[DEVs-only][SOURCES][KERNEL]Kernel sources and ramdisk for Galaxy Y Duos GT-S6102 - Galaxy Y Duos S6102 Android Development

Hi everyone
i'm hoping development for Galaxy Y Duos GT-S6102 will soon pick up pace
I have pushed official SamSung kernel sources to github which you can find here
https://github.com/championswimmer/kCernel-S6120
devs like maroc-OS and vivekkalady are welcome to work on this because the kernel is almost same with GT-S5360 other than some ril, gsm, hspa aspects
also here is the boot.img file file from stock firmware (Kies FUS file)
thanks to Doky73 whose software helped my extract this
http://hotfile.com/dl/153809903/4f31aef/boot.img.html
for getting ramdisk from boot.img use this simple method (for ubuntu)
Code:
sudo apt-get install abootimg
sudo abootimg -i ./boot.img
sudo abootimg -x ./boot.img

update:
stock ramdisk (unpacked) sources have been pushed too

and the cwm recovery?
is that working?
anyone tested?

i dont think this is for rooting purposes... I see only cwm in it.
Flash the CWM-try1.zip it a temporary CWM i.e. after reboot it goes back to stock recovery.
Here is what happen:
Stock recovery -----> flash zip
Brings you to the CWM 5.02 recovery menu
reboot
reboot to recovery again -------> back to stock recovery img
Flashing files seems to work with the temporary CWM

Maybe because we are all GT-S5360 users and jealous that development is moving quick for GT-S6102
If you help us with GT-S5360 then you will get 1000+ thanks in less than a month, guaranteed!!

you guys already have fabulous devs here....much better than me...
what will i do by increasing the dev crowd?
I'll rather develop for Duos, Pro and Pro Duos which have not a single dev....
btw do you guys have fully/partially working cm7? and cm9? and do you have any AOSP rom here?
i could try my hand on them... I'm good a making things from source...porting and cooking is not my favourite thing

How do I build cm9 from source?

Ok I synced the cm9 repo to build a clean install of cm9 for the o2x but our device didn't seem to be in the list of available builds. Is there a guide anywhere for building cm9 for o2x, or could someone point me in the right direction?
Cheers!

Can anyone compile this ICS kernel with a better touchscreen driver?

The touchscreen element of this kernel doesn't appear to be working correctly so i would be very grateful if someone could decompile and recompile with the touchscreen driver from another ICS kernel. Thanks

How can I extract kernel from a ROM?

Hi,
How can I extract a kernel from a ROM?
Thanks
Sent from my GT-N7000 using xda app-developers app
what rom? stock? The use 7z to open the tar file and you will see zimage=kernel.
In cwm flushable roms, zimage as well when you open the zip
I knew this. The problem is it does not have zimage in the rar file. It has 2 folder only and a bootimage file.
It is paranoid android v 2.5
It am not sure its kernel is exactly the cm10 kernel or a modified one by imilika but whatever it is, it is very good.

it has to be in the boot image then

[Q] Kernel Replace Problem

Hello every one, I'm a newbie here.
Yesterday,I compiled the kernel source of CM10.1.0.
Compiler: arm-2009q3
and it't fine to get it done.
but when I replace the Kernel to boot.img, and flash it via recovery,
It is all fine,But when I reboot my ace,I it can't boot.acturally it reboot constantly.
What should I do??
Was it isn't compatible??
or any others?
I simple replace the zImage to kernel of boot.img .(of course I rename it).
Is it some thing I forgot to do??
Sorry for my English.
I got the source from there.
bieltv.3's rom : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2199575
kernel source: https://github.com/androidarmv6/android_kernel_samsung_msm7x27
It is from the rom's thread.
use other compiler tool
2011
or use the one of androidarmv6 prebuilts
Sent from my S500 using xda app-developers app
OK,I will try it the other days,But i don't think it's the key.
Was it somethink wrong with the stage of replace the kernel from boot.img directly??
