download mode can be done by pressing Middle Key(HOME Key) + Power key and Volume Down Key .
Here is what you will need:
1. You might already have USB drivers for you Ace if you have Kies installed. If not, download manually from here.
2. Download Odin Multi Downloader v4.38 (Imp.- version no. is important) and the cooper_v1.0.ops file from http://www.mediafire.com/?lga31u288f6nvu2
3. Now download a firmware of your choice from samfirmware.com.
link for latest india baseband firmwre :- http://www.hotfile.com/dl/148986856/f274ebd/S5830DDKQ8_S5830ODDKQ7_INU.zip.html
4. Make sure you have the phone’s battery charged to at least 40-50%.
Now that you have everything now you need to go and set Odin.
1. On ODIN select the OPS button and load the Cooper_v1.0.ops file unto it. Ensure that the Auto-Reboot, Protect OPS and Reset Time is checked.
2. Unzip the firmware .Zip file in a folder If you get have the contents in .TAR (or .tar.md5), Check “One Package” option on the left side & skip PDA, Phone, CSC, BOOT options & directly go to ‘One Package’ option. Browse for the .tar (or .tar.md5) file & select it
3.enter into dwld mode
4.click on start
the whole process wud take arnd 5 mins.if it bootloops on restarting.enter into recovery(home + power button) n erase caches.

Yes u do need to install drivers or else USB mass storage wont work and your phone wont connect to your pc..google them..
Yep..just boot into download mode and start odin...though wiping data should be done just in case...

before doing all those things you should have atleast taken care of going back to stock.. i am pretty damn sure that google will give you a complete noob guide to use and flash ROMS with ODIN on atleast 100 sites.. i am sure you can use google atleast ?

Complete soution :d [100%]

[Q] Galaxy Ace stuck in reboot loop

My Galaxy Ace is stuck in a reboot loop after trying to flash 2.3.6 onto it, when it had 2.3.5 on it previously.
I've used ODIN and no matter what firmware I try to flash onto it, it just goes into a reboot loop.
Any idea how to fix it?
Did you try to do a wipe?

press down home button and then power on phone ...--> you will enter into recovery mode .
select wipe with help of volume keys and there you go out of bootloop
My Galaxy Ace is also in some sorta reboot loop.
Everything was working fine with it (phone is rooted and CWM installed) until I did a phone reset because I was giving the phone to my gf. After doing this the phone reboots, the blue samsung logo plays (without sound) and then repeats ad-infinitum. I can get into recovery mode and download mode ok and I've tried wipe and even restored a CWM backup (it says it was successful) but the phone just keeps rebooting. I can see the phone in odin but I've never tried to flash anything onto it and quite frankly I'm unsure whether it would just make things worse (if it needs to go back to Samsung for repair). Any help would be appreciated...
If you have cwm ..why dont you download some custom rom like cm7and flash it ..that would bring your phone back to life ...then you can downgrade to stock rom if you want ...and btw in cwm try cache partition , clear data /factory reset and clear dalvik cache ..see if it boots after you do this ..
Sent from my SGA rocking CM7.2 by vo-1 + all-in-one script
when i always flash by odin or by cwm i always do wipe , wipe cache and wipe dalvik, this helps me everytime
I managed to flash a firmware from samfirmware and it fixed the reboot.
Now my issue is when I connect to Kies, it says there's an updated firmware for the phone but it fails every attempt to install it. I went back to samfirmware and found this firmware: S5830ZSKPD ## but when I download and extract it there's only 1 x MD5 file and 1 x DLL file?! The other firmware had the 4 or 5 files needed to include in Odin... any ideas guys?
I think its a "one package file " ..I forgot the correct name but there is some option like that in odin ..dont worry it contains all the required files ..and if you are scared to do it then go to you tube ..there are many tutorials showing it then...

Yep, that's exactly what it was, thanks again.
Unfortunately with this firmware, Kies doesn't recognise it and provides no info.
I flashed back to the older firmware... I'll just have to keep experimenting I guess.

Well I could flash it with Odin if I had the firmware but I don't.
It appears it's not available on SamFirmware.com
Do you know where I can download the following firmware?
PDA:KPD / PHONE:KPD / CSC:KPC (THL)
Thanks
Lol I cant understand those firmwares ..can you tell me which version of android you want like 2.3.4/2.3.5/2.3.6 ...then ill be able to help you wanr

Thanks anyway but I managed to find the firmware online and flashed it using Odin.
Now Kies says I'm using the latest which is a good start : )
Now I just need to find a way to root my SGS2 GT-I9100T
U can try a custom ROM from the Developer's forums here.
I also once stucked in the Reboot Loop..............
But then I installed a custom or if you want features from a official Rom, you can install Stock Based custom ROm from the Developer forums of Galaxy Ace. Really good Rom have been made by the developers
In the chance that someone else is looking for this latest OEM firmware update:
PDA:KPD / PHONE:KPD / CSC:KPC (THL)
It can be downloaded from: http://translate.googleusercontent....flgljh&usg=ALkJrhiMpHV83dugh4RGwhKpyjIrYIgn2Q
It is in "one part file" format and can be flashed using Odin.
whatever may be the problem ......just rem to keep a backup of ur previously used rom and just flash it with cwm...
Progress?

