Dragon Go (sort of) - Galaxy Tab 2 Themes and Apps

I was sorry that Dragon Go shows up as incompatible.
Found a legit mirror copy of the APK here: http://www.apktops.com/dragon-go-1-1-1.html (look for the download from apktops link).
It works, but you can't see the top bar in landscape orientation. Have to remember to flip the tablet to portrait to see the top bar after you get results.

3D top and bottom bars?

Hi guys,
I hope this is the correct place to ask this. I have had a few searches through this thread and any others dealing with the Manilla 2D skins and I have not found the answer (of course, I could be searching for the wrong things!).
I am using SJ's excellent HDIII (seen here) and have the same very top and bottom bars (3d look, light colour at top fading to a dark colour at bottom). I am trying to make mine have the solid black top and bottom bars, but no skin I try to install seems to do that.
Now on thinking about it, I doubt this is anything to do with Manilla as it is not within the program area. Can anyone point me in the direction of how to change these bars? I am sure I can remember from about a year ago someone asking for the same?
Many thanks in advance, and I hope this makes sense.
http://www.freewarepocketpc.net/ppc-download-htc-diamond-theme.html
Just download this Theme (its a .tsk file).
Put the file it into your main windows folder of your pocket pc.
Then go to Settings>Today
Then choose DiamondQVGA from the list and then hit ok in top right corner.
This will give you the flat black colors you want.
That is the simplest way I know of doing it. However there is this program http://www.freewarepocketpc.net/ppc-download-ui-tweaker-v0-5-3.html
I have never used it but it looks like it may do what you want.
Hope I was of some help.
Thanks!
I am afraid that the linked tsk did not work to give me these so called 'flat bars', but it gave me a good place to start looking on these forums! Did a search on flat bars and found a vista tsk that did give me the flat bars I was after!
Thanks very much again!
Did you take a look at RCMOD if it does what you want?
or u can search for raiisak's cab file called black bars.
I did it successfully with UI Tweaker mentioned in post #2.

How to stretch image in Landscape??

I'm trying to use my own pictures as Today screen image
ISSUE 1: I've no idea why, but the images i download from here for wallpapers fit perfectly into WM6.5. Images i use that used to also fit perfectly in 6.1 are now tiled, the bottom task bar is showing the top of the same image instead. Just that small problem.
ISSUE 2: Images i use are tiled in landscape, any way to stretch it? I tried using Theme Maker X but that program has the same issue, only one image for Portrait and Landscape, hence Landscape is tiled. Weirdly i cannot place a different image for landscape in that program , i thought i could edit and resize it.
Any work arounds?
bump the thread
images should be 640x640 to work best and eliminate tiled problem

Omnislash Live Wallpaper! Download link/instructions included!

Hello everyone! New to the forums here and JUST rooted my Aria over the weekend. In my personal way of giving back I'd like to make available this sweet Omnislash live wallpaper I put together. In order to use the wallpaper, you need the app LWP Creator from the app store. If you can't find it in the app store for what ever reason you can alternatively navigate to this webpage:
http://www.simproduction.com/lwpcreator.html
on your phones browser. Then click the link ownload me (Android only link)
This will take you to the application in the market. Download and Install.
Next you'll need to download my Omnislash folder which simply contains the live wallpaper frame by frame in .png format. You can download that here:
http://www.mediafire.com/file/orzyp29tk2w2rd9/omnislash.zip
After you download the folder, unzip it and move it to your phone's SD Card.
I recommend putting it in the Download folder on the SD Card to make it easy to find but you can put it anywhere you like.
Once it's on your SD Card disconnect your phone from your computer and let the SD Card remount on the phone. Then, on the main screen on your phone, tap and hold on any blank area. As if you were adding a widget or application, and scroll down to wallpapers on that menu.
Then scroll down to live wallpapers at the bottom of the next menu. If you don't see the live wallpapers option the livewallpapers.apk is not installed on your phone. If you need help installing that just post, I or someone here will help you.
In the live wallpapers you should see an option called LWP Creator. If you do not see this option you do not have the LWP Creator app installed (See above). If you do have the app installed, tap the LWP Creator. There should be some yellow text on the screen talkin some nonsense about folder paths. Ignore that.
Tap settings on the bottom right. In this menu make sure "Sd card?" is checked which it should be by default. Then tap folder path just below it. Navigate to where you put the Omnislash folder on your SD Card. After you find the folder, tap it.
You should now see several files named 01.png 02.png 03.png etc... Select the third option on the bottom of the screen called select all. There should now be a red X next to all of the png files. Now tap Submit, the left option.
It will now take you back to the main settings screen. Here you can edit the framerate of the wallpaper and the Placement and Sizing. I just set the frame rate to 60 fps and that looks nice. It still looks nice on lower frame rates and lower framerates are more battery efficient.
Then on the Placement and Sizing option, select Middle (No resizing). After setting the options tap the back button on the phone and you should see the animation playing! If so tap the set wallpaper button on the bottom left and watch as Cloud Strife rapes face behind all your awesome apps. If you didn't see the animation you did something wrong and need to read all this again -.-
I hope who ever uses this enjoys it, I know I do. And thanks again for all the people that helped me make my Aria as awesome as it should be,
Enjoy!!!
Here is a link to the video I used to make the wallpaper. The wallpaper plays from 1:02 to the end of the video. It does not include the little screen that the person put in that video if you happen to see that when you click at 1:02...

