Reporting Bugs
You are allowed to report bugs only in this thread. Before reporting a bug, please make sure you are running as stock as possible. This means no custom kernel, no custom framework modification, etc. If you are using any of the above modifications, please flash the rom again to get rid of the modifications before reporting.
Grab a logcat right after the problem has occurred. (Please include at least a few pages of the log, not just the last few lines, unless you know what you're doing.)
If it is a random reboot, grab /proc/last_kmsg. (Do not bother getting a logcat unless you can get it just before the reboot. A logcat after a reboot is useless)
Remember to provide as much info as possible. The more info you provide, the more likely that the bug will be solved. The following is a useful format to follow.

Kernel Source Code
The Kernel Source Code is here https://github.com/teamhacksung/android_kernel_samsung_msm
The branch used to build is cm-2.6.35
It is currently some commits ahead of the binary used to ship with the Nightly builds.
The exact Versions used for a nightly or RC are now tagged, e.g. RC3 for the Kernel that ships with RC3.

Thanks 1st

Huge thanks for coming back and developing for our device
Looks like the servers are busy, aren't they? Are you working at the servers or are there just too many people downloading RC3 (or is it just me ^^)?

Coolya: massive thanks for your hard work on bringing the CM cooper repositories up to date and fixing most major bugs. Everyone should remember -- all the unofficial builds use the source and so all benefit from Coolya's hard work.

Welcome to xda =)
Good to see you here!
Thanks for amazing work.
You rock!

Finally you're backed! Welcome to XDA!

is it from 2012-05-26? RC3. im just a bit confused as the date is older than my current cm7. wich is dated 2012-05-27. 1 day newer?
i got it from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1543521

2012-05-27 is newer nightly, other is rc3 coming out one day before new nightly...

welcome back

@coolya : I see CM 7 is actually performs better than stock. But could it possible to have some features like unlock animation for sliding tab style? the fade off animation after unlocking. These requires stock editing from CM7

There shouldn't be any real difference between the nightly and the RC, the RCs ara build from the gb-release branch which gets taged some time before building the RCs, so every maintainer can test against this branch.
Nightly builds are build from the gingerbread branch without any testing.

YOU'RE ALIVE. Lol, we miss you. And thanks for the great builds, CyanogenMod and Kali....
Been using CM9 RC1 for a couple hours now and everything is running pretty good.
The only thing i'm noticing is lag and screen tearing on stock launcher, and that's with or without forcing gpu rendering or surface dithering.
Other then that, everything seems stable enough for a daily driver.
Thank You CM Team!
EDIT: Seems to be happening with other launchers and with window and transition animations...

So I use the4 latest and no problems here but is there anything you can elaborate on that might have caused conflicts?
I've always wondered why I have a greenish look on CM9.
changing kernels solves the problem. Looks like color hue is off.
Any ideas ? why is this kernel related ?
would anyone care to share any major differences between AOKP and CM9? Would flash myself but don't have the time at the moment
Screen tearing on white background is the reason I stop flashing CM9 two month ago... I guess it was never fixed...

I've been on AOKP for awhile and never had the issue. I just flashed the RC1 this morning with 04292012 gapps and the matr1x kernel (v22) and mine is not greenish. (Sorry I didn't even boot before flashing kernel).
I've only been running it today with this setup and it is really fast and snappy.

I just switched from AOKP today and the main difference is bootanimation, launcher and AOKP has a little more customization options. :silly:
Honestly though, this build is running really nice and fast and I sure missed CM's "go to sleep" button in the notification pull down. So who knows what I'll do...

Hi boys
Ive been using this excelent ROM and only found 2 errors
1 the camera doest work . neither the focal .
2 the Google drive get permanent error
Gapps are the 20130813
Thank you!
My feeeback:
While using stock browser the header(2 inch long bar appears @top of screen) keeps flashing when trying to scroll then goes black, same thing with dolphin browser.
Im no expert but 4.3 might need some tweaking for our video cards. This is experimental so its pretty darn good to even run.
Focus camera FC's.
Random reboots.
Thanks for letting us try this out.

