[ROM]V20Q flashable zip, 100% stock[updated:mediafire] - LG Optimus 2x

Hy everybody,
I saw that in the latest method of flashing kdz, the flash tool extracts kdz, by partitions, and of course ext3 partitions.
So i simply made a flashable zip, with untouched ext3 partitions from v20q.kdz.
THIS IS 100% FACTORIAL STOCK:
-you have to root
-wipe data and cache NOW NOT NEEDED(built in format /system /data /cache)
-100% factorial stock kernel included
-baseband and recovery will not be changed
-if you have bootloop, try to flash backtoext3 first

Thanks a lot, I wanted to try the latest stock + tweaked kernel to compare, I have CM7 since September and I miss a couple of features (HDMI resolution, DivX).
Unfortunately the fine server you chose to host blows, it says "Only files that you personally uploaded can be downloaded"... is it a region discrimination? if no then why did you chose such lame server.
Psst, rar the file and split it half, then use mediafire or use http://minus.com/ If you want I can mirror the file as soon as I get ahold a copy
--------------------------------------------
Thank you as promised a new mirror as soon as the download finishes.
I recommend this kernel, because I know, stock always sucks.

can not be lowered sorry

For me stock kernel is the best one. I have bug with guestekrnl, when i change built in oc tool, it changes something, but when i leave a tab, and i go back it gets back to default. It does not save my settings.
With the stock browser i only had speed problems in scroll, i think it is due to flash player and low vm heapsize. i am working on it.
And more one... i uploaded to more one mirror. this was my last upload. with a small change.

Is it a full wipe?

Just to make sure, in order to root this, do I follow the epic Gingerbread Rooting for Dummies from TrymHansen?
Or do we have a newer method of rooting Gingers?

SuperonClick should work now, and another one I cannot remember the name of. However, since you've followed the guide before it's probably the quickest option. (I mean, root using app, install cwm from android takes longer than installing cwm from nvflash and rooting from there.)

Thanks...
I just flashed one part , it seems working properly ?

Maybe today, or tomorrow, i will release my SmartKitchen tool. Everybody will be able to make his own rom. With a lot of chooseable item like tweaks, or mods.
Is there anybody who interested in it?
It is released now. Everybody who would like to include root in the update package can build an own update.zip.

Hello thank you for this rom.
Could you provide a similar zip file for v20r? http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1591801
The CWM version linked in that topic has been modified.

I also

I need Vietnamese language. Could you please make a similar zip file for http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=26329517&postcount=684 ?
Or can you guide me how to make so that I can make the zip file by myself?
Thanks!

After, almost, daily changing roms I decided to flash clean stock gingerbread. I flashed this rom and everything is ok but today I tried to patch PDroid. But unsuccessfully. PDroid said that this "not android rom" or something like that. Then I try to patched Flix123`s rebuild of v20q. Successfully. Does anybody know can I use that patch made by PDroid on rom rebuild by Flix123 with this clean untouched rom? I`m little afraid to do that myself ) Maybe somebody already tried that. Or knows why can`t patch this rom?

I am using this and it works.perfectly !

The 8/9/11 kernel variant from pershoot runs on kg9 with working 3g, but it has a bad battery bug and was dropped from his website. A better version will be released in the next hours. If you cant wait, they asked for p7500 testers on his thread.