Since no one has commented id like to be the first to say that its amazing great job i just wish there was a way the images could fit the whole screen

First off, thanks for the reply! I was beginning to think there were no FF7 fans on here... heresy I know... Secondly, it does in fact hit the whole screen! Return to the LWP Creator via the method explained above. When you enter the settings screen, look for a scaling option. I made the wallpaper to fit perfectly in landscape mode, I'm guessing it's not fitting because you use your phone in portrait mode, I still have all of the original files, I guess I can also upload a portrait version, will post a link soon. Thanks again for enjoying it!
Ugh, nevermind... Sorry, but resizing the video for portrait mode makes it stretch in an ugly way. It's basically the same as the normal wallpaper viewed in portrait mode, only stretched vertically a bit more, still has black bars on the top and bottom... Unless you REALLY want it I'm going to hold off on making it...
If you're using CM6, R01, you could do what I do and use the phone in constant landscape mode. The ADW allows for the actions on upswipe and down swipe motions on the screen. I have my phone set to only 1 home screen, so no scrolling.
Then, I have the 5 ADW action buttons over on the right, they also have no background and look very nice. (click link for pic!)
http://www.mediafire.com/i/?0e42r757wh26xsu
Then when I slide down, those 5 disappear and 5 new ones appear with the faded black on the right. (click link for pic!)
http://www.mediafire.com/i/?9p09c9d6con9297
Then sliding up on the home screen brings up my app drawer. (click link for pic!)
http://www.mediafire.com/i/?khy9fg14x56gldg
Also, I have the Power management widget with a transparent background off to the left. This setup makes it very easy to get to any of my apps without the need of multiple home screens, plus, the omnislash LWP looks amazing. I'm also running dumfuq's OC kernel at 806Mhz. This runs the wallpaper incredibly well, (plus it allows for 100% super nintendo emulation with sound! (doesn't help with PSX very much though -.-)) Check out these pics!
I really hope people, especially FF fans, check this out. From one fan to another, this came out REALLY well, and it's by far the best final fantasy wallpaper out there, and believe me, I checked...
Also, if you're feeling particularly lazy... feel free to post a youtube URL along with the start and stop times of a live wallpaper you'd like and I'd be happy to get it for you. They will be formatted to work with the LWP Creator app with the instructions provided in the first post. Try to pick short clips, for example, the omnislash wallpaper is about a minute long, the LWP Creator allows for 300 total frames, this allowed the video to be about 9.5 frames per second. The shorter the video, the more FPS, more FPS, the better it looks.
I look forward to your requests!
Yea i use my phone in portrait mode but no prob man i love the wallpaper.

[Q] Scrolling background problems

Hi,
I searched but I couldn't find posts saying how to fix this.
I had a background image of the NYC Skyline which I got off Zedge app, saved it and applied it. My background would scroll through the 7 screens. A week later I found another NYC Skyline dusk picture and I decided to download it and apply that. However when I did, it did not scroll, it was just a static picture.
So I decided to go back to the NYC Skyline (original one) that did scroll, when I applied it, it no longer scrolled.
The only ones I have now that scroll are under the "wallpapers" section of my phone, however all the ones I downloaded from Zedge under Gallery->"wallpapers" category no longer scroll.
Why did this happen, what am I doing wrong? How can I fix this.

