...most dumb post I've ever seen in the last months.
I really trying to raise the user experience of users by spending a lot of time and effort in those mods....and I'm doing a lot of mods as you can see in my signature.
Well you can believe it or not, I dont just spent hours on those mods, more like days and weeks. On my leedroid tweaks project even months.
..and I'm doing this for fun and SHARE it with YOU for FREE!
So what the problem when I just put one rule up for DEVS and THEMERS to wait a t least on week before including it?
On that way I can ensure some activity in my threads and not to lose all users by day one, because all are kanging me on day two?

Dumb? Asking people to wait a week to get permission to use your work and you call me dumb? Yea request they ask your permission and give you credit for your hard work but wait a week! Man people like you is what's wrong with xda and no dumb leechers in here. The guy posted and stated it wasn't his work and direct linked to your thread. No problem with that at all. All he did wrong was provid file on download. He was tryna to help not leech. There is a major difference

I don't have an attitude, and develop my rom for my pleassure....
I don't need users, this is made to make MY phone look nice, and if other people like it, they are free to use it.

lol if you didnt need users why be a dev on here and make your rom public? you would just keep it for your own private consumption period. the mere fact it is here on xda means you crave that following that comes from users liking your work and thanking you for it! i like your work but wont kiss ass because i do! if you posted something i didnt like id tell you same way! you must have had people who didnt like your work but you didnt stop all dev cause of it did you? we are adults in here and this childish attitude is not acceptable.

S-Off and Unbricking Project

Some things you might see around the thread
Hope this is gonna be very very educational for people too. Unbricking always is some sort of a mystery for many and if you send off your phone to some stranger on ebay, you usually don't get an idea about the "Hands On" and gettin' dirty bit of tearing down a phone and actually make it look nice and work properly again afterwards.
So, maybe we will even have some photos or videos and stuff and just give you an idea of how that all works...

I think this is great and all but I have one question.
How would a single riff box provide all of us with s-off? JTAG is a great skill to have but if there is only one riff box its not going to benefit the rest of the community for s-off. We need a s-off solution that wont require all of us to buy special hardware to achieve it.

I did read your op. And the title says s-off and unbricking project.
so if this for just unbricking or both?
My point is its a little misleading. JTAG is awesome for unbricking but if this is going to be an s-off project also the average user should understand the risks of JTAG for s-off. Like it requires the phone to be taken completely apart and then flashed. And hopefully put back together correctly.
I changed the digitizer on my og evo and swore i'd never try it again. I'm not knocking what your trying to accomplish I just think the rest of the community should be aware of what jtag entails.

so if you read the OP you would understand that i am offering free jtagging service to those who donate / users who have a 300+ post count for use once unit is received
if you dont understand what the service is capable of don't knock it
I also don't expect every john and jane doe to send me their phone just to get s-off thats ridiculous and also CLEARLY stated in the op....
it sounds like you read the title skimmed the paragraph and are now asking why i think this is a good idea?
1) To service high end users who want the freedom of their device and don't care about warranty as it is invasive
2) to offer a free alternative for xda users who are paying sites like mobiletechvideos 40-50$ for s-off service
3) to give something back
4) to offer brick repair to a site that has always been there to help me esp to those n00b users who just flash whatever and brick their unit
I also was a cell phone repair tech for 2x years and have quite extensive knowledge in this field
just wanted to share is all

i'm in for that - i'll follow the forum and look for other takers. I love beanstown roms (note 3 here)

Let's make some things clear.
We generally allow bounty threads under some conditions. The most basic one is that none developer can go ahead and make a new thread asking for donations/devices (for example, saying "Donate to me to make -put_sth_here-"), the source of the demand must be the community and not individuals. Sometimes that's hard to judge but as the time goes it gets easier. The receiver must be a member with valuable contributions to the site, must be aware and must make his intentions clear in the thread.
Xda has no responsibility about what happens to your money. The donations are volunteer and it is up to you to decide who you can trust. Donate at your own risk.

Also any concerns with me not staying as an active developer should be taken with a grain of salt my nexus finally died so I do actually need a tablet. And the tab s or tab pro are what I'm thinking about. I will obviously throw in a few hundred myself but financially I can't afford 500. Suzook confronted me about making this thread and I said sure if he didn't confront me I probably would have just kept my tab pro I got on sale for 250 @ best buy.

I'll join in on the thanks. XDA members have saved my ass and my phone a number of times. I have learned an incredible amount thanks to XDA and have been fortunate to be able to help a few people as well. It's a great community. All the drama just makes it that much more interesting. Sometimes.

Porting Sony Xperia z rom

Would any dev be interested in porting over the xperia rom from Sony? I got $100 for a fully ported, and stable xperia rom. Any takers?

I don't think the bounty will help. .if someone wants to do.it, they will. If someone doesn't want to do it, its a lot of work involved for $100..very under paid work.

Well i dont think that 100$ is enough IF you spend lets say- 50+hours on a port. But thats just my opinion.

The work done for free is done by people who enjoy it. They do it because they want to. If someone wants to do it, they will.
If someone doesn't want to do it, a bounty of $100 doesn't come anywhere close to being a big enough incentive for the amount of time and effort it will take.