Graphical glitches
Hello to all,
cm team solved the graphical glitches. Works for my S3 and N8010.
Edit the build.prop file in the system folder:
OLD: hwui.render_dirty_regions=false
NEW: debug.hwui.render_dirty_regions=false
--> reboot
:good:
Hi fríends
I must return to 4.2 because gapps were to unstable. Hangouts keep chrome and youtube always on fc.
Very sorry about that.
@humberos
Is it possible to have a flashable zip of your latest kernel compatible with official cm?
If this isn't possible, how can i make a zip always compatible with official cm?

Do you want to use this kernel over official buids?
Just replace boot.img file into rom install package.
Or
I made a flashable package (only kernel install) for N801x and you can use it as sample for anothers variants.
Please, check this file: META-INF/com/google/android/updater-script
You'll see the install script.
Cheers!

[ROM][V][L][5.0.2] CyanogenMod 12 official nightly builds

CyanogenMod is a free, community built, aftermarket firmware distribution of Android 5.0 (Lollipop), which is designed to increase performance and reliability over stock Android for your device.
Code:

CyanogenMod is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. Linked below is a package that has come from another Android project that restore the Google parts. CyanogenMod does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.
All the source code for CyanogenMod is available in the CyanogenMod Github repo. And if you would like to contribute to CyanogenMod, please visit out Gerrit Code Review. You can also view the Changelog for a full list of changes & features.

please help me , after flashing the new CM12 nightly I experience that installation hangs on message "Upgraid Android..... Starting Apps"
I came from the last full functionally cm11 nightly and I upgrade my V to CM12 by the cyanogenmod updater (stock gapps package).
Also I tryed to format sd, wipe all and install sony stock rom first , performing a clean and complete installation . Than Installed CM11 last nightly by flashing the boot.img inside the zip package (without gapps). So after installation I used cyanogenmod updater to download and upgrade my device but I experience the same problem.
boot.img recovery from cm11 NIGHTLY package version 6.0.5.1
the unofficial cm12 nightly by NEO with TWRP recovery inside works fine , I have never encountered any installation problem.
Same here. Tried every clean way with and without gapps. Wiped dalvik, system, data, cache, secure and flash only the cm12 zip, but still stuck after installing 79 apps at Starting apps.
Uaooo I felt a little silly until a few moments ago so I am happy not to be alone, thanks banciii

Don't worry, "sadly" u r not alone. In the other cm12 (neo's homebuild) thread, there are a few people who also installed nightly and reported the same issue.
Now me with the same problem, but... After updating and seeing UPGRADING APPS sign for half and hour, i rebooted my phone, now, with ANY rom it boots infinitely. And i don't want to do a factory reset.

What does it means "any rom" ? What recovery do you are using ?
@codeworkx or @championswimmer do you see any bugfix relevant changes in the next nightly, which would allow us to install and run the new build? :fingers-crossed:
Edit: Nevermind, I already made a nandroid backup and installed 01.19. nightly after full wipe. The result is the same.
Android is upgrading...

WhiteNeo's build is 303mb, but the nightly is only 265mb, is there any reason for this difference?

Yes, it's stuck at upgrading apps again! Don't flash!
Hi,
When stuck, all I can see is those lines in logcat :
Code:
W/AudioSystem( 889): AudioPolicyService not published, waiting...
I/ServiceManager( 889): Waiting for service media.audio_policy...
I/ServiceManager( 889): Waiting for service media.audio_policy...

Hope it helps,

Same issue with 0120, do not flash it.
@championswimmer
I assume this happens because of selinux denials for mediaserver.
Do a eng build and check /data/misc/audit/audit.log

We missed to update libqc-opt.so. If we can call it "update" at all.
Had to modify it using a hexeditor to work with L.
It's pushed to repos.
