[ROM][AOSP][4.0.3] Gummy 0.9.0 - 03/24/12 - The Remodel! - Motorola Droid 3

GUMMY, The Remodel!!!
NOTE: “Me” (Hashcode) did not do ANY of the major work on this ROM. I only helped get Gummy on the Droid 3 by providing patches to help w/ the Global phone data, hard keyboard, and other Motorola specifics. All credit goes to the Team Gummy Devs below. My goal is to support some of the builds on Kejar31’s behalf, and that’s why I’m posting the thread.
I believe the default setup is for CDMA, so GSM users will need to fix the build.prop, APN settings, etc

i wanna try this but can someone confirm that is compatible with safestrap?

this loads fine on strap.
im using the GAPPS for our moto ICS roms.
this rom is REALLY fun. im using the touch buttons and disabled my capacitive ones. cant find the notification LED settings though.
edit: if you want to use touch nav buttons, this is how you can disable the capacitive buttons. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1554111
note: only home and back will fully disable. im using the capacitive menu/search and disabled ICS soft menu.

Considering hash ported it, you should assume yes.
Sent from my XT862 using Tapatalk

flashed on safestrap and everything is OK.
im on GSM and data is working, no FCs

i think the gummy team changed the touch sounds so they arent as annoying as AOSP.
this is now my DD rom, just the right amount of customizations. still trying to find the notification LED settings that were listed. missing the weather in the bar too from aokp.
i cant wait for the codecs for the HDMI/camcorder/cameraUI and Fx/ and flash are sorted out so i can donate.

data on Wi-Fi and Cell ? (if yes it's can be a huge relief....)

Awesome to see this ported! I've been hoping a Gummy port, since Kejar and Co stopped work on Liberty. I really loved that ROM's stability and battery life, and I'm hoping that Gummy is no exception. Thank you Hash, for bringing us yet another fantastic option for the D3!

Wait... how are our kernels for our phones being updated? I thought our bootloaders were locked. Did that guy over at the razer forums finish his workaround?

They're not. The mention of kernel adjustments in the OP is a copy and paste from Kejar's OP in the GNex thread. If the bootloader had been cracked or bypassed, I'm certain that Hash would start a new thread about it.

can i bootstrap this?

I don't see why you couldn't. If Safestrap works, then Bootstrap should too. I would 100% recommend using Safestrap though...the process is the same as any other cwm recovery, and it provides a nice security blanket in case something goes wrong. Oh, and being able to dual boot doesn't hurt either. Safestrap is just....... well, safe, lol.
Sent from my A500 using xda premium

everytime i reboot even when i just select reboot phone it brings me to cwm recovery
edit: even if i turn off the phone and turn it on manually recovery comes up. if i hit reboot from the recovery menu then it continues to boot up normally.

Do not install themes over the top of GummyJAR 2.0 unless they were made for 2.0, you will get stuck in a bootloop if you do
Note: If you are having issues with GPS on 2.0 you will need to do a wipe install of 2.1 to fix it!!! Sorry
GummyJar is built for and only tested on 2.3.320/340 based phones.... If you are running 2.3.15 you might have issues Don't worry D2users you are good
GummyJAR is an AOSP like rom, yes it is based off of a moto rom (2.3.340)
99% of all apps were compiled by me from source (a few needed to be there from moto... like three or so provider.service apps)... This is a first and I was able to accomplish this though modifying the framework in both cvpc's and cyanogenmod's source. All source changes will be available to anyone who requests them after GummyJAR is released.... So yes this work will work its way into other Blur based ROM's
The look and and feel of this rom is AOSP + Gingerbread with a few tweaks If you are a themer and would like to release themes for my rom PM me...
GummyJAR is really as close to AOSP as we are going to get until cvpcs and Matt get things figured out and the bugs cleared up!!!
Thanks:
Thanks to Droid2169 for his patience with me when I needed help or just a question answered. GummyJAR will also be using his busybox and script which is greatly appreciated!
Thanks to Matt4542 for all his help and support along the way!!!! Oh and thanks for testing and porting GummyJAR to the D2

Existing themes will not be supported although they may work.. This framework is highly modified and I would prefer it if people created themes directly for GummyJAR

Didn't even realize there was a download link, downloading now.
If we are coming from a different rom, do we need to SBF back to 2.3.320? Or are we safe flashing directly from the rom (still factory reset/wipe cache etc)?
There should be not need to sbf.... as long as you are on 2.3.320

[ROM-AOSP][05-25-11] Evervolv | GRJ22/Android 2.3.4 | v1.1.0b2 | Mucho dinero!

