The power button is not needed for anything, really. There are ways to circumvent its usefulness, even though it would be nice to have a working power button.
To start up my device if it's shut down, I just do the battery pull trick which works.

Sorry for not getting back to you yesterday. I totally forgot

Install this for ADB (and fastboot, I think?) drivers: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1521881
If you want to unlock your bootloader, which isn't necessary: Reboot in fastboot USB mode and type in a console: fastboot oem unlock

Its not a battery issue....it seems if you do a factory reset the drivers are deleted from the phone itself....rendering the device useless.

First of all, can your phone correctly boot into bootloader mode? If yes, you may have a chance to make it back to alive!!

This is the last chance. But they can refuse to repair or you have to pay for the new hardware. Give it a try. Good Luck!

I don't think it's bricked... Pull the battery and wait for about 5 seconds and try holding the power button + home. U should be able to get to recovery mode.

[Q] Firmware Upgrade Fail

Hey,
I have a
Samsung Exhibit 4G SGH-T759
Looks like this http://www.boeboer.com/wp-content/u...MobileSGHT759ManualUserGuideSpecsOverview.jpg
I Think flashing custom rom failed, i do not really remember which isnt that important i guess.
Whenever I turn it on It says on the screen
Firmware upgrade fail !
Try using recovery mode
---------
The problem is i can not go to recovery or the download mode.
Home Lock vol +
or
the Home lock vol -
Does not do anything.
Odin recognizes the device but i can not flash anything to it....
Is there anyway to force this device to go into recovery or download mode?
Tmobile asks 70$ for the repair... I dont want to pay it because i have a note 2
but i dont want this device to be useless either..
Any help?

if your 3 button combo is notworking how can you flash stock?
Burn it on a CD and try to stick it to the device? I think it would not work..... at all...

Well first are you sure you are using the right combo and there is another way, you could buy a download mode jig for about 5 and that should boot it into download fine

Yeah im sure im using the corret combo. I own a note 2, rooted unlocked, custom rom, recovery installed on it.

That thing looks pretty simple actually... I can make my own jig with a resistor i guess

[Q] Elegancia 2.5 issues.

In a quest for a customizable ROM that was built upon ICS, I came across Elegancia's Pegasus, and I thought I would give it a try. To my horror, the ROM was incredibly UGLY (no offense) and I decided to reboot into recovery. As I did, the recovery page launched for about a split second before hitting the white HTC Screen of Death. So, I rebooted it, and now I'm stuck in an Elegancia bootloop that won't end.
And so my predicament: I can't recover, nor can I boot. What to do from here? Through the piece of garbage away?
nvm this
Schoutse said:
You can still boot into bootloader right?
You need to relock bootloader and run an RUU.
To do so boot into bootloader (volume down + power button), then choose fastboot and connect it with the cable to your computer.
On your computer run the fastboot.exe and type the command "fastboot oem lock" without the quotations.
Then find an RUU here:
Holiday RUU's
and choose one of your carrier.
Run the .exe and when its finished you have the stock rom again.
If you want to get a custom rom do all the steps for flashing roms again and unlock bootloader again.
I think this is how it works.
Edit: you will lose your data..

No need to do all that... Fastboot erase cache will fix the issue. Then re-flash your recovery and you are set.
^^
with what problem do you have to use the ruu again? i thought that was needed for bootloop :s lol