Hello , i tryed to flash an ics rom , http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1608624 this exactly , everything went fine until remove the battery step and now i cant seem to get it in recovery mode to flash the rom second time. Did i brick it ?
Please help , thank you
Mmmh..So,your phone doesn't get the recovery mode?
And does it get the download mode?
Problem is that i don't know how to do it . I am new to flashing android . My pc doesn't recognize the phone while it keeps restarting . I just need to make it go in recovery to flash the rom one more time . I read that i was supposed to set 3 button mode before flashing , and since i am a newbie at this i did not .
Is there anything that can be done ?
Try the download mode---> vol down+home+power
If you get the download mode you're safe, don't worry
This is a video tutorial that teaches you how to use Odin and flash a Samsung firmware if you can't do it
It worked . Now i have on screen Downloading logo and bellow Do not turn off Target . What i must do next ? Thanks alot for helping me .
And if you can reach this mode flash a sure stock mode like 2.36 with Odin. Then you can flash ICS again

Download Odin from here and see this tutorial which contains also a download link for a 2.3.6 JW4 official rom
I downloaded Odin v 1.85 , Pc sees the phone conected but it doesnt get the driver for him . I attached a print screen
Download these USB drivers and install them
Ok i made it , flashed that stock 2.3.6 rom . Now how do i flash that ICS rom ?
First, you have to flash a custom kernel with a custom recovery!
Flash this via Odin on download mode like a rom flash(open the .zip, extract the .tar file, open Odin, put this .tar in PDA and flash!)
ONLY the .tar file,no other ones ok?
After that, put the .zip file of the rom you want install on your sdcard, reboot on recovery,do all the wipes(data, cache and dalvik cache) and install it
Good luck man

[Q] Lots Of Questions

Hello XDA Community,
I am an 2 year XDA veteran, so i am properly familiar with all things related to XDA.
I currently own a Xperia X10 Mini Pro and a Xperia Mini Pro....
I tinker a lot with these 2 phones. SE phones mainly need fastboot.....
I just brought a Samsung Galaxy Note(SGN) N7000 (India) a few days back and am really excited to run CM9 on it.....
But i have alot of unanswered questions.....
So i just need the community's help...
1. Does the SGN have a stock recovery....????
My cousin has a Galaxy Tab 8.9 and it had a stock recovery. I just flashed a zip to root it and another zip for CWM......
2. What exactly is ODIN....?????
The Tab 8.9 had ODIN with a Recovery but our SGN does not seem to have one.......
3. Is it safe to upgrade to official Samsung ICS......????
There is alot of talk going on in the forum about HARD BRICKING our SGN if we upgrade........
4. What do i exactly have to do to get CWM......????
The guides in Development Section by dr.ketan have me totally confused, though i have rooted my SGN using DoomLord's Kit............
I am new to Samsung devices ant dont know the way they work.....
So any help will be extremely appreciated.......
Thanks.
1 there is a stock rom you can flash it with odin
2 odin allow you to flash your sgn
3 no it is safe
4 you can download it and flash it with odin

The screen only shows " Start Downloading"...

[Q] Can I flash efs backup with ODIN?

Hi people!
My phone is bricked and I found a backup of my efs (efs.rfs), but I can't flash because I only get crash in ODIN.
What can I do? What's wrong with ODIN?
Best Regards,
Cristian Silaghi
Have you done a nandroid backup? And also can you access to CWM? If yes try to erase everything.
And for odin do you used download mode? Try to unzip the stock rom and put it correctly in program then use download mode, connect your phone and let's start till it finish.
If everything don't work, go to S.A.V and say you don't know what happen'd to your if your warranty is safe.

I can't access Recovery Mode/CWM. It's flickering the screen. What can I do it's just access Download Mode. There's a chance to make phone work if I flash my original stock firmware (but I can't find on the internet firmware stock from Orange Romania, Froyo version, that version which came with the phone).
Then flash a stock firmware this is the most simple for save your phone

I repeat: I can't find my original stock firmware from Orange Romania. Nobody leaked it...
I tried some "miraculous" firmwares which worked from some users, but I think that firmwares was the original ones which came with those phones.
Contact this user.
U are not clear, if ur phone is bricked nothing can be done.
Of course they are not 100% original firmwares but they work and that is all that is needed.
As u can access download mode just flash a GB stock firmware.

