[Q] 127mb error after root - Galaxy Tab 8.9 General

ok so i rooted my samsung galaxy 8.9 lte GT-P7320 and now it can't read my internal memory all i get is 127mb instead of 16gb.... found another thread like this where the guy says he fixed it but not how...pls help me

which method did you use? did you use the 7320 method or the i957 method?
if you used the i957 method, did you use method 1 or method 2. if you use method 2, you are flashing a i957 kernel which messes with the memory available for your device.

i used 2nd method here
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1401100
but how to fix it?

yea you used the wrong method. that is for i957 only, not 7320.
do you have a stock rom you can odin back to?

Nope thats my biggest problem

you need to get one of the 7320 guys to pull their kernel for you, and then flash that.

Not really, he cannot access internal SD memory after that.
I have tried to flash CWM Recovery only (to keep stock rom) but it doesn't even go to flashing, just stops at the beginning of the process.
I've got this same problem. After flashing kernel + CWM android see only 127 MB of memory. Did anyone fixed this problem? I'm from Poland to but have 8.9 LTE from Plus.
Try flashing cwm and then superuser.zip

Hi Poisike,
Sorry to wake up a somewhat old thread... Curious if we could look into getting the stock ROM for this tablet again? I have the Tab 8.9 LTE ATT version and need to recover from a soft brick -- I can get into ODIN fine, but don't have anything to flash.
The information you were seeking:
CSCVersion.txt ->
I957ATTKJ7_CL571645
Customer.xml ->
<SalesCode>ATT</SalesCode>
Any help appreciated!

I need to read more, and Samsung needs to use fewer model numbers for the same damned things.

Forum is for Galaxy Tab 2 7" and mine is Galaxy Tab 2 7". Where should I be posting then?

Is there a way you could share your rom with me? This is the original stock rom version I had on my tab 2, but flashed over it without backing up.
Cheers.
I am a little confused on how to check what the firmware is.
Is it the build number as shown in the settings/about phone (attached) or is what Kies state when tab is connected
cheers

My 3113 is semi - bricked since I mistakenly downloaded all my apps stored on Google from my SGS3 and my Epic (my bad) . I no longer have navigation buttons and I need to wipe and restore to stock. Where please can I find the stock rom? Also, can I use 3 series Odin or do I need to get 1.85 or 1.87?

Just received an OTA update on my 3113, but could not install it as it does not work with CWM recovery.
Based on the info message, it's 4.0.4 based + some app updates.
Base on the files inside the update, version should be P3113UEBLG2.

(I think) if your not rooted the ota update should self install. You can't flash an ota through CWM but can through Odin.

Kies Issue with Updating

Hi guys.
Been a while since i posted but here is the situation:
My friend has a s5830 and its still on froyo! 2.2.1. Completely stock (not even rooted). She asked me to help as when plugged into kies it says:-
"devices firmware not supported to update via kies"
its shows firmware version kb7 kb1 kb6 (h3G)
Now i know i can flash using odin (know my way around an ace like the back of my hand) but she doesnt want me to do that. All im trying to find out is why Kies says this?
Any ideas?
Thanks in advance!
Is it an open sim galaxy ace because I had the same problem with it
don't blame me it wrote itself

If you mean sim unlocked then yes. She just tried another carrier sim card and it worked.
how did you resolve this?
There isn't a way to solve that issue as far as I no, the open sim mobiles get updated last or rarely updated so I had to update manually through Odin

Beven using it since it same out so bit bored of it to be honest. But your right its more stable / functional.
There's a new apocalypse rom due to come out with in the next couple of days its already been tested and sounds good so far I'm going to flash it as soon as its out

Screw stock roms. Flash CM 7.2 stable (download from CyanogenMod official site) and you will have GB 2.3.7 with tons of options and features. Everything works in that rom and after flash is fully working, no need to do anything. Better than this? Hope you find a solution. Bye

In need of stock firmware

I have looked on the internet for modem, boot loader, and firmware G920TUVS5EQA2 to flash in Odin. Unfortunately I have been unable to find it. Help would be appreciated
Here:
https://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/download/122244/G920TUVS5EQA2_G920TTMB5EQA2_TMB/
Since that will be rather slow without a membership you can also start further back, maybe with EPF1 (or EPK5 if you can find it hosted elsewhere), and let the phone update via OTA.
