integrated in this kernel. If you use my modified kernel source in parts or in its entirety, I kindly ask you mention its origins and to send me a github pull request or PM whenever you find bugs or think you can help improve my kernel hack further. This way the entire community will truly benefit from the spirit of open source.
Thank you !

LT29i has three kinds of Screen we can call them A,B,C , so there are three touch firmwares
Due to CM10/CM10.1 of Freexperia, if Screen A and C are correct, Screen B will be upsidedown. It
But I don't know why it will not happen to stock kernel
Touch firmware is flashed from hwconfig.sh to the device if an error is detected on stock, maybe something like that could be implemented if you have the fw files.
Volunteers with rooted devices could share them to a private link

Touch screen works very funny i can control a round dot and push anywhere to tap in those place where is this round dot DDD like gloves control on xperia sp.

You said in the other topic to have a .307 kernel with recovery! But since you already release this can i flash the kernel inside with fastboot after unlocking my bootloader and enter directly to recovery and flash the Rom?
Can I do this starting from an old .350 Rom with root and them unlocking the bootloader so I could flash your kernel?
Sorry but I never unlock a bootloader and flashed any custom kernel...It's my first Xperia phone!
Thanks
Quick question. Can we use your custom v8 kernel with this?
And thank you for all your effort with kernel and this leak.
Thank you.
Awesome. I'm going to hold off though until someone releases a TWRP/dual recovery version or kernel as I can't stand CWM
Reserved for feedback: Roughly a half hour
UPDATE:
Just flashed a few minutes ago and everything seems fine so far.
Camera launches very quickly from lock screen. Still slight delay launching from app drawer.
ROM seems extremely smooth thus far, no graphical glitches etc.
Too soon for Wi-Fi or battery life.
Quick Settings is nice, (up to 10 customisable panels similar to Niobac's mod)
Thanks Doom
Wow great Work DooM Thanks a lot!!!
i know you don't like stupid questions but there is one very important Thing...
is it possible with 4.2.2 to move additional app data (/internalSD/Android/data and /internalSD/Android/odd) to external SD Card??? this is the only major issue to be restricted to the limited 12GB internal Memory for ALL Application data...
It would be awesome if it is movable now without root
