[solved] LOOKING FOR NEW MANAILA FILES

OK THERE IS A NEW ROM FOR A NEW DEVICE THAT IS OUT AND I AM LOOKING FOR IT.
IT IS FROM THE NEW DEVICE IOLITE WHICH IS QVGA BUT HAS TF3D.
IT ALSO HAS STOCK TAB AS WELL AS A NEW TAB CALLED FOOTPRINT.

I have three days off this week and wanted to work on this. I guess I'm left to ripping from those who already ripped it.

You have the iolite ROM? I'll help you dump it if you share it.
If you're referring to the new imgfstools, they work on the above referenced ROMs. Well, I've only tested it on the touch-it and 3lit3 ROMs, as I wasn't interested in udk's.
I think these were made with the new build tools from bepe.

but i have tested now to dum 3lit3 ROMs and it doesnt works..

i got it from a really good source...actually 2 different sources.
let me play with the files an we will go from there.

Don't know what to say. Works for me. If you're one of the first 2 people that downloaded it before I fixed an upload problem, the problem might not be on your end.
If anyone could send me this iolite ROM, I'd appreciate it.

[Tool] Any interest in bringing the VCK here?

I'm working on the VCK over on the Vibrant forums. Read about it here.
I'm trying to gauge if there's interest for this on other Galaxy S phones.
What would happen is there would be a separate tab for the Captivate where I could add devs/categories to.
Devs would then build their lists and the program would automatically reflect the changes.
Why it might be useful: it's an extra way to get your product out there, and a good way to store all the mods/themes for your ROM in one place. The program has the ability to zip up APKs/files in its queue and make them a flashable zip, or it can just directly download files from a web server (for ROMs and other already-made flashables).
It's great for noobies to add any bloat they might want back as well as other things. Plus, it's good for making blank flashable zips for quick modifications, and the like.

Instead of a Repo tab, if there might be a Vibrant tab & a Captivate tab (and maybe any other phone that has interest).
They key is community involvement. I don't have a Cappy nor do I have the time to live on all Galaxy S subforums to keep up with all the modems/apps/roms each phone differs with

what do you mean by "commit" their rom to rom manager? Can it not just simply be listed on there?

One of the reasons for the rom manager not having the roms is that most will just flash the rom without thinking (happens far to often) and if the bases changed say from a 2.2 base to a 2.2.1 base and you flash the rom without going to stock first you could end up in a boot loop or even worse a brick. That option was added for HTC and others that are far more open to flashing then the galaxy s line. There are far to many "I bricked my captivate" threads due to people not reading and understanding what they did or didnt do to cause it. Most people are only interested in making their phone cool and not what is really going on when they flash their phone. So I am personally glad that they are not listed in Rom manager.

one question, you can add different themes, modems, kerenels, ect to the app? so you have like your own rom kitchen on your computer?

Ok. This files is only for MIUI system. :/
Instalation on MIUI systems is simple. Change the zip to mtz and install.
But on other systems i dont know how.

my problem is that the names don't show when i use the file browser, it's just dates. time & file size. Name will show when you tap on the file though.

You need to edit xml file.
For everyone who want install the theme on other system than UI need edit every apks and rewrite xml file.

its just soft-mod, for what make ROM if you can make update.zip (10-20mb) with few new *.apk?

Yeah.. There are too many soft-mods on forums these days..They're not bringing anything new and are flooding forums.. Also asking for donation for something like this is inappropriate. Everybody can pack this stuff into someone else's rom.. Nothing new to see here. If you people won't stop posting those, we will end up with two, maybe three roms and over 50 soft-mods of them..

Hey Guys, I have a ROM ready to publish, I just want some feedback on the last changes I could make.
If you guys have any suggestions of what I can still add, you can comment below and help me out. I will make a separate flashable zip for different types of mods in an extras section.
Plus, I'm trying to figure out how to add the screenshots. I want the type of screenshots in most of the ROMS like Apocalypse, CM7-RC3-AA. have the Galaxy Ace. For example I got this screenshot from another ROM. And for my Rom, I would like the same type of screenshots, but i don't know how to do it.
Please Guide me, I want to release my rom soon.

for the image its easy, just take the screenshot in your rom then resize it to fit in the screen area of the image example you just put in your post

And about what else to add. I've added scripts, modded performance, and stuff. So I don't think it needs any more performance tweaks. Just maybe improve the visuals? Any ideas?????
