I like the white one. As you said, it gives more of a premium feel. The metal frame also looks much better in the white version than in the black one.
On the other hand, the display looks better when turned off in the black one.
The front part of the phone is of glass so it will not catch much dust. One thing is that the back scratches easily if you drop your phone a lot and this shows a lot more in white than in black.
I have the black one and i like the color i use it with a matte screen protector so no fingerprint problem on the front side and the back cover is not like a glossy black so both sides no problem.
I also like the white one but the aluminium frame is grey (as you would expect but not the glossy aluminium grey) as in the black one the frame is painted black like the rest of the phone giving it a smoother look.
I like my choice and i would recommend the black one but watch out if the frame paint gets damaged by a fall it will look awful.

Does anyone know if the U.S. carriers, or specifically ATT / T-Mobile, sell the White Nexus 6 ? I saw the Blue Nexus, and it looks ok on the front and back, but not digging the purplish looking trim sides, which much prefer those to be aluminum color like on the White.
Or can skins like from DBrand or Slick Wraps cover those up ?
I know it doesn't really help you too much, but I work in a Corporately owned Sprint store and we do not carry the white Nexus 6.
Skins such as Slick wraps on the side can cover it up. Only U.S. Cellular sells White Nexus 6. Everybody else is Midnight Blue unless you get it from Motorola / Play Store (or eBay/Craigslist/Swappa as well)
US Celluar is the only carrier with the CW model. I don't know if you can buy it from them W/O service but you could always try to.
Also a skin can cover up the blue back, but you still have the blue frame as opposed to the silver one. SW makes frame skins to cover up most of it.

I don't think there are silver buttons, only champagne gold that goes with all the leather colors except black, and gunmetal that goes with the black leather and charcoal plastic. They're all part of a sub-assembly that includes the contacts to the back panel functions.

Hey dude, I found the rear buttons in champagne gold, silver/grey, and white. Search "Genuine LG G4 H815 Black Rear Button - ABH75379601" on eBay. I can't post links because I'm new! - Hope this helps.

No real fix, but you can use an aluminum bumper, I have one, got it from ebay, luphie brand, it is really thin, well made , looks good
