Unable to boot phone up - Galaxy Note GT-N7000 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi guys,
I recently tried to flash a new rom into my phone and I accidentally flashed the rom from the internal SDCard and now my phone will not boot. I am able to go into CWM but Im just unable to boot the phone up. Has anybody tried this or does anybody know how I can fix this? Thanks

I assume you are trying to flash a custom rom in .zip format, what you can do is
-Remove your external memory card
-Transfer your rom into that external memory card using pc
- reinstalled the memory card onto your device
- boot into recovery by pressing volume up,home and off button
- select flash zip, and you should be good from there.

Physically remove your external micro usb card..plug it into a micro usb card reader..and transfer from pc into that card...once complete, reinsert your micro sd card onto your phone and boot into recovery.
Edit: this will work only if you are trying to flash a rom in .zip format

Hi, yes I know how to put roms into my external memory card and flash them from there. What my problem is I accidentally flashed a custom .zip rom from the phone memory not from the external memory card and now it does not boot up. Any suggestions?

Are you able to boot up in cwm recovery? By pressing the 3 button combo does the phone go into recovery? If it does..than there should be no problem..

Go to recovery and advanced and then mount usb storage and connect your phone to computer! Done! Do any transfer u want!
BOOMED from my BOMBASTIC NOTE :-D

And its not an issue whether u flash from internal or external sd card. Just wipe/format data + clear all cache and dalvik cache in recovery! The phone should boot normally!

If you should install roms with cwm, the zip has to be stored in internal sd card.

i tried that still wont work. could it be a rewrite demon on the sd. the cwm on the cm7-2.0.7 can read my sd i dont understand why the cwm in the ics kernel cant. ive put cm9 on 3 other x8s and ive never had this problem.
turn on your phone without sdcard first..
then use card reader to check your sdcard..check the format is FAT not NTFS
put those files in your sdcard..
after that turn off your phone, and insert your sdcard and turn it on again!

mount sd-card
ok, i think i figured this out, and i have had to register in order to share my findings. i was having the exact same problem, bootloader unlocked the kernel flashed and couldn't access the sdcard.
what i did...this worked for me with a 2gb sdcard
1. in the clockwork menu partitioned a 1024 partition and if i remember correctly the 256 swap. it takes about 1 minute dont worry if nothing seems to be happening.
2. i was then able to mount usb storage
3. passed the rom and gapps to sdcard through usb, and installed from sd no probs
4. after configuring minicm went back to try and partition the full size of the sd card but wasnt able to for some reason. maybe some light could be shed??
hope ive helped anyone and thaks to this thread.

please help to load a cooked rom in a i9000.. we

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
hi all,i read a lot in these forums about the procedure to put a cooked rom in a samsung i9000,so the exact work that i did was:
1) root the i9000
2) from the market i bought rom manager premium 5.5.2.3
3)installed clockworkmod 3.2.0.0
4)holded vol up + home button + power on and booted in clockworkmod mode
5) i looked for the cooked rom i put on the external sd drive....
.....BUT when i look for it the phone doesnt see the external sd so im stuck here i cant load the cooked rom cause i cant see the external sd,perhaps i dont follow all the steps?????
please give me some help here im stuck since 4 days now!
P.S: the sd card works fine,im sure about it and the firmware version of the phone is 2.2.1 file is I9000XXJVE
thanks a lot
recovery mode
connect to pc
mount "internal sd" as usb storage
copy rom/zip/files
you cant install a rom from external sd on cwm 3.x or below so dowload this
https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B0ndlAeElddhbDRmb0JvWTNmRlk/edit?usp=drive_web
extract it on internal sd then go to install zip from sd card aroma fm/ tmp/and theres a zip install the zip and it will open a file manager and then copy ur rom from externel to internel enjoy!!! also u cant install cwm from rom manager on our phone due to the recovery layout...

thanks guys but i dont follow your help!
i downloaded aroma.zip installed in the internal memory of the phone launched it from the recovery menu but this sw is all mess up and i cant work with it!
i would like to know if i can install cooked rom from the internal memory of the phone,i guess not cause if i do so the phone will just hang up cause i can share the rom and the installation space right?
since im quite sure i cant use the internal memory of the phone i can only use the external sd card to install the cooked rom but it looks like u are telling me that i have no hopes to use the external sd card to install the rom so....what am i supposed to do?i cant use the internal memory,i cant use the external sd card so....what am i supposed to use???????????????????????????
thanks again!
I am not even sure why you made the assumption that you can't use the internal memory in the first place. The internal SD as it is sometimes referred to is separate from the OS. Case in point, factory restoring your phone will not wipe your internal memory.
So just use the internal memory.

[Q] Cant see Internal storage card in recovery

Hi guys.
I want to flash the GT-N7000 of a friend of mine but here 's the thing.
I got all i need (raw kernel, philz cwm, rom, gapps etc)
when i boot into stock recovery i can select install from external storage. That gives me the message: failed to mount.
We looked into the phone and tadaa there was no SD Card.
My question is: is it possible to mount / install zip files from internal card? I can access the card trough USB cabel on my pc. I copied all the zip files there but i cant acces it trough the stock samsung recovery.
I hope u guys can help

suddenly sd card is not detectable....plz help

:crying:Can anybody help me..plz?? I have a sd card of 32 gb Samsung evo class 10...today i remove the sd card from my phone(obviously after switch off) and insert in pc to take a game(amazing spiderman 2). But,then i insert the sd card in my k3 and turn on...the phn becomes damn slow...and the sd card storage is not showing..now the phn's speed is ok...but it still did not show the sd card...plz help...using aosp lemonade v3 rom...
Later I tried different SD cards...but none of them got detected. I also format the SD card. But,still the problem persists...now plz help me,plz...
I will suggest you to wipe everything and install a stock rom, vibeui or row, and if it still doesn't detect cards than probably it is a hardware thing.

I had Limonchello Mod 5.0, first off the Blutooth, then the Wi-Fi stopped, then the SD-Card Issue.
I fortunately had a backup, so via TeamWin re-installed Limochello, then again the SD Card issue.
You have to go to Mount, and be sure that the SD-Card is mounted in TeamWin, helped me in the end.
And I don't think this is necassary to say:
Backup everything 1st.
Shut Down, HOLD Volume Up and DOWN and POWER until entering to Teamwin.
Check if SD-Card is mounted in options, in MOUNT.... Reboot.
Cheers, hope it helps.
EDIT:
Be sure to when restarted, Settings, Storage - try to Mount the SD Card if it's now availible. Restart again.
Cheers.
Another thing you could try is to have the SD Card in your phone, and via USB connect to PC, see if it'll find your Phone and SD Storage...
Rock and Roll!!!
I guess it's a recovery issue. I have the same problem. My sdcard shows when I connect phone to PC. My CWM recovery has been acting strange lately. It gave me a bootloop when I tried to flash gapps and sdcard is not mounted, when I try to mount it gives me an error. I am going to flash stock ROW ROM and recovery to get back my warranty soon so it doesn't matter.
