Wallpaper size 7.7 tab - Galaxy Tab 7.7 Themes and Apps

What must be exactly wallpaper size for tab 7.7 so that the whole picture would fit to screen. Size for lock screen and background are different I think.

I do not know too

Awsome
Well I think they are full hd.

I use multi picture live wallpaper on my Tab and Note. It allows you to have a different wallpaper for each screen. But most important is that you can use wallpapers of your own that you can size in portrait or landscape layout that fit all the screen with the whole picture.

Yes multi picture walpaper is a must have, also i recommend wallbase walpapers, it has some really nice high quality papers

I downloaded Multi picture wallpapers and it only fit the wallpaper in landscape mode. Is it possible to fit the wallpaper in both landscape and portrait mode? and how can i do if it's possible?

Could not help you on portrait mode as i only use it in landscape mode

1920 x 1408 i think...if you want really nice wallpapers, check out PicSpeed. I get some really nice high quality ones using that

1280x1280 works best for me. I do the cropping on my computer so the wallpapers are ready for my tab.

7.7 wallpaper size
For Galaxy tab 7.7 wallpaper size should be 1280 X 800

There is a setting in launcher pro that you can keep the wallpaper centered. Its in appearance settings > disable wallpaper scrolling. This way you can make a wallpaper for the res of a single screen
Im trying to make a wallpaper so its optimized for 3 screens

Well take the screen resolution of the captivate 480x800 and then just triple width. Adjust as needed as you test. Pretty simple math.

Well just try something and then see the results and then adjust accordingly
it's be awesome if you could change the shape of the crop piece in the wallpaper picker
then you could have 3 different backgrounds.
I have found that an image of 960 x 800 pix is the best resolution for the wallpaper cropping tool no matter how many home screens l am using. my guess is you wil want to play with your image until it looks right at that resolution on three home screens.
Number of Screens Does Not Matter
It is my understanding that the number of screens you have has no effect on the resolution of the wallpaper.
The only thing that changes is the rate of scrolling. The more screens you have, the slower the scroll rate, fewer screens increases the scroll rate.
That said, there is no specific resolution for a 3 screen layout vs. any other number of screens.
The phone's (general) optimum resolution for wallpaper is about 960 x 800. So any photo or picture will fit best on the phone if you pre-configure it to that size.
Of course it's best to start with a photo that is larger than that and then either crop it down or resize it to the smaller 960 x 800 dimensions. Increasing the size of, or zooming, a smaller photo up to the optimum 960 x 800, will usually degrade the quality (and clarity) of it.
While 960 x 800 is considered optimum, you can put other sizes on the phone too...you'll just lose a small portion of it, or blank space will be added depending on how you use the wallpaper crop box.

If you're asking for the size of the wallpaper as width × height, it's 960 × 800.

No I do not mean. in Rom there is an apk where you can cut the size of the background image. if I'm doing a photo and go on to use as background. then a cutout window is where I can zoom the size of what is to be used as background. I can not cut the entire screen but only one part. but there are roms with Sense 3.5 with which the entire screen is used.
Pixelfreak
if i understand what you are asking, then you must use another ROM with sense 3.0 +, because your seems cannot use the whole picture...

Potrait wallpaper

Hi guys!
My english isnt the best but ill try.
What size should my wallpapers be if I want to use them in potrait mode? Every pic i put as wallpaper gets zoomed in and look like crap!
Sent from my GT-N7000 using Tapatalk
they should be 1600 (horizontal) by 1280 (vertical) that will give you a scrolling wallpaper for several screens. If you don't want the wallpaper to scroll between screens then just use 800 (horizontal) by 1280 (vertical) for a static wallpaper that stays in place while your icons scroll over it.
It is hard to find images that are 1280 deep. I usually look for pictures that have dimensions that ends with ________ x 1400, then just crop them.

No, it's 2160x1920, not the original full HD resolution.
The wallpapers on my thread was disabled due to "thread stealing" by another forum...sadly...but you can search on Google that resolution, or trying to resize an high resolution image to 2160x1920...

What the size to resize to and easiest way to do it?
The easiest way to get wallpapers on the screen the way you want them (without cropping) is to download a free Play Store app called Image 2 Wallpaper: https://play.google.com/store/apps/...SwxLDEsImNvbS5zaGlyb2Jha2FtYS53YWxscGFwZXIiXQ..

Just times the width (1080) by two = 2160 for a perfectly fitted scrolling wallpaper.

Thanks I'll give it a go. I really just want to have 1080 wide images and set them non scrolling on the screen, full width. The stock wallpaper selection drives me mad. It opens Album and I can't seem to even control which photos to use (eg, I have an Xperia Wallpapers folder I made). and then if you select a photo, it gives you a cross shaped cropper for scrolling wps. I just want a picture on my desktop...
I tried some of the wallpaper slideshow apps, but I'm having such bad trouble with choppy playback of music I uninstalled them. I may go back.

The icon size cannot be the same size as the ZU due to obvious screen difference (5" vs 6.4")
the dpi changes the space and how things look on your phone. That also includes icons.
Actually, 320dpi is the correct XZU dpi for OUR 5" 1080p screen. 480dpi is our stock. 320dpi is using the same icon size as the XZU, the reason why it looks smaller is because obviously our screen is not 6.4" and so we can't have everything looking 100% like XZU. That's just insane lol
if you want big icons, either use a different 3rd party launcher which allows you to do that, change dpi back to 480 and stop complaining about it on the stock launcher or live with the fact that you can't change icon size in stock launcher.
320dpi with the size of XZU screen is impossible without an actual 6.4" screen lol.
It's just like saying, TabletUI/PhabletUI looks too small on my 5" phone but looks big/normal on my 10" tablet! what should I do? ROFL.
P.S XZU has a ppi of 344ppi which means it should use 320dpi XHDPI (eXtra High Density) Our XZ has a higher PPI Density of 441ppi which means DPI will be XXHDPI (eXtra-eXtra High Density) When our XZ use XHDPI, by nature of the screen and ppi, it will look small and there isn't much you can do about that (except from changing icon size in 3rd party launchers)

thanks , I get it now .
Sorry, thought I'd better pop back in. I set my DPI to 320 and, like above, found I had a lot of space either side of the screen I couldn't use. I changed my screen resolution to 600 x 1024 and that helped. I can now get 7 icons (including app drawer) along the dock and can use the entire screen to place apps/widgets etc. Icons are a tad small but still very use able.

you will face a problem with Sony widget , can it be fixed ?
So far I haven't come across any problems. I didn't change the system DPI. Only the settings for Xperia Home launcher. And also for Browser.

Just to show the widgets use the full screen. This is the Flipboard widget stretched to full.
