Damn I must flash it today 11 p.m here
Sent from my GT540 running CM7

hii , thanks for this
looks nice rom , flashing now
Q: how much system partation do i need for this rom?

A new aokp rom. interesting. Will flash today. Thankssss !!!
Sent from my LG-GT540 using Tapatalk 2

Thanks! Downloading right now and preparing to test it.
What is system partition required for this rom?
And, can anyone make a little review of the rom (from those who are testing it)? (just know while i'm waiting to flash it =D )
EDIT:
- Very good ICS rom. Is pretty fast (even without swap and OC, i'm not using them right now) and AOKP rocks.
- Apex sometimes give ARN error (no response error) but is faster and smoother than Trebuchet.
- The phone sometimes hang for a while.
- Miro's kernel in this rom rocks!
- With Apex locked in memory i get 37-50mb of ram free =D (awesome!)
- Wheather bar in statusbar is great.
- Sometimes i couldn't unlock the phone. The times that happend: I was playing music and downloading an app from the GPlay, the phone locked (because i didn't touch the screen in a while) but when i tried to unlock it the "unlock screen" didn't appear, the music was still playing and I had to pull the battery to reboot. After 3 reboots that "bug" didn't appear anymore (weird).
- It's impossible to see see videos recorded with camera (video recorder) in gallery (because the leak of HQ codecs)
- Happend one time (a few minutes ago): suddenly i couldn't open any "keyboard related app" (including language submenu in System app). The keyboard turned completely black. Weird. Reboot solved that problem...
- Better screen sensitivity.
- NEW! Like in miro's CM9 voice actions don't work.
- I will be back with more

Yes, just like AOKP ASIS by DevSwift with Miro's Kernel, this rom is rock and even more stable in my opinion.
Pros:
- Better touch sensitive (or not?)
- A little bit faster
- Latest AOKP update
Cons:
- Cant view recorded video
- HQ videos are still lag as hell (because the lack of codecs, we all know it )
In overall, another good ICS (may be the best) rom for our old phone Thanks and congrats the developers

My recomendation: DON'T LOCK APEX IN MEMORY!!! I think that is causing my errors with keyboard, and laucher goes crazy sometimes (fc's without error message when try to open Apex configurations.

Because nobody figured out how to do it yet! There's no inherent reason it works with .29 and doesn't with .35: it can be made somehow.

can anyone tell me of a good backup app
i've heard of titanium backup but never used it, does anyone recommend it?

Say from Galnet:
To mark our new partnership with XIAHOST.com and to mark our success at merging ICS with MIUI frameworks we have officially taking it on board to support all 17 official MIUI China Roms. We will be supporting all 17 roms from now on, and better still our stable builds will now include the ICS framework as standard.
We can’t thank XIAHOST.com enough as without their support this wouldn’t be possible!

BUG Reports:
No more major bugs***if found -
It'll be updated with logs from main site
Follow:
**Stick to the kernel which is included in the roms. We can't help you if your on another kernel.
What we would advice is running a kernel cleaning script and full wipe everything and reflash the new rom. If it fails after this reflash without wipe and that should resolve the issue.

Dunno, battery seem pretty good to me. With normal usage I am down to 59% after a full day at work, and i started with around 85%.
working pretty well for me. using this nice ics theme.
on Tiamat 1.1.4 kernel.
So the looks of this ICS Build is exactly like the MIUI based on GB... Right?
Any Screenshot?
ok here is a small guide for those who find it difficult to change the LANGUAGE from chinese to any other. (English here)
First click menu on your homescreen and select the red item.
Now you will see this.Click on the red item again.
Now on this screen scroll down at the bottom and click the red item which is 7th from the bottom.
Now select the red item from this screen.
This is it! Select your language (English here) and click the red item.
Bingo! You are done
Very cool and easily made to look like ICS using the Black Ice theme. A little playing around and you can have a ICSish feel to play with for fun, if your looking for something different this is well worth the trial
Very cool, not totally ICS but it's something fun to try Looking forward to the future updates, great stuff!

