Wireless charging for Droid Bionic for sale - Motorola Droid Bionic

I have an Energizer Qi wireless conductive charging pad and Bionic conductive charging cover for sale. I don't use them nearly as much as I thought I would. Anyone interested?

Does it come with

Wireless charging off the bat or is that a separate deal? Like everything else?

I don't think anyone knows yet, but my guess would be that you have to pay extra for the inductive charging back and have to buy an inductive charging pad separately.
Ahh thx. You'd think they would throw that in there for the long wait.

Droid 3 Battery Same As Droid & Droid 2?

Just wondering if anyone knows if the battery for the Droid 3 is the same as the one for the OG Droid / Droid 2. I have a few of the extended batteries from my original Droid and thought it'd be cool if I could use them in a D3 if I bought one.
Thanks!

Definitely not the same. Was a little cranky about that at first. Had an extra battery and standalone battery charger for my OG Droid. Gave them to my sister along with the phone. lol
Its not the same. THe Droid 3 battery is slimmer and taller.

optional extended battery cover

any chance has anyone put another cover on the back of the bionic besides the otterbox that was dremmeled?... im really not liking the the backing that comes with the extended.
Recently just bought an extended and waiting in the mail for it... even ended up buying an inductive to experiment and take apart to see if it would fit. Maybe wondering if we can take out the back plate and put on a incipio and use that instead
I have the door that comes with the vzw extended battery. Its not bad at all

Qi wireless charging

Does anyone know for sure if the moto x will support wireless charging. Google searching has given me mixed results.

Don't think there was every any mention of it through the official website under specs.
Nope no wireless charging. Only one that does is the new Droids. (atleast the Maxx does)
Then I'll quietly hope the new nexus fits

Nexus 4
The Nexus 4 is Qi enabled as well – not that it helps the Moto X users.

Yep. This is due to the curved custom battery and back, whereas the droids have a flat back.
I had a nexus 4 for about 3 months and ended up selling it off. I'm a field tech and travel into a lot of fringe areas and I was really unimpressed with its signal reception.... Yes, I had the correct APN and I'm actually using a unlocked gnex right now and it has much better signal. My gnex does have qi charging since I modded it to support it.

moto x
i think it will support qi
http://mobileandphone.com/motorola-moto-x-vs-droid-ultra/ They say that it does in fact have native qi charging.

Clearly they have no idea at all. They don't even appear to have a phone, it is probably just someone's blog. They show zero proof that it does, also everything has pointed to it not having it unfortunately.
Didn't ifixit's teardown show inductive coils?

That was for NFC.
I looked at the ifixit too, def no coil heavy enough to be a receiver coil.

Synergy qi charger

I ordered, but hasn't been sent yet. I didn't see another topic on this thread for this item. Hopefully it is produced. It looks really nice and I'm intrigued by how it plans to hold device to the charger. The g2 with the smooth back should hold nicely.

Does G2 even work with wireless charging sets ?
The Verizon model does....

seems to be another crowd source funded project. They have a long ways to go before meeting their goal to start production.

Looks nice though. hope they'll succeed.
Yeah, I have a feeling of it does make it to production, the metal base probably will not. It'll still be pretty nice with a plastic base.

How is the magnet supposed to keep the phone on the charging pad without damaging the internal memory? I always thought magnets + storage = bad news.
Ryoma1337, that dates back to hard disk drives, solid state memory is not effected by magnets.

Wow I thought this got canned back in Oct. Wouldn't hold my breath you'll get it.

I was kind of hoping that since Amazon has it listed, somehow it held a little credibility.
Sent from my Nexus 7 using xda app-developers app
To be honest, this just seems too good to be true. But if it is true, it definitely got my money. I just find it skeptical that a magnet can hold the phone on with no problems with all the vibrations and such a car has.
I got in on the air dock campaign. Looks promising. http://www.indiegogo.com/projects/the-air-dock

Ryoma1337, You would be surprised. On my gnex I installed the palm touchstone coil and 10 1/8x1/32 inch rare earth magnets inside the battery cover and it was perfect. Never had a single instance of the phone falling off touchstone base. I could hold upside down and gently shake and it wouldn't budge. I wish the touchstone was qi so I could use it on the g2.

I saw these were supposed to be shipping in April, have you received one yet?
Received mine about a month ago. Love it. Removing the phone can b kinda tricky the sticky pad really sticks well. There's also a magnet built into it.

Thanks, I just got a G2, looking for a dock for it, by chance you could hook us up with some pics when you get a chance?
Is your g2 a Verizon version? Yeah I can.
