I was wondering something the last few days, I flashed the 2.1 original firmware, (I believe is the most stable one) but when I go to "twitter.com" or"mobile.twitter.com" in the browser it opens the wap page, not the one that was made for touch cellphones, the other one (I hate the wap page) and I can't get into the touch page! But in 2.3 I can!Can someone tells me what I'm doing wrong? Does someone has the answer? Thanks
PS: I already have the Twitter app, but I want to now why that happens, and fix it!
Go to browser settings, select user agent and then Android.

(I believe is the most stable one) U got to be kidding me. First of all it`s ugly and second it supports very little number of apps.
AND IT IS SO DEM SLOW...
Use Dolphin Browser HD/Mini.
Once downloaded just select your user agent.
(iPhone, iPad, Android,Desktop)

i'm really frustrated with my htc s730, has anyone tried to open forum.xda-developers.com on their device?
fast openning of the page but as soon as i start scrooling it takes me two minutes to get to the bottom of the page.
maybe that's beacuse the missing drivers.
But i think it's not acceptable to sell a device with so low performances. I feel cheated, s710 my previous phone performs alot better.
i get the ideia that the device slows down when openning pictures...
???

Wasn't released yet.
I use Opera v8x, i guess,this is the best PIE replacement (yet).
There are some others out there,too.

Strange as it is that this site is about mobiles but has no mobile friendly version?!
open www.xda-developers.com and you will see a pda version link on the left of the page.
The problem is that the post are not arranged by last post, what makes that version loose all of it's funcionality... :S
Not sure as I have never tried coming here from my phone yet, but I know with some other sites IE has some default display options that will either keep the origional website layout and look, or modefy it for "easier" use. I have been to a few sites that were useless and took ages to navigate unless I changed how IE displays the page. Might be worth a try. (not that opera isnt good, use it on the PC and the phone )
my opera, when it opens certain sites, also gmail site, when you scroll up down or zoom in and out too much, some parts of the screen got stuck.
example , i move around in my inbox front screen, then when i try to search some mails, the screen wont go to the top, like it got cut.
anyone with the same problem? wanna know if there's any solution.

Its 9.5
.. and I am still not able to change its default browser status. Opera site informs that Activex and flashplayer is disabled in this version which may be the reason for some problems.
just went over to the opera ftp site and found at the very bottom a link to the 9.7 beta.

I found that file in device\windows\opera9\ folder.
Is there a particular way to install this bad boy? If I just hit install will it break TF3D?

Installed this on shep's latest rom and it flys
Removed previous version via add remove programs and installed the cab
and this opera is really a turbo make that twin turbo's
yeah it looks really nice and all but don.t forget it.s just the first beta. if u look more closely you can see that most of the plugins are disabled - falsh etc.(and opera turbo is in there just for the preview - very unstable and buggy and probably not ready yet).
still, it looks and feels really nice so i.m gonna be really interested in the final release. till then i.m on skyfire - still unbeatable in mobile browsing experience
it sux that there is no flash i guess i will be using skyfire a little longer

The zooming feature on my htc touch pro doesn't seem to work.
I'm not talking about the zooming feature of clicking on the screen but the scroll on my htc touch pro itself.

Yeah I'd like to know this as well. That zooming feature is the ONLY reason I use Opera Mobile over Iris and Skyfire.

There's no choice to open or save file like in PC browsers... I know that rar files can be saved in such way, but no such files like *.cab.
You can't download files unless turbo is disabled. I know, hassle.
Edit: Also, just press your finger over the link for a couple seconds then go to save.
Well.. I used Advanced Config. Went to more settings and went to smart touch. I then added Opera Mobile to the list and was excited because I thought it would use the zoom bar to zoom!

Opera 9.7 on turbo mode browsing Facebook
Have you guys tried Facebook with Opera 9.7 on turbo mode?
When I try it, on the home screen of Fbook, I cannot click anything except stuff like Home, Profile, Friends, Inbox (the top buttons).
Everything else just reloads the home page.
Very similar to Opera mini in that respect.
Is there a trick about this or something.

After upgrading Fuze rom from ATT website to 5.11.502.2, I am facing two problems with HTC Fuze (ATT)
1. When i disconnect the call, phone automatically connects to EDGE. How to stop this?
2. When i search some of the sites on net, it prompts me with a message
"Please use Internet Explorer Version 5.5 or later".
Now as per WinMo 6.1, IE is latest. How to inform the website about browser capabilities? I tried different USER AGENT strings to identify my browser on web but did not work.
Pls. help.

ok, i have no idea about your edge problem, doesn't happen to me (or just haven't really noticed)
but, that version of ie on wm 6.1 is actually based on ie 4 desktop, if you flash a 6.5 rom, you will get the ie6 browser. so, to remedy, either flash or install a 3rd party like opera 9.7 or skyfire.

I suggest that you flash a 6.5 ROM.
personal choice.
If he/she wants to use the offical rom, then I suggest someone who has knowledge posts comments or atleast observations in hopes of working towards a fix.

I must be doing something wrong, because this thing is so slow, I've never actually had it successfully open a bookmark before I give up and close it...btw, not allowing a close when you back arrow from the main screen is not consistent with the way most apps work.