[Guide] Theme with transparent icons

At the request of a number of people, here's a little tutorial explaining how I made the theme below, I called abstract theme (do not ask me why ...)
(Note that I am not the inventor of this type of theme, I am inspired by many themes I have seen on other forums, I thank very much the creators of wallpapers I used (I never remind theyre names except EG Fox, sorry for that))
These examples where created for the Dell Streak but this guide can be used for every android phone, just use the good resolution for the wallpaper
1/ So, to start, install Launcherpro (you can also take the "plus" but paying)
2/ Adjust the settings you prefer (this is only the parameters related to the theme I present now, but there are other possible parameters):
- Number of pages, the default page, the number of columns, the number of lines (to position your shortcuts, personally I have 8 columns and 8 rows) => Menu / Settings / Homescreen Settings
- Number of dock (the dock is the Quick Launch bar that is located right in landscape mode, you have 5 possible shortcuts in one dock and it is possible to have up to 3 docks (to slide up or down on the dock) => Menu / Preferences / Dock Settings (you can also specify, if you choose to put shortcuts telephone, email and sms on the dock, if you want to be displayed a count of unread events)
- The bottom of the Dock (in the theme as an example, I have no background) => Menu / Preferences / Appearance Settings / Dock Background / None (if you want to put a custom dock by you or found on the net, then you must choose "Custom" and pick the dock from your SD card)
3/ Choose your screen and resize it at 800x480. So that the bottom is not distorted, use Multipicture Live Wallpaper which allows you to set a different wallpaper per page (if desired). Multipicture Live Wallpaperr is managed as an animated wallpaper
The bottom will not be distorted but the 36 Pxls top will be hidden by the notification bar.
4/ Then you need to know, based on the number of rows and columns you have chosen, where you must place your text on the wallpaper. To do so, complete page fully of shortcuts. Then made a screenshot, I recommend the excellent ScreenShot
5/ On your PC, using your editing software (photoshop, photofiltre ... etc.) you can have your wallpaper nude and the screen as it will be on your Streak with the location where applications will be.
So place your text on your nude background by ensuring that these areas are easily covered by applications..
Your wallpaper is ready !
6/ Now install Desktop Visualizer, which allows you to put shortcuts transparent (especially)
(For those who could not find it on the Market : http://www.partage-facile.com/GYV6DGY6CW/jp.co.bii.android.app.dskvzr.apk.html )
7/ Desktop Visualizer works as a widget : long press on background / add a widget and choose desktop visualizer (it has different sizes, choose the one that best fits the space you have planned for your shortcut)
DV lets you choose the icon of the application to launch, get the transparent icon on your SD card (if you do not have a transparent icon, here's one : http://www.partage-facile.com/0GJIEOUAO0/transparent.png.html )
Then select the application you want to start.
Delete the text of the application and confirm (you can change or remove the highlighting that appears when you press the link to the application you're using, otherwise it will be orange)
8/ Once you've validated, you see nothing changed on the screen, it is normal because you have placed a transparent icon ! The link will always be placed to the top left corner of your home. Make a mong press along the top left, your widget will be highlighted by launcherpro.
You may notice a kind of tab in the lower right corner of your shortcut, by pressing and holding down while moving your finger, you can resize your widget as you like.
So give the desired size for your shortcut and press "back", the highlight disappears. Now made a long press on the top left of the streak and held down, move your widget transparent to the place you want on your home. (To verify that it is well positioned, have a long support for and release to highlight it)
Do this for each shortcut you provided on your screen.
9/ The last step is the Dock. You've already put in the dock transparent, but it remains the shortcuts on the dock that are visible.
Make a long press on shortcuts, you can either change an icon (change icon/custom icon) or change the shortcut and put any you want and you can still choose the transparent icon before finalizing this shortcut.
Then, I think I pretty much said it all. To summarize, here is my wallpaper ith some details :
This is obviously a simple example that you described above some customization capabilities. Unleash your imagination and make us great themes!
I hope I was clear about (and sorry for my english), do not hesitate if you have questions or additions
Some other example of themes done with this method :

No issue with more than one screen, just use multipicture live wallpaper to choose wich wallpaper you want for each screen.
