Funny...it is a well known problem of the G and it seems like nearly everyone is facing that scratching music.

what can i do? just bring the warranty and phone, then prove it to them?? I'm scared, them will not change the new phone to me,juz send it to repair

I'm also experiencing this. I doubt it's hardware as this is experienced by a large majority of GT-I9100G owners.
Could potentially be software, hopefully it'll be resolved with the ICS update.

In fact i listen to music only with headphones, so, i don't know if the problem is there without them...
In fact, i can live with this problem, but when i listen to music with the native player or with playerpro (with my headphones or in my car), sometimes the music is "jumping", just like when a cd player is lightly chocked ...
Do you know what i mean ?

i faced the same problem too in both stock n superRom. the problem went away after i flashed lucifr kernel. im currently using streetware kernel and so far i havent faced any such problems.

i faced this problem before and still facing it....but when i reset my phone to factory defaults and wipe all my data...i tried listening to music before installing any new apps for hours and the problem is gone...but now after installing apps and put alot of files and music in the phone, the problem came back again...this problem gave me a headache to keep tracking and monitoring what app or why i faced it again....

not on g, but happened too on ics with mine, i go back to miui gb and problem is gone.
i guess is ics, not hardware.

Hi everybody,
i have a i9100g too and i tried many roms (official or not) and i face the same issue.
But i've found that it's happen only with a headset PLUGGED on the jack port.
So i use a bluetooth headset and everything work fine

I also faced the same problem while using the stock rom
But now the problem has gone since i m using superrom 3.1
It happens only when your cpu freq gets low
I used set cpu to set my freq to 1200 MHz
And now dat prob has vanishd

A custom kernel is the solution. Trust me, the music skipping drove me mad when I first got the phone. I still had frequent skips with lucifr 1.6 but changing to codeworkx kernel fixed it. Now using Streetware kernel, no more skips, best kernel so far.

And how about the font ? I hear from madteam some language chines, japan, vietnamese show [], i worried about it
I am going to flashing this ROM, but now still not, because read this and read problem with front!
AFAIK....there is no bug in reboot situation and i believe no bug fix from squad...i flashed CyanMobile just to check wether i got a reboot problem with so many others, but no...i didnt had it..
before i flashed CyanMobile,i flash stock rom via odin to clean dalvikbyte code error(Squadzone said:-because the write and read on the system partition and the sdcard is weaker because of flashing again and again continuosly without refreshment through ODIN)...in this case i choose XWKTN,then flash CWM...then i flash CyanMobile with full wipe before not after...then flash bluetooth update, just mount system 1st..
And i got no single reboot itself, and just for info...i didnt apply a single tweak not even amarulz......peace

[Q] head phone problem in ginger eliteV3

hai
Iam using ginger eliteV3 for last one week.I really like this rom.But i can't controll music from my head phone buttons.only volume buttons working others (play/pause,FF,REV)dont. Is there any remedy for this problem?
Maybe our Android dont support that? Nowadays headphone dont usually have that buttons.
Sent From My W8 Using Tapatalk
Thanks for your reply. But it was worked in all the roms which I tried except ginger elite v3. Also x8 have special jack for these controlls.
Its the compatibility issue. If it worked on other ROMs, copy the libs from there or ask your cook to update.
Hope this helps

Just a simple question. Is there any ROM using the new bootloader but a SU660-based kernel? I am sure that all ROMs with old bootloader use a SU660-based kernel as it is impossible to use the p990-kernel because the source is not open yet.
Edit: Forget my Question! There is actually a rom of Topogigi.

this thread is bootloader related!
Noticed audio problems in V28E, V28G and now in V30A. It's always the same bug and occurs at the beginning of every single call. If I accept a call, the other side hears a random crackling noise for about a second. Apart from this, everything is working fine!

Didn`t notice anything similar. The call works or it doesn`t work. After restart everything`s fine again for a while. Had call problem in V28E, V28E_pre1, V28G. In V30A everything works like a charm. Still.
Hm really strange! This was not the answer I wanted to hear. Is there no one else with a similar problem?

You're not taking in consideration that lg devs could put some kind of lock verification on ril/bb/kernel. If I was an lg dev, and was spending time locking the bootloader, I for sure will do this.
What do you think about this?
Again, me nor others know where the problem is, but we have consider all options.

Topogigi built a ROM based on SU660 sources for the new bootloader, hope CM10 will be available for that too soon.
I don't have THE audio bug on v30A, but I think I have the same as I heard before in this tread. It was on 28G too: when I call someone or someone calls me, the first one or two seconds it sounds like the audio bug. I hear sometimes like: hello? hello? And then after a second: ohh there you are.
Like some part of the audio is beïng activated with a little (not annoying) delay. When a call is bugged in CM10, the same thing happens and probably something blocks the same thing beïng activated. It's hard to measure, but it feels like that.

No, it's not "just" unlocked bootloader. It's not an original bootloader from P990, but based on SU660 (as confirmed by wkpark), which adds another variable to the equation...

[Q] A problem in messaging!

hi mates !
I tried 3 jelly bean roms and i experienced this problem most of the time:"lack in messaging scroll" and its too bad
I had been flashed these roms a lot to fix this but it worked just few times and by another flash, it goes away
and I think its accidently!
for example I had flashed Ultimate 5.1 recently, the scrolling act in my messaging is really good and when flash it again, It goes like before.
any one know whats the problem with it? any one has experienced this Problem?
I always do all wipes and formats before flashing>
Thanks bros
Mate it's a leak only.. So don't expect it to be stable as official rom.. If you can't live with these bugs then flash a stock rom and stay stocked

[Q] Xperia V - SOD, software or hardware?

Hi,
do we know if the SOD problems are software or hardware related? ( Was gonna link to the SOD thread at Sony, but cant because of few posts. But google "Xperia V random freeze in standby" and your there..)
I am about to send my phone in for service, but since this will propably take a couple of weeks im hoping a software fix would be released.

Which firmware version?
How frequent was the SOD?
How long without?
I use the latest JB rom. I got 1~2 SoD per day before minimal CPU setting change. Now it stands well for more than two days without SoD. The Wifi is on. Maybe my good luck but worth trying.

Wifi of is not an option. Like a sportscar without an engine, but nice to get solid indications that WiFi actual is the problem. Seems like it would be fixable by software then, if only Sony care to take action.

This thread is about the SOD( "Sleep of Death") problems that some users have experienced on their Xperia V.
With the purpose of figuring out if this is a hardware( need to get phone replaced) or software( can be fixed by update).
So if you never had any issues with the SOD on your phone, on either ICS or JB, the information about which rom you think is the best do not help with the question asked in this thread. Please read before posting...

Have you tried a factory reset? When I had this issue on my Xperia TL, (before I rooted it and installed XperimenT) I uninstalled a ton of apps and disabled the ATT apps. It was doing the SOD every night. I would go through any recent apps you've installed and delete/disable them. If that doesn't work do a factory reset and _slowly_ reinstall apps. I think this is a case where something is interfering with Sony's stock firmware.
for those still having SOD, maybe u can try this. not sure it helps or not. because before i install jellybean, i review the code in build.prop first. so that is why it didnt happen on me for 2 weeks. well, i test it out yesterday.
use either ES file explorer or Root explorer, go to system -> build.prop.
find this line dalvik.vm.heapsize=36m, put a # in front of it to disable this code.
it could be because there is another similar code, thus conflict. u can find another similar line at the bottom of build.prop.
hope it helps!
