Cpu temp & mA charging App - Galaxy Note GT-N7000 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Does anybody know of an App that will Display Cpu use battery charge mA and temperature?
I have apps that do some but not all.
Thanks on advance.

temp+cpu v2
displays the temp, the speed the cpu is running and free ram, doesnt disaaly the ma tho

Battery monitor widget by 3c. Displays battery level, voltage, temperature in notifications bar.
It also has battery history, high temperature and voltage, full charge and charge complete alerts.

Perfect system monitor showed promise but does not work on my install

Did you try BMW ?
You need to download notifications separately.

I keep seeing it but thought it was something to do with the car!
What info can it display?

Battery temp, battery level, ma, estimation.

It can display temp, level, ma on notification bar. You do not need to pull it down.

I find BMW really useful for monitoring the battery drain, yet afair Note's chipset does not provide direct mA values, so what BMW does instead is estimate the current based on % of battery usage over time - in other words - those are not exact values, and updates mores frequent than 5 minutes are pointless and waste battery by itself

I am just wanting somthing that will tell me if the battery is still charging after it has reached 100% I had one instance where the battery got hot while full and sitting at Idle which is why I also wanted to see CPU on the battery graph

Is It possible to make MS reads battery 1% by 1% ??????

AS THE TITLE .............. ( for ex. Galaxy S )
No, due kernel limitations (and you cant change that, due locked bootloader). Check older threads, it should be stated somewhere.

Nope.
But it's not too difficult to get an accurate idea of what percent it's at.
Use Battery Monitor Widget which uses very little resources and have it display the mV.
Full battery is 4200mV
Empty is 3200mV
The difference is 1000mV so the math is easy to do in your head.
Say it's at 3900 mV
It's 3900-3200 = 700 which is 70% (do 700/1000% or 700/10)
So, even if the phone tells me 60 or 80%, I know that it's really 70%
To make it even easier, what I really do is I just do 9-2 and add a 0. 70 heh
And if it's 3550 you know its basically 550-200 = 350 which is 35%

It's a good app
BUT
regarding Full battery = 4200mV
My MS when battery is full = 4194mV ( after calibration )
only one single time i saw battery = 4200mV
Is it OK ?????
Yep it's ok
I wouldnt' worry about that too much
Using the voltage to gauge charge state isn't so great because it also drops under load. You can see this using BMW - set it to show two graphs and compare "voltage" with "available". Every time you wake the phone up the voltage drops.
With the extra contacts, the battery pack perhaps has a "coulomb counter" (e.g DS2740) to very accurately track current going both ways. If we can communicate with this chip (or chips) in the battery pack, we can do our own "available" calculations.
Or can we patch the kernel (binary) so it doesn't round off the percentage?

Best Battery Settings NOVA

Hey guys
Recently just got a optimus black and started playing games more, before i had a HTC dream and Magic was able to get 2 days of battery but atm, I'm getting like 4 hours battery playing **** what are the best settings on nova to get the most battery.

+ are there any apps that really help?, using juice defender just with the balanced setting any advanced settings that improve this?
Mainly 2 things consume battery:
a) CPU ~ 15%
b) Screen ~ 80%
For a) you can decrease it by using a good governor for battery, ex: InteractiveX.
For b) it's a matter of having it on the lowest possible brightness you can handle. *
* For example, automatic brightness indoors (low) != minimum brightness, it actually consumes twice the power. Twice.

Thanks for the reply, yeah don't really change brightness so i will do that from now on, also auto uv and underclocking i am going to have a play around with.
Our SoC is already underclocked with SmartReflex.
Further UV won't do much difference.
Oh to easy then.
I bought this phone bcoz of LG advertisment :"NOVA Display automatically adjusts its brightness sensing the amount of light needed, and saves 50% energy under regular settings." (compared to regular LCD). What is the selling point for tat? LG Optimus Black eating battery damn horrible. We like LG Optimus Black including the super-bright NOVA display (LG so proud of it), then why should i need to adjust the bright to lower to save my battery? What's the point???
The point is:
- If you want the brightest screen, and to use a lot the phone with the screen on, it will drain your battery a lot.
Regards.
With CM it's possible to calibrate the auto-brightness values.
I'll try to come up with a good configuration.

Strange battery isue with CM7.2

I'm using temasek's UNOFFICIAL BUILD 130 + temasek default kernel. Every time then my battery percentage reaches 20-30 % phone shuts down. with battery monitor tool i see huge battery percentage drop. then i turn on phone, battery percentage gets back to where it should be (screenshot attached).
is there anyone having same issue and knows how to fix it?
Boot into the recovery menu and wipe the battery stats. Or download the battery calibration app, let your phone charge to 100% and then calibrate it.

thanks for hint. will try.

Wiping battery stats has no effect on the battery life. Diane Hackborn, an Android Developer, has elaborated on this matter on Google+.
I guess you have "Pimp My CPU" running and it is set up to save battery when reached 30% or 20%. It would do so by clocking down CPU, undervolting or both. Your Device seems not to like low Voltage, slow clockspeeds or both and shuts down.
If you have not set up Pimp My CPU yourself, your kernel is maybe set up to do just that.
Set Pimp My CPU up manually to not go to the lowest possible clockspeeds and to not UV.

[Q] app rembers temperature of battery with notification

I recently read that the battery tends to decline in capacity in relation to the temperature at which it is located.
The temperature of the battery increases and decreases depending on our use, ie use the smartphone more and more the temperature increases, the less we use it, and more down, normally.
Is there an app that notifies you that the battery temperature has reached a level harmful? but without this app remains fixed in the status bar, but that only appears at a certain level of the battery.
I apologize for my English, but use google translate because I do not speak English well = (
There is no need for an App. Afaik the battery it self has a mechanism that prevents from overheating.
There are many many apps in the store which show you battery information. I'm sure, there will be some apps which can show temperature in statusbar.

Reduced GPU when battery 20% or lower

Hi. Probably not only me having that issue. When battery goes to 20% or lower smarthphone reduces it's GPU power and battery usage. Games became inplayable. I tried to find right settings and fix it but without a result.
I tried to switch off that Battery Optimilization (google-> "How to turn off battery optimization on Huawei devices" (I'm a new user and cannot post links) but with no improvement.
Is there any way to fix it? Must be some fabric setting.
