Stock ROMs

Guys, even the ROM customization has already started I think that very useful would be to have stock ROM backup for the warranty claiming cases. I found site with links to different SGN stock ROMs. I have not installed any of them so be careful.

no it doesn't as it is samsung stock. had no problems flashing it via odin.

Use Odin to flash the ROM.
By the way, can't figure out the country code. How do I know which rom is HK ROM?

I would say N7000ZSKK1 .... I have tried to flash custom version attached somewhere here at forum ... and successfully

Today I tried to update via OTA (Over the air. In the System Updates menu) and for my surprise it said that I can update my firmware so, I updated and Now i'm in 2.3.6 there are a few small changes, for example at the final of the scroll will appear a blue light, AGAIN is faster how in 2.3.4 (For me 2.3.5 was laggy) and I guess that more improvements...

That's weird... Yeah is for LatinAmerica (That's the L after the 5570) Maybe will appear Tomorrow for the rest but is weird because normally the updates appear first in Europe...

Well, officially there isn't even gingerbread available for my country. Looks like they never updated the ROM in Kies. So, flashed 2.3.4 myself...

lol...you guys are lucky....India is still lagging behind 2.2 Froyo DDKC1....what fail samsung retards wont even freaking update.....I had to manually update via Odin

Seems that only some regions have GB available. What I've heard is that no one in europe and asia has a gingerbread update.
My GF's s5660 is also stuck at 2.3.3. Even when the USA already has 2.3.7...
Guess that samsung doesn't really care about their customers...

Are you sure you had the original S5570XWKA7/S5570OXXKA6/S5570XXKA5/S5570XWKA7 when you connected your phone to KIES?

Really here is also in 2.2.1 yet, I flashed also, I got the oficial update via OTA that is a LOT better than kies and is official. So I got this update because I flashed

I'm using doomloord root too, but i'm not having problem with titanium backup when i'm uinstalling an app.

You can try upd_1.zip to root...
And for mirror downloads: Look for the package name of the ROM on sammobile.com, cope the entire name, and try it on google. Many people uploaded them to other filesharing sites as well. Password is mostly the same. Off course you'll have to watch out. Check if the filesize is exactly the same, etc, etc.

What kind of issue?

[Q] Is this NEW KERNAL? Kies Problem.

I was facing soome problems in my note and i went to Samsung service centre and they reflashed the rom. After coming back i checked that kernal version is not familiar.(May be i am wrong) and kies was giving me this mssg after and before updating it. I am posting the images of both.

That is the open german firmware, . . Where is ur phone from? i have xeu uk version and flashed lb1 note now flies but i also get the updates from.kies there is no issue can flash via odin

your ROm is indian, N i can't understand how they have updated, as it is not appeared over XDA, and whom have updated over kies, they have get DDLA5.
it seems your ROM is most recent, but may b leaked, n it is not released over kies, so it(kies) cant understand
You dont requires to do anything
Once it starts appearing over Kies, your msg will b turned to ' You have latest version installed'

Let me upload u the next pic when i connect to the kies the response i get from the UPDATED version of kies.

ya got it, read 1 post above your. you are seems lucky, first to get DDLB2 DD stand for India, so it is Indian ROM of course.

Its also acting somtimes strangly..automatically music app is opening n closing!!

please correct my if i'm wrong, but isn't the newest available firmware LB1?
Build number and kernel version indicate that you have LB2, which is at least newer than what's available on German Note. But since it's still Gingerbread: who cares? I'm sure your Note will update correctly in the future.

i got it updated yesterday after getting service message from samsung. its
available thru kies also but i got it updated thru 3g at delhi. i dont find any notice
able change after that.

Just check whether it not working with perticular circumstances or not at all.
e.g. Try during call
try with speaker On with call
Try with voice recording

Bro checked it all at the first day...really i am getting sad day by day. I am livin in south korea on 27th. I will not be able to use ma warrenty there. So wanted it to be fixed here in India. In korea they will put korean rom wich will only include two languges korean and english and will take money to do that. Isnt there any way i can reinstall this rom. I want to keep the original rom. Like installing new windows on computer.

Hmm. So you went to gb? Earliest possible? And then reset? What did you do?
Also did you verify preconditions or only factory reset? You are not clear.Can't help you if you dont specify what you did. Also can't help you if you deviate and just do random stuff and don't read all...

Yes, when update failed, I tried factory reset before update. This rom is ics, factory reset =>ics. Not gb

Make sure you DON'T wipe or perform factory reset on stock ICS kernels, else you will brick your phone.
If you still want to use OTA then search the forum, I have seen lot of users with same issue. You will definitely find some solution.
EDIT- Okay checked now that you can't even update using kies as well, now tell us how did you update to ICS 4.0.4, kies or odin?

OTA updates are never ever reliable to my concern... Update your phone thru PC KIES.. Install PC KIES on your PC/laptop, plug your phone (enable USB debugging) and KIES will detect the new firmware and update your phone... it's as easy as it gets...

yeah forgot that step, if ota doesn't work check kies, if kies doesn't work check preconditions.

I think he might be referring on not being able to update to ICS 4.0.4 bud... He is currently using 4.0.3 ICS still and his main contention is to upgrade to to 4.0.4 from 4.0.3..
but on the lighter side.. I too am curious how he come to update his phone to 4.0.3 before... It shouldn't be that hard if he has already updated it to 4.0.4, since the method on KIES works pretty much the same thing (in updating 4.0.4 from 4.0.3 using PC Kies.)

But the screenshot in OP shows DXLR2 (4.0.4), thats why I asked. I guess he has some minor update on 4.0.4 only.

I've got it too. For some reason the drop down menu has changed to an uglier shade of yellow green, the colour of frog excrement.. Otherwise don't really notice significant changes. Samsung has layered the ui so much that it just looks like.. Well Samsung. Not very evident it's lollipop tbh

If anyone is manually flashing the ROM using ODIN, check your CSC beforehand. There are two different regions of NZ that Samsung released the update for, which are TNZ and NZC. If you flash the wrong CSC version, your CSC will turn to an unknown state meaning that you won't be receiving OTA updates in the future. I have the Taiwan version (BRI) and I flashed the NZC version and now the CSC state is unknown. It's still Lollipop, but you will have to manually flash every updates released from this point forward.

It must be how Samsung programmed its CSC for the ROM. When the official ROM comes out for your region, you can restore using Kies 3 or Smart Switch. Then, you will get OTA updates as usual like you did before.

weird, I flashed NZC (formerly had BRI) and mine was still BRI. I did some benchmarking and I guess it was a little "dirty" and was getting really low results. So I just went into recovery wiped data and cache. Now my device claims to be NZC and works flawlessly. Best of luck

Unresponsive touchscreen after Lollipop
Hi there guys,
After updating my Galaxy Note 4 n910U to Lollipop via OTA, the touchscreen just became unresponsive. The update went on smoothly and my phone booted fine and it's on Lollipop now. I can navigate normally using the screen through the S-Pen but it just would not respond to touch. Very frustrating. New device, been waiting for this update and this happens. Please help.

You could try factory reset in recovery followed by a cache wipe and a repeat factory reset. Flash the NZC firmware again. After flashing again go to recovery and do a factory reset followed by a cache wipe and another factory reset. Boot and check if you are able to still see the csc in unknown status.