[ICS] CM9 Photon alpha13 build for Atrix - Test build 8 (15/01/2012)

Important notice: I will no longer be maintaining this build.
I will put my effort in jokersax11 roms since it will be an original Atrix build (so better than a port).
jokersax11 CM9 thread
Download page
The goal was to provide the Atrix community with a taste of ICS (goal I think I manage to accomplished), for time reason I will put my effort on helping the great Joker since is progress in it's Atrix CM9 build have now equal (or surpass) the work of the best port I could do.
Thanks to all of you for your kind word and cheering, I will make sure that our beloved Atrix get the best he deserve.
--- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- ---
First of all I would like to thanks the Atrix Dev Team, wrldsuksgo2mars, jokersax11 and the Photon dev team. Without them this build would have never seen the light.
I've compile the Photon ICS CM9 alpha13 for the Atrix.
I will maintain this build updated with the latest change the Photon dev team (jokersax11) are making and try to correct bug releated to the Atrix.

The Softkey light turn on after few minutes of use.
Media scan not happening on boot.
When the battery is full charged, the battery icon on the notification bar disappears. Because of this, it has another amazing function, it shows how much percent you have overcharged (thanks to alistair3149)
Wallpaper is unscrollable in Trebuchet, use Nova launcher to use this function. It's a bug with the launcher (thanks to wywerny)
Getting a random offset number during installation, due to a bug in the installation script (no to worry the install is completed when the offset happens). (thanks to munchkers13)

No the fingerprint sensor don't work, but I will look into it. Since the new major feature of ICS is Facelock I'm currently working on making the camera driver to work (it's currently taking all the time I got for dev right now).
Thanks so much for this!
I am not able to get Wi-Fi to work. I enable it but it does not start.
Successfully flashed. Everything that suppose to works are working great so far. So much improvement from last time i flash this. Only thing missing is my softkey backlight doesn't come on.

It's currently a bug I've found out, after the initial install the wifi do not trigger, trigger the activation and reboot the phone, then you will have no more problem.
I will fix this in the next release, in the meantime rebooting the phone after the initial install correct the problem.

great work. loving the rom. can't wait for kenex and camera bug to be worked out so I can switch over.
Glad that one person is nice enough to stop in and say thanks
I appreciate the work and am probably going to flash one of these today.
Does this one (CM9 based) have any bluetooth issues? I was on Hash's CM9 before Blackhole and couldn't get bluetooth to pair in my truck. I'm going to try this one today most likely and then try the Blur based ROM if it doesn't work for me.
Thanks for all the options. Its great that you're putting in the effort to allow us to pick the shortcomings we have to live with (until a perfect solution comes out...fingers crossed that will be soon)

Battery Life?
Great work man! I've had a couple issues though.
Battery life is not good at all. I can see the battery percentage drop while I'm using the phone. I'm living off the wall charger.
Sometimes when I lock the screen the menu keys stay lit up. I try battery pulls and they still stay on. Most of the time though they turn off. I've run into that problem 3 out of the past 6 days using it.
My car charger does not work. It recognizes it and says it's charging but doesn't charge. When I was trying to charge it, navigation was running. Don't know if that makes a difference.
I seriously love everything about this except for those couple of things. I'm hesitant to change roms but I might just because I need better battery life.
Just installed this. Works great. Thanks for the great work
Hey guys,
Does this have the same customizations as the original Liquid had?
Lockscreen, status bar, etc?
nm.....I see that it does....
I liked the status bar tweaks from 1.5mr.....but this rom seems NICE!

Does this have the same customizations as the original Liquid had?

...please God include the emergency notifications somehow... so tired of receiving garbled text messages... I've tried everything to fix this issue but can't... anyone have any ideas?

Hmm, it seems the wifi is killing the battery.....anyone else seeign this?
im on wifi, i unplugged from full charge, 47 min, and already at 80%
Went into battery info, an says 54% used by wifi....huh????
Ok, no disrespect to the author, as I still love and use this ROM. But it seems the battery life is slightly less then the original Liquid.
Quick observation, seems like regardless of what governor I use, something is causing the CPU to max every 4 to 6 seconds. Where as on original Liquid....if you had min of 300 set, it would sit at 300 with nothing else...
Anyone else notice this?
will there be any continual development on this ROM with future updates?