Ladies and gentlemen I am glad to bring you the first ever gingerbread beta of Evervolv for the Droid Incredible! First thing I would like to say is that this rom would not be possible without the CyanogenMod team. I am merely here to bring you how I like my phone setup and give you more options over a base build of the gingerbread genre. My qualifications are inferior to what is required on some of the fixes that were made. Thus I rely on the CyanogenMod Team for their expertise in these fields.
With this being said I'd like to introduce the Evervolv team (the guys who make this rom happen).
bcnice20 (wtf does he do? where is he?? =p, Evo Shift 4G)
milesje (java/android & overall, Evo)
cocide (linux, scripting & overall, Evo, N1)
tpyoknig (web)
deck (noone knows what he does, he's like the evervolv troll, Evo & MT4G)
preludedrew (overall, Evo, Droid Incredible, Hero CDMA, Evo Shift 4g)

This is where i would like to thank all of the donaters to the Evervolv project. Any and all donations are not used for personal use. I have and will only use them for further development. (i.e. Droid incredible, Evo Shift 4G, java and android books). I will be compiling this list and updating it constantly. If you do decide to donate for the furthering of the evervolv project, please leave me your xda ID in the message so I can give you recognition on here.
Your kind sole here.

Alright well it finally built, and booted. Special thanks to ethan.r.besbris for logcatting the original build so i could get it booting! I will update this thread later today/tonight with everything appropriate. This is compiled from source after gingerbread was rolled out to AOSP yesterday. However, this is an alpha and has many items not working. Please be patient, these will get ironed out over a short period. For the question i know will come "What's the difference between this and the other "Dev-Rom's". Nothing so far... but this is compiled from source and can be fixed from there. This is not a port, and will function as a simple bare bones ROM. There is no Google apps just yet (so no contact sync), this will also come with time. I will also be merging gingerbread with the goodies that i started with Evervolv-AOSP (froyo).
With this being said, please feel free to download and get acquainted with gingerbread!
P.S. > Please refrain from posting what doesn't work for a little while. I'm not posting the list of things not working, due to there being quite a few. However, feel free to post anything that will contribute to fixes/temporary workarounds.
Feel free to browse the evo thread, some temp fixes are popping up. I'll be working on this for a good part this weekend. Evo Thread Link
Screenshots will follow later tonight also.
Thanks

I can't try this yet now, but amazing work =] my old comp can't run 64 bit, so I will be depending on other devs for my AOSP. xD
Good work

Yes, can you believe it?? Two Threads!! The ROM is that good ... (Joking)
On a serious note, If you notice, this is a new version, & I will be maintaining the Crespo/Crespo 4g builds from here out, & the old threads will be closed as soon as kejar gets home to do it.
~ Thanks

Hey,
as stated above, the new thread is due to the fact that I will be maintaing the crespo / crespo 4G from now on, & the reason for the kernel switch is due to the fact that Matrix broke functionality in certain areas on the crespo 4g especially. We didn't want to use 2 seperate kernels, & Eugene's kernel is an excellent kernel. Mathkid is hard at work as we speak to try to fix the issues. When he gets the problems solved we may switch back to Matrix, if that's what the majority of you guys want.
In the meantime, hope you enjoy 0.7.7
~Thanks
just asking
which CWM or TWRP are you using guys?

Yes, we have some Gummy Exclusive Themes, & other themes to be ported to the new builds. I'm working with a few themers who are doing themes for Gummy. I have 2 near complete ports. Hopefully this is the last update to the ROM for a few days, & I can catch up with the themes.
Thanks for using Gummy!
Is there anyway to change the stars to actual icons?

Yup but it uses less cpu. Causing music logs, video playback logs etc so i dont recommend it. What gapps did u install? You need to imediately flash gapps when you install your rom. Try reflash your rom without wipe and flash gapps right away.
For lulzactive you can use eugene setting its pretty decent.

[ROM][AOSP][4.0.3] Gummy 0.9.0 - 03/24/12 - The Remodel!

GUMMY, The Remodel!!!
NOTE: “Me” (Hashcode) did not do ANY of the major work on this ROM. I only helped get Gummy on the Droid 4 by providing the device setup and patches to support phone data, hard keyboard, and other Motorola specifics. All credit goes to the Team Gummy Devs below. My goal is to support some of the builds on Kejar31’s behalf, and that’s why I’m posting the thread.

Wow, slick rom.
FFC works!
4g works fine when you switch back to GSM and then to cdma/4glte.
Video chat doesn't work, but that's a minor issue.
Use safestrap to install, read and make sure you understand how to use it, first!!
Still gotta go back to stock rom for my Netflix... but I'm sure that's just a kink with the codecs you guys mentioned.
Looking forward to the 1.0 release!!!!

How is it running for everyone else? I had data issues. Someone mentioned versio. 1.0? Is that coming soon?

I downloaded, adb reboot recovery through the terminal emulator, wiped but keep getting "failed to verify the whole file signature, signature verification failed.
Any ideas?
