The class is the speed you can write and read on the card. Class 10 supports speed up to 10 MB/s while class 2 can only do 2 MB/s
One more thing that card is a fake, nowadays Ebay is full of fake cards.
The genuine have a Serial number printed at the Front, the fakes don't have real 32 gb you can test with H2testw
[edit] here's a real one HERE for 22.99£

This one you posted is class 6 the pics are of a class 4.Amazon type as usual

You can change the size that you want to buy of the card.
Just be sure to get Sandisk, adata or transend i think those are the best but a Ultra Sandisk is even better.

Yeah, Amazon does that a lot, I can't complain though..they gave me a free 1 month Prime membership and also no tax on most merchandise.
And thanks for the advice, I will consider an Ultra SanDisk. But I'm having difficulty finding "SanDisk 8GB Ultra MicroSDHC Class 6" on most shopping sites. 4GB and 16GB mostly shows up or other brands such as A-Data and TranScend but no 8GB Ultra Class 6 for SanDisk. I will keep looking.

Class 10 sd cards

Does the G1 support class 10 sd cards?
Also, using a custom rom, can I partition the card so that a 32 gb sd cards works?
You obviously know something nobody else knows about... where to get a 32GB class 10 uSD card..... link please?

But to answer your question sjbayer3, I'm not sure if the G1 supports it.

Good luck jamming that into a uSD slot.
Its about 4 times too large, physically.
LOL.... I love these threads every few months.
The keyword you have missed OP, is the word micro. Micro carries a LOT of meaning.
either way you guys have been pretty pathetic with answering the questions:

my bad on the micro part... yes class 10 sd cards exist... im unsure if a micro sd class 10 exists

Nobody really knows the answer to your question. I'm guessing mostly because the 32gb microSD cards are almost worth as much as the dang phone itself. In the meantime, you can buy one and try it....if it works let us know as well.
On every search that I ran on google everyone keeps saying that the G1 doesn't support them.
the g1 should work with all SDHC cards 4gb - 32gb when it comes out

But still nobody will know because they'll probably be like 150 bucks
You could always buy one and see for yourself, I have not heard someone do it yet, but maybe you can and report back to us what you find out
Remember that sdcard and micro sdcard are DIFFERENT...
I ordered one for my hero, if it doesn't work, I'll put it in my camera. It's backordered at the moment... I'll update. I'm pretty sure that the G1 and Hero have the same SD compatibility (2.0) and I think that the class 10 is SD 3.0... so I have doubts
well, i have a class 10 16gb MicroSD Card in my Leo and it's working fine.
Also i have 2 more 16Gb cards (1 x Class 4 and 1 x Class 2), between the Class 2 and Class 4 i don't notice the speed difference when playing around on the phone but i do indeed notice the improvement in speed when using the class 10 one, so my guess is Class 10 will most likely work fine in all HTC phones using that slot form.

[Q] Does 32 GB class 10 Memory Cards Compatible with the HD7

Hello Every Body,
Can any body please confirm if the class 10 32 gb memory cards such as Kingston or A-Data are compatible with HTC HD7.
I read here before in XDA that only the class 2 cards from Scandisk are only the one that are compatible with the windows phone 7 devises.
But in this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=10354934
dorianmuthig says that class 4 cards are compatible also.
So my Questions are:
1- Are Kingston or A-Data or other brands are compatible with the HD7 (because I already have 32 gb class 10 A-Data memory card)?
2- Are class 4 or above classes are compatible also?
Thanks in advance and I appreciate if any body can clear these inquiries for all to be benefited.
There is no such thing as a class 10. and as i have read at multiple places only class 2 sandisk cards have been confirmed working. everything else doesnt work this means class4 etc...

Thanks nuclear for replay,
for your information there is a class 10 32 gb memory card
I hope that some body who tries higher classes than class 2 tells us his experiment
Apparently there is class 10 (16 and 32gb) cards available. http://www.google.com/search?sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8&q=class+10+32+gb+microsd But, from what has been discussed class 2 are the only ones that have been confirmed to work properly (not decreasing boot times and app launching times). So, I would be cautioned to buy one until there is more definitive information as they have to be pretty expensive.

Oops, my bad. Mis-stated that one. Class 2 is all that's confirmed. For some reason i was thinking the tutorial to change it to 32 gb was using a class 4. Slap me
It seems that we should wait for some time to be sure
And if any body try other classes higher than class 2, please inform us withj the results
It may work, however since Kingston and A-Data use Sandisk or Samsung manufactured cards with a secure digital storage controller optimized for fast sequential read and write, small file access may actually be slower than in a comparable Class 2 card. Those fast cards are made for video recording and high resolution photography which isn't what Windows Phone 7 OS needs. You need to look at 4K random read, 512K random read/write and sequential write.
Get either a Sandisk SDSDQM-032G-B35 (definitely works) or SDSDQM-032G-J35A (current manufacturing cycle, promises faster speeds and lower power consumption, still rare)
kingston class 4 = does NOT work.
sandisk class 2 = works (same speeds as the kingston though!)
thats as far as i tested.

SanDisk class 4 has just been released and is available on Amazon for $100. I am getting a class 2 which is tested and confirmed working. The class 4 if it works should be much faster.
Sandisk SDSDQM-032G-B35 was not working properly on my HD7. Slow, freezing, crashing, and sometimes not detected card. All kinds of bad behavior. The original 16 GB card was sent back into the phone, now every thing works OK.

Yes but i have a question. I have a 16GB kingston class 2 sd card. Where do you actually see the difference in speed?

Well the difference is the speed of the read/write, with class 2 its possible of speeds around 2mbps i think where as a higher class card is capable of much higher which is good when transfering files (especially custom ROM's) to the phone. Also browsing through music tahts on the SD is faster.

I ordered Lexar 32gb class 10 microSD card from Lambdatek in the UK.
Took a while to get here, but they had the best prices, and the SD card is really worth all the money. Getting read / write spead at 18 / 10 mb/s
A big improvement over my former class 2 SD card and works great for full HD video recording, which was what I was going for.

Hello ,

i found Lexar 32GB Micro SDHC High Speed Card with Reader - Class 10 Extreme Speed
now i would like to know which one is better
Speed / brand / stands longer
don't mind the price

please help ASAP
I have been using that exact Lexar card you referenced for several months. I used it first in a Galaxy S3, and then moved it over to the Note 2.
I have not had any issues nor corruptions, and have been very pleased with it.
I would buy it again without question!
please of anyone tested both cards tell me
i need to decide urgently
Thanx a lot

about sandisk's bad reviews - a while back they had an ultrabad batch of cards that failed pretty consistently and they gained a bad rap for it - apparently they're better / fixed now, but fwiw, i've had every brand fail on me (literally; patriot, lexar, sandisk etc) but I might be the exception to the usage details as I'm swapping machines all day
My last card was a Lexar 32 c10 and it worked perfectly for over a year. It's now in my wife's G3. I've been using a Sandisk 64 c10 for the last few months and it's also working flawlessly. I think you're fine with either one.
i got the Sandisk 32 class 10
that is the first step to do to start using it now ?
format on computer or plug it to the phone directly ?

You could simply plug it in to the phone (while it's off of course) and format the card within the phone as well
I have done that too as well. I recently bought a 32gb micro sd for my Note2 sgh-i317 and for my gs3 a 64gb micro sd sgh-i747
