I red that sxl didnt get sense 4.0 . How true it is , i dont know.

Me too. it's just nobody is brave enough to port this to XL. Resizing and stuff, because EVO have qhd display 540X960 and dual core (i think that shouldn't be the problem for the brave person,or for the right person !!!!)

We are now having the HTC One V leak. So no need to resize stuffs anymore. Just need to fix and port so it can work correctly on the Sensation XL. Anyone interests?

My friend has an xe and he has sense 3.5.

XE on Android 2.3 had Sense 3.0. On Android 4.0 it has Sense 3.6. Any variations on that are custom ROMS. Hope that helps!

Although the XL has dual core the One V is newer.

Yeap, but when the Sensation XL stops receiving support from HTC most of the devs might be gone already? Since HTC seems to support mid and highend devices for a year and a half at least.
So you can count from that where the SensationXL support is most likely gonna stop. ..Not very soon.
Buuut thats just my vision. Some dev could easily give a way better answer

It's strange, because HTC's official site says it's "Android 4.0 with HTC Sense 4".
And the 3.6 variant what we can see in the leaked Sensation ICS roms looks other than the One V's Sense...

Sense 3.5 also looks slightly different on Rhyme (Bliss) and other devices like Sensation XL.
Course I voting for Sense 4.0

I also would like to know why there is not that much stuff for XL.... I mean roms and mods and things.... if you look the DHD dev forums there is alot of roms.....if DHD can why XL can't.....
We get ics sense 3. 6 soon.. if we have this.. its much easier to port

Some devices take time to take off dev wise. It will happen though. My last device (Xperia Play) was dead for over a year, then all of a sudden boom there was roms/themes/kernels/mods comming from all over the place

Very true. Resizing sense 4 full will take some serious effort for any dev no matter how good you are..

And if anyone fancies a go at porting it feel free, I would never attempt it because I know that it is going to be a massive amount of work, because you will have to resize absolutely everything, to get it to fit, I've looked at a full sense 4 port from the DHD and in my eyes it unusable because its not been resized at all and all of the icons are way too big...
Well before we go porting a full sense 4 rom hoe about we iron out the bugs in the sense 4 from we have now hey?

@anonymous_1997: i changed some bin xbin etc files...after that..it also boots...it said (after boot) your phone memory is not right formated...format..? i say no...and shut down phone..(want go back to recovery and restore backup) but phone was complete dead...there was no way to bring it back...also not with riff box...so i replaced it with and display brocken sxl from ebay..and maked my display in...thats why i´m a bit carefully now...for such things it would be good to have sxl 2x ...

Bumping a thread three times is useless. You see nobody elses does have the time/motivation/need to find a way to port Sense 4.5 or 5 on the SXL, so if you really want it, learn to develop ROMs yourself, as I am doing now to build 4.2.2 AOSP ROM.
