I think the general answer would be, "If you port it, they will flash."

I can't go back to stock with my broken power button( no Download mode with jig either!!) so am stuck to only AOSP roms (can get into recovery),

I am a mintberry lover. I would love to a version of mintberry for s2.
I've been curious about trying a MIUI ROM but haven't done so yet. Maybe Mintberry could be my first.
This thread has been abandoned and was originated more than a year ago... Don't hold your breath on this one... Who ever resurrected this shouldn't have.... Mods need to be notified to lock this thread...

Wow... How supportive you guys are.... Still this is fun no matter what you say.... I still research myself. And so you know probably in two days i'm gonna release a guide how to run debian + lxde on our mini without losing android . And btw - most of the guys release just news too.... But you don't say anything to them... Either way what you said got on my mind and i will keep that. But it won't change something major in me

They just tell u how to port it and it's not the complete source code.
They threw in the source for a few apps...that's all.
Because MIUI is based on CM, we just take CM9, integrate MIUI source (apps, framework) in CM9 source and compile.

Correct.
Miui guys just took CM and modified it and kept it as closed source for quite a time.
But I think first we needa have stable CM9.

-add some transprent window but statusbar,notification pull down not transprent:::edit i need someone help me to get transprent for this:::THANKS
HOW TO INSTALL/FALSH
-go to CWM recovery
-this rom need full wipe/FORMAT SYSTEM AND DATA
-after all done full wipe/format system and data FLASH THIS ROM
-DONE
EDIT-after install this rom wait until 3 minute to reboot

For the short... my idea is work together with Nitin to make a new soul of miui with .35 kernel... (Wondering if I can play with it everyday... )
And for the long... miui ICS which already "kick off" by ardX and Zuk...

is cool mate if you get use new kernal .35 for rom miui,i have already tried it but not lucky....anyway for this rom next update i want to use kernal .35 and i already tried it and i get boot, but cant get signal line and give the reboot every minute..

I think we should ask all over dear developers/rom porters for all the roms we want for our devices.
Here is mine list
1. Ligux V4 - Elol (Pending)
2. Qiss me - GOT IT - Thanks to Abenagiel
3. codename next update
4. icecoldsandwich next update - GOT IT-Thanks to elol (eagerly waiting for 8.5 update)
5. miui v4 - GOT IT
6. Jelly bean - tHanks to ardx
7. DXROM by abenagiel (Pending)
EDIT : Now we have paranoid android (thanks to aeoi) and soon going to have mockee 1.10 (thanks to abenagiel)
We all can add the list of the roms we want so that the developers may know which are the most desirable roms

I am proud to be a part of this community, all devs and porters working here out of own interest and sharing both knowledge and roms. However, having a wishlist or top ten is not my personal reason because numbers of developers / roms has one other factor: time vs. quality. Imagine yourself serving more ports, having to deal with all unacountable what, ifs and whys will put an enormous amount of workload on you. I fully rely upon what we are served because I know we will get what is most adaptable for our piece. Also, I find many roms being more or less clones of one and other.. The idea IMHO is to have a few relieable and developable steady roms than a bunch hanging in mid air...

You are absolutely right my friend.
The main motive behind my list was to have the knowledge about what all is going around and what all we can have.
our dear dev can share with us what quality stuff we can have and all the roms I talked about are being discussed in this forum.
I just tried to know what all developments we can have for all these roms.
And I asked for these just by relying on the capabilities of our dear dev.

im using ligux 3.2 by zuk so nice and tempting ,i got camera and gapps working on ligux 3.2.
im thinking ligux4 would b so nice

Not putting you down or anything, but there isn't really a need to port it. Nobody will use the Rom for now.

I think closing the thread waiting for a release candidate is not the thing to do. There's people that will use the ROM even with all the bugs and the lag, if it's present.

A difference between porting and building, and if he did build it, it will never have hw and will be slow (due to the lack of GPU drivers)
Why so much hurry in making cm9 based roms..Let atleast stable version come..
My suggestion..Not discouraging you..But according to me wait for stable cm9..

It will be as cm9, without difference of driver,if cm9 has driver PA Will also, porting create many little bugs, and paranoid is made to be built i think

This thing you said is absurd. Porting will create more bugs. And a port takes libs from base rom, so porting and building makes no difference at this point, but porting might create bugs as it was built for another device.