But if I have access in Download Mode, and nothing else works, what is this? Just a simple flickering?

I installed "Galaxy Ace Unlock".
The screen is flickering when I start the phone and when I access CWM/Recovery Mode.
Only thing what works is Download Mode (without flickering).
ODIN just crashes (Galaxy Ace Unlock made a backup, but that backup cannot be flashed in ODIN, at least in my case) when I try to flash EFS.
Maybe ODIN doesn't support of flashing EFS backup in GT-S5570... Can anybody confirm that I'm wrong?

This is a tutorial i helped someone else with:
I think you already got the files, in case not download them again.
--WARNING-- Your phone must be charged to 90% or more, to prevent flash failure.
okay, put your phone in download mode. (power button, home button, and volume down button at same time) connect it to usb, and start odin.
Select ops file,
than select the boot file, named: APBOOT_S5570XXKPI_CL260130_REV02_user_low_true.tar.md5
Select Phone file: MODEM_S5570XXKPI_CL260130_REV02.tar.md5
The PDA file: CODE_S5570XXKPI_CL260130_REV02_user_low_true.tar.md5
and as last the CSC file: CSC_S5570SERKPI_CL260130_REV02_user_low_true.tar.md5
--MAKE SURE THIS IS RIGHT, AND ELSE YOUR PHONE CAN BE FATAL BRICKED!!!--
okay, all good?
right. click start.
wait till your phone reboots,
THEN, remove your usb cable.
and then the last part: Have fun!

/efs backup can help you only when your IMEI gets corrupted and you don't have gsm network. That means you can boot Android, but you will have problems with baseband.
You have another type of problem, right now efs can't help you, you must boot into system first.
domini99, tried already to do that. Without success

domcale, the app "Galaxy Ace Unlock" made a backup of /dev/block/stl5 (called "stl5.rfs") which I found on memory card.
If I can't boot up in system/CWM/Recovery and I can enter in Download Mode, what this means?
Can't enter recovery? Dunno why you can't, but if you can enter download mode, then you can flash stock rom using Odin

[Q] Stuck on Samsung Logo

Hey Guys,
Last time i bricked my phone by installing other model custom rom then i got my motherboard replcaed by samsung service centre.
However i got Froyo 2.2 Os and i thought of upgrading to GB but when i upgraded it my SGM got stucked on Samsung Logo without recovery.
I cant enter Recovery but i can go to download mode and i even tried many firmwares like XXKPI, DDKQ7 but no luck.
Any Help on how to do it? Should i Flash CWM and try to go into recovery and wipe cache/data?
Please reply as soon as possible

OPS:- TASS_v1.0.ops
If your firmware is one package(i.e. if it contains a single ".tar.md5" file) then you need to place it under one package in Odin.
& if its full package(i.e. if it contains four files) then place the files under correct field like this:-
BOOT:- APBOOT……..
PHONE:- MODEM……
PDA:- CODE……………
CSC:- CSC……………….
Place ops file under OPS field.
Recheck the steps & also recheck ops filename. Wrong name produces undesirable consequences.
Hit "Start". Wait for 5-10 mins.
Done.
Now, if u face bootloops problem, then pull out & re-insert the battery, press HOME+POWER buttons together to open stock recovery mode (Now navigate up/down using volume+/- keys, & press HOME key to make selection, & POWER key for previous menu.)
*Select wipe data/factory reset->Yes
*Then wipe cache->Yes
*Then select reboot system now.
Congrats!! Now, you will have a fully working original Galaxy Mini.
Hope this helps...!!!

Tried Pulling out battery and going into recovery mode but still no luck then i tried flash CWM through odin and it works and i got into recovery but however after wiping data/cache/battery stats/dalvik and after rebooting i get Samsung Logo for 7-8 sec then i get battery charging logo..
Have you tried all steps above?? Try ALL of them first. This method has saved many phones. Infact, it's the only working way.
As far as I know, CWM works only if gingerbread is successfully installed. It doesn't work on Froyo. & since you are saying that you've flashed CWM & its working…, then maybe you can flash a custom rom(for your device specific model) to bring it back on track. But **DO IT AT YOUR OWN RISK**.

I Wonder why i cant install Gingerbread?
I Have flashed GB many times and why now.
The only thing i can flash is Froyo :S
If it works fine on Froyo, it will work for sure on gingerbread. Maybe ur gb package got corrupted.