[ROM] [2012-01-12] [LA1 V2.2] Sheep ROM - Downloads, Guides, Tipps and Tricks

The Official Part
Everybody is responsible for his Note. If someone bricks his phone with Software or hints out of this thread, it is not my fault.
At least you should take some precautions:
Have an EFS Backup available
Have a CWM Backup available. In case you have to go back suddenly without asking
Have a Titanium Backup. Maybe you have to wipe during flashing. A CWM Backup won't help you, since it flashes the old firmware. Apps and Settings for the new ROM are saved in a Titanium Backup.
What is the Sheep ROM then?
The Sheep ROM is a custom ROM for the GT-N7000 based on Samsung Stock ROMs with the following features:
Deodexed
Zip-Aligned
Pre-Rooted
All apps and feature from Samsung are kept.
(up to 1.2) FM Kernel integrated. The Kernel has CWM 5 and is compatibel to CF Root Kernel (Details: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1342807)
build.prop Tweaks (smoother, better memory management)
System Tweaks (better IO performance)
(Up to 1.2) All OXX and OXA product codes integrated. 64 at the moment
Bat in %
CRT Off
Fully Connect Icons
(Up to 1.2) CWM flashable
(From 2.0) Extended Power Menu
The CWM Manager App from Chainfire is not included. Flash a CF Kernel in case you have no backup from this App. I recommend using this App.
Themes and all this stuff was not touched by me. But since the ROM is fully deodexed, it should be a good base doing this. Feel free to create Themes for this ROM or modify it as you like!
Downloads
http://78.46.48.107/
Installation
Up to V1.2:
Flash it per CWM. I recommend the CWM App from Chainfire:
Copy the ROM to the internal SD
Start the CWM Manager
Chose "Flash Update"
Select the Sheep ROM
Acknowledge
You can flash the ROM also directly from CWM. Reboot into Recovery and select:
"install ZIP from SD Card"
"choose ZIP from internal SD Card"
select the Sheep ROM Zip
Acknowledge
V2.x:
V2.x and ongoing are TAR files for Odin. They were mainly created to overcome the root issues of KL7 and later Firmware. The archive contains a Stock kernel in order not to increment the binary counter.
Download Sheep V2.x and extract the RAR File. You should see one or more TAR files
Switch off Note and boot into Download Mode
Start Odin and connect Note to PC
Add the Sheep TAR Files as PDA, Modem, CSC in Odin (see Odin flash guidelines if you are in doubt)
Press "Start"
Flashing will take 3 to 4 Minutes in both cases. The first boot will take up to 5 Minutes (it is a deodexed ROM).
Happy Flashing.
Thanks! Can I flash using Mobile Odin?
Flashed with cwm recovery. Super smooth looks like everything works.
Thanks

The App was intentionally skipped. I appreciate Chainfires work, therefore you should flash the original Chainfire Kernel in order to fetch the App.
Great job! I was waiting for someone to cook up a ROM.. What is the 2.3.6 base for this rom, KKA or KK9?

KKA. I tried both, but KKA was a little bit smoother.
That's what I thought already. But after pushing the cwm apk it works as if I have his kernel already. Just without any limitations.
I don't understand how it's possible, but I'm not complaining.

If you go to the SGSII theres a program you can use to do it.... Or just copy the EFS folder somewhere. Ideally on your computer in addition to on your SD card, just in case the you loose everything on your phone, including the internal storage.

[NANDROID] Stock Froyo 2.2.2

FOR OLD BASEBAND ONLY! OF COURSE! :silly:
Hi guys.
When i had purchased my phone, i took a Nandroid backup after rooting & shedding useless LG Bundled apps.
Since many people are afraid of KDZ and many didn't take a backup at earlier stage before getting into custom ROMS, i thought i'd share my backup.
This is Stock Froyo 2.2.2, v10E, Old Baseband.
Tried & Tested only with CWM.
Very basic Instructions :silly:
1> Download via link
2> Extract and copy paste the folder into SD Card, anywhere. [DO NOT RENAME IT]
3> Backup stuff etc.
4> Enter CWM
5> Wipe all stuff etc.
6> Backup & Restore > Restore. It should show up that folder, just tap yes and wait.
7> You have your stock Froyo back.
This is ROM lacks almost all features you have been used to and i am not a developer so asking me to add something will be useless. Just enjoy the stock feel & the BEST CAMERA ON OPTIMUS ONE!

