WARNING regarding the OTA update - Galaxy Tab 10.1v Android Development

Hey guys, do not flash the OTA update manually with CWM, it bricked my tab an will most likely brick yours too.
Make sure your tab is stock 3.0.1 and wait patiently.

To clarify, I'm taking about the OTA zip from Google, not the cwm backup.

Off course yunshouldnt flash OTA update with CWM!
IT WILL BRICK YOUR TAB!

Is this what I should do:

Tbh it's not such a crazy thing to think that the OTA was ok to flash with CWM.on the galaxy nexus that was fine to do.
But I learned my lesson and I'm starting to understand the reasons why

Just wondering if anyone has had any success in unbricking their tab yet. I was reading through old forum posts and there was a thread where fricorico had flashed a transformer rom and couldn't load fastboot or download mode. He said that he managed to get his tab into apx mode and could then eventually get the tab back up and running.
I can't post a link because I'm on the xda app but our forum isn't too big to find it and try. Also, not sure what or how to get into apx mode though so this post may be literally useless to most people. But maybe someone knowledgeable will remember something as a result.

I've brought mine to repair already. Nvflash doesn't work because our chip is locked with a special key. I've looked up a lot of things already when isi's tab bricked.

Waiting for the damn thing to discharge fully to see if I can get out of the APX loop..

It's definetly possible to fix it!
I had this problem when I've flashed 10.1 rom on 10.1v.

if your 3 button combo is notworking how can you flash stock?
Burn it on a CD and try to stick it to the device? I think it would not work..... at all...

Reflash the recovery again and if nothing works, use the AIO-Kit (one of the first threads here)
But, this should be posted in the TWRP thread or Q/A section.

Goodmorning, still the same, also rom manager detect that currently I have TWRP when in fact I have CWM.
Oh, and I tried a while ago to view all devices and I can see p4, can I use that?
Edit: I think why rom manager doesn't display p4 on my device is because it detects it as p7500 and not p4. I could be wrong.

It should be detecting both gt-p7500 and p7500 as the p4 now. Give it a go.
I installed CWM 5.xx on my P4 (GT P7500) via Odin and since then I have flashed and updated through the successive updates until the current one 6.0.3.0. I have never had a problem with it, not once did Odin failed me. Furthermore, it is not a requisite that you must install Rom Manager before you can install CWM Recovery. I do not have Rom Manager installed on my device. If Rom Manager is not working for you, why don't you spend a little time to master the use of Odin, you will save yourself a ton of trouble, stress and time.
Cheers!

As a matter of fact I read through the entire thread before I posted my reply. Can't remember seeing 'bursted cable' being the reason you prefer not to use odin otherwise I would have suggested mobile odin, even though I have not used it so far; or that you changed your cable. Failed fastboot to ICS from JB

Hey everyone,
So I messed up big time here: I recently got the JB update, rooted, and messed with something I should not have (without backing up) and ran into a boot loop.
I attempted to fastboot back to ICS, and it obviously failed while flashing. (now I realize that was a mistake, I knew you could not fastboot from GB -> ICS, so I do not know why I did not realize the same with JB -> ICS)
I know there is no fastboot files for JB yet, which makes unbricking my phone an issue.
Does anyone have any solutions on how I can unbrick my phone? (there is a solution for the razr, but I doubt that it would work for me)
Any help at all would be appreciated.

[Q]noob alert, samsung mini 5570i bricked or?

Hello everyone.
i think I have problem. I try to search the forums for my answer but no luck so i decided to open new thread.
p.s. sry for bad english
I got samsung 5570i and I rooted it.
I used rom manager to install recovery.
Today i tryed to flash a custom rom (this one http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2132503)
And now im stuck in bootloop
Then i try to unbrick my phone using this method (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2226030) but no luck. I can't enter to recovery menu or bootloader. Odin and fastboot cant recognize device.
I didn't know there is a difference between pop and pop plus. Looks like I have pop and I flash pop plus rom
Can I save this phone or its totally bricked?
thx
Rom manager... It's bricked. Read before flashing, your phone can live longer.

Next time read something before you do something.
You expect such application will run in a old device ? Dude, our phone (Galaxy Mini, both plus or normal) isn't a instant-one-click-to-do. You must do the hardwork yourself.
So bring it to Samsung Service Center and wait them to unbrick your damn phone.... uh... i don't understand why people keep doing same mistake in a same loops ? Why they don't read ALL goddamn thread about ROM Manager can brick your phone... uh... lazybutt.
Ok, chill man
