I agree totally, have tried Paranoid on my S2 and it's just too teeny for my poor old eyes, however on my note I think it would be just about perfect

Good idea! Especially since the developer doesn't seem to like Ports of his work AFAIK.

we're open for this, dont start a bounty thread. we're doing it for fun, not for money.
what we need is:
- a friendly base for tab mode like cm9 or aosp. not aokp.
- a friendly developer who can compile on his own and whos willing to 1. port paranoidandroid 2. work with us to perfect these features 3. doesnt do it for his own benefit

paranoidandroid is a true hybrid rom, what this means is that you have full freedom over apps, systemapps, framework components like dialogs or navbar and even widgets. the latest hack even allows you to switch seamless between mobile or tablet layout, although that one is not ready yet to be released.

This is a beautiful rom and is perfect for the Note. We need to get this done guys. I'm out of town this week. But I'm going to take myself to school this weekend to learn. We should setup an IRC channel to collaborate.

[MOD] Voodoo improvements for Nexus S: sound + color patches available

Hi dear Nexus S developers and users
I plan to port and develop a lot of sound and screen related stuff for the Nexus S. Using source to extend it not only to the kernel, but also deep in Android system roots.
TODO:
- continue the portable WM8994 sound development. Next step, Parametric EQ.
- a lot about screen colors, first to avoid those purple deviations in dark greys
- a learning & adaptive auto-brightness implementation
- touch screen adjustments (space bar madness!)
Voodoo sound repository - sound patches only branch:
https://github.com/project-voodoo/linux_samsung/tree/nexus-s-voodoo-sound
As I publish only sound patchs on this branch, you'll be able to git pull / git merge it safely, you won't get any garbage from it.
Same for color/screen patches:
https://github.com/project-voodoo/linux_samsung/tree/nexus-s-voodoo-color

EDIT: Spotify sounds AWESOME now. Thanks! Hope this gets implemented in CM ASAP! Also I kinda figured out the options in the control app for myself, so no FAQ necessary =)

This looks gr8 !!!!
Okay so I've flashed this and it all works perfect, the only thing that happens is that it kills my network access for some reason, I've used the theme porter and still get the same thing, there must be a file that needs editing but I wouldn't know where to start, hence the thread. We've seen what Sonny can do with CyanogenMod...
Oke no worth to try for me, maybe the evo version will work ?
Ill try and flash that version....
If this works do be sure to let me know , I seriously want this like I want to win the Lottery lol!
It's the EVO version I flashed, like I said, it works perfect asides what happens to my network when it's been flashed, let me know what happens with you.
Flash did not work for me, it aborted installation
We just have to wait for someone to port this to the DHD
*cries**weeps*
Everything worked fine for me bar not being able to get a mobile signal.
Have you contacted the original creator to ask for a port?

This has already been done incl. permissions from jabberwalkie to 1.72 and 1.84 base and also to CM7. Theme Name is Elegant Blues, since there were too many changes and additions. Some details always look different on AOSP, since for example dialers look way different. The screens in your link are from the CM7 version, the Sense version is a bit different.
Anyway with next update there will come new dialers like these as addons:

}
It's not though is it, granted, it is close, but far too far for my liking, although I will be flashing this until we get MattedBlues 'perfectly' done. Thank though he!
Any ETA on your updated dialers? Can't wait for it

I think what really differentiates these ROMs is the customization. If it's still just stock Touchwiz, I doubt we'd notice any difference.
But good job. Maybe when you have a custom theme or post some screenshots

So this is basically a faster version off stock KL1 or KMM? I really wonder if it is possible to do a stock Google 3.2 for this...touchwiz just messes it up.
Anyway good work though. Seems a bit faster.
Btw...why are you using screenshot er when there a whole button for it?

Who rated this 1 star... Probably some idiot who hasn't even tried it. .__.
Awesome. Thank you to the probably 5 people who tried it actually out of the 396. Thanks.
Sweet. Another 1 star vote. I should just have this thread deleted. Thanks to everyone for supporting me and telling me what to fix. /sarcasm. Maybe I should give up developing since nobody seems to like my ROMs.
Dude you dont need to be pissed off these people, actually the development of the tab roms is getting slow and you are the only one who posted the last two roms, a great job just by posting these thread to keep the development ongoing, probably the one that rated your rom 1 star is 10 year old kid mostly just trolling around.
All the best.
yeah man screw the haters and be patient with all the feedback as that Android 4.0 alpha has taken all the attention lately. Just giver a week or so with the holiday season and all.
Thanks guys. The reason I'm getting irritated at the raters is because it the rating is so low, people are just gonna be like "oh, 2 stars. Nah, I'm not gonna look at it."

If I can get a good kang version I'll use that instead because it has better customization for the rom) ...
The theme is pretty stable though, good battery life too. I just need to adjust some things, get some TW libs to fix compatibility and more on our phone until I'm fully satisfied.
I'm gonna put the port up for devs to add suggestions sometime next week, It'll be on my batakang, here.

MIUI for our beloved N4: finally?

Hey MIUI fanatics out there!
Last night, I stumbled on this post on G+:
https://plus.google.com/103335486449456213484/posts/DHeDAbUeVsQ
The guy clearly runs a full blown android 4.2.2 MIUI rom on his GNex, which is pretty exciting, cuz a port to our device shouldn't be that difficult at this point. Or is it...?
Well, thought I had to share this. Let's keep our fingers crossed...
Regards.

MIUI on any device is like running a port of a port on a port of a port that was ported from a port that only works right 68% of the time. No thanks.
(Sarcasm caution)
What is miui..?
I've seen it mentioned since the nexus s days, never run it on a phone.
Not my thing..
Lol okay obviously I'm the only one who's excited

Bah, i m also looking forward to it!
People here usualy poo-poo MIUI, although they will claim anywhere else that Android=choice... Don't worry too much about this logic issue
OP, if you look at the MIUI forums, they have launched beta builds for Gnex and believe me there are a lot of bugs now. Once, it passes onto stable, someone or I might port it for mako.
Miui is always lagging way far behind Google on Android versions. And the version that they are on is usually very bug ridden. I like it but I hate dealing with major bugs, little bugs don't bother me to much.

Well, I ve tried V5 on the i9000, and it s simply so slow it cannot be used.
I also tried on the i9300, and it is quite nice over there, so there's hope.
But I agree, it is not as fast as a nice aosp/cm 10.1/AOKP ^^.
I like how different it looks, and weither I ll use it for a long time or not, well, let's see!
I d give a spin to iOS if it were ported, just for the sake of running it on the N4, ahha

You should look into the reason they are poo-pooed....they are a china development house and do alot of shady things. But you seem to have the logic part down so you'll not need to Google or anything.