BTW, why did you want to buy an outdated tab that Samsung washed its hands of a long long time ago?
Cheers,
UITA

Sweet stuff! Going to try this, will come back with feedback
Good! I'll give it a try ... Can you provide a flashable from recovery zip?
I'm not a ROM developer so forgive me for noob questions ... Why did it take so long porting official jb from p6800 to p6810? And why no one else did it before?

Seems to perform really well. No major hiccups a reboot hasn't been able to cure. Great work.
By the way, is the brickbug fixed?

Works great, do not believe it, but it was enough to just change the mount points in the initramfs (...blk0p10 etc..). I have compiled the kernel from source of p6800 with this initramfs and everything works fine.. Try to use this ramdisk for your kernel..

Thanks for that.
I will be purchasing a Note 3 (sm-n900 Octa international) when I return home in a few weeks (selling SGS4). I will be keeping this tab, but passing it to my 9yo son to enjoy.
First I need to set up my build environment from scratch (Ubuntu update screwed up) taking a little time, but rest assured, I will be compiling and releasing a SkyHigh kernel for this port. I have some more tweaking and changes to do, so hopefully there will be a few kernel releases yet for both P6810 & P6800 JB MD3 kernels
I enjoy the challenge and headache

JB kernel from official 4.1.2 source or firmware is not affected by "brick-bug".
Edit: if coming from ICS, do not factory reset from with stock android recovery or unpatched ICS kernel. Wipe AFTER flashing this JB ROM.

If you flash, it wipes anyway - I think.
It's amazing how much smoother JB is...
The old firmwares were all junk.

Extract the RAR file using WinRAR. There's a TAR file inside it.
Excellent! Can't wait to try this...
Does this mean we can finally use the multi window mod?

Simple. Stock rom, zipaligned and rooted. Will add some goodies later.
Note: Devs ARE FREE to use this as a base to update their roms. No need to ask. No need to PM. Nothing. I don't even really care if you give credit or not since it's just a stock rom. Have fun :good:

Yes, this is a full, flashable rom. As for Knox, this does not include the new firmware so there is no Knox to be tripped once you flash this.
Even if you ARE on the new firmware though, you have already tripped your Knox flag to 0x1 just by flashing a custom recovery, so flashing this rom will be an after-the-fact matter anyway.
Omg thank you Cnexus!!

Your the man CNexus thanks so much buddy
Thank you so much, Once you pull the firmware from an OTA device, would it be a just firmware patch flash, or would it be integrated in the rom and have to reflash the rom? Coming from HTC and we were able to just flash firmware separated from rom. Don't want to assume it's the same for samsung. Thanks again
Nice brohta, thank alot man

Unfortunately we cant get firmware flashable right now its a patch update so theres no way get a flashable firmware without having to change the boot chain buddy ill give it a month or 2 and we will have a flashable firmware to use but its all in the rom as of right now

I'm sure someone will come up with the flashable for that soon. When they do, it will just be the firmware, not an entire rom since they are independent of one another.

We CAN make a firmware flashable, it will just be more tedious than pulling from the OTA.zip like before. The firmware partitions from a 4.3 OTA'ED device will need to be pulled using su and dd like so:
Code:
su
dd if=/dev/block/<firmwarePartition1> of=/sdcard/firmware1.img
dd if=/dev/block/<firmwarePartition2> of=/sdcard/firmware2.img
...
And so on for the rest of the firmware
Because once the OTA'ED device boots up again, it will have the patched firmware, so we can just grab it from there and make a flashable. Just one more step really since they decided to patch instead of updating.
Ok I will get that for you buddy so you can do what you do best

I just tried to install on a clean wipe on twrp 2.5.0.2 and i got a failed install. MD5 checks out. Just made sure and its a match with the zip on my phone with the MD5 on Android File Host. IDK what's up. I will try with a different recovery and see if that helps.

Could you post the recovery.log? It's in /tmp/recovery.log
I think I probably know what the issue is though if it's failing