This is more cm9 than liquid. I miss liquid to but dhacker never replied they seem to do their own thing. Its just updated. I may uodate eventually and yes i notice the wifi drain it drives me crazy

I'd like to say thanks! I just found 1.1 I'm on 1.0 and have been loving it past few days.. I have noticed the excessive battery drain but I do use wifi a lot at my house to save data.
Also, I really love the includes on this rom,
Yeah, I noticed the same on other CM9's.
One thing I did play around with, was the wifi scan interval. I know the value is in seconds, however, I tried 90 to 180, and got same battery drain. I changed the value to 360, and noticed tremendous improvement. Get 3 hours every 10%. Odd thing is, I'm realy not sure what "wifi scan interval" means. Is this how often it checks? I'm finding, the min I turn wifi on, it connects immediately. If I'm driving, and I pull in my driveway, it connects immediately, regardless of what the value is.
For me, changing it to 360 gave me much better results.....

Anyway,Gud luck...

This ROM is based on Rashed97 Build 7, so the bugs are the same, i thing
No, the status bar is 4.1.2
Only camera, clock and settings have 4.2.1
Now that I remember, when I started the camera app, a notification about the geo tag appeared and the camera started flickering, the flickering stopped when I managed to hit the ok button on the notification message, I don't know if that's normal.

Ive had my p500 for almost a year now and still have the original rom running on it, but this looks promissing, ill flash this in a couple days (generally im playing/dev'n for my gallaxy tab 2 7 inch, lotta fun) :victory:
google play store seems not working for me ?
Guess I missed this one. Followed a friend here. Just installed, and set up. Installing gapps to cache is a new one for me. Don't wipe cache unless you want to reinstall gapps? This is a lot easier than trimming the rom though. Was surprised to see build and kernel by arjen. Haven't been following him lately. I'll have to look. Only problem with play store I've had, is that gmail won't update, and is not listed as installed in " my apps ". It says that it's not properly signed, and to uninstall current version before updating. So far, playback of previously recorded video and streaming from gallery is flawless. Newly recorded video stops after a few seconds, however (camcorder issue). I assume that this would be a listed bug on arjen's thread. Anyway, was curious about system space when I first saw this, so of course, I had to flash. Good job man. I learned something new today.
Edit: Oh yeah, rashed used arjen's build server. Guess I forgot.

Attention
Always do a backup before flashing, responsibility lies with the operator of the device ultimately
General Features
- MIUI Apps
- MIUI framework themes
- This is like an 'Open' MIUI, hard to describe.
Known Annoyances
- LED function key lights don't turn on, broken is a strong word, some circles would call it a feature rofl ;l
Instructions
Do a full wipe and install via the usual method in CWM or touch recovery, whichever you use
Download

Big thanks to
Specifically every person here that does work on the Exhibit, from developing to just making constructive posts!
Especially Camcory, and all the source builders!
Misc Notes
Rom is pretty much finished; I modified the MIUI auto-porter for general use; assuming I did correct edits this should make maintaining all my ICS and JB projects somewhat easier.
...and will reduce the likelihood that I make a sloppy mistake with prep work.
Please leave feedback!
Wow. o.o Cool ROM.
LED keyboard lights will probably be forever broke on this release until we get a BLN kernel, but I don't know enough about it to build one as of right now.
we wont ever get a bln kernel just fyi

Yeouch, hahaha
the led lights turn on when you press the brightness in the toggles..
its somewhat similar to one of the custom roms you made.. i think it was MIUI GB if i;m not mistaken..
hehe just saying what i observed.
but really cool rom though.. hehe.
Oh snap looks amazing! Can't wait to try this, thanks!
I'm going to try different bases to try to resolve the lights issue but I will be uploading a more 'polished' version of this rom momentarily, the lights issue in this build is related to the kernel and this phone is probably not going to get a BLN kernel ever so I must explore other avenues, but for now the rom is excellent in style feel and speed so the lack of LED lights isn't a huge deal
Bump, LED Lights are broken but I've optimized this rom and added all missing things, outside of lights this is now stable
Well i'm trying out this ROM since it has some aspects of MIUI... so far I love how fast and smooth it is. I do miss some of the features of MIUI.. like mixing Themes.. (love the IOS Chat, IFEEL lockscreen, etc..)
I do love that I can do the status bar brightness slide, and the expandable notifications... I do miss the apps all being listed on the home screens... and on this ROM I can't find out to delete the unused screens... i'm curious to see how the battery life is on this ROM.
Thank you for all the hard work.
** UPDATE **
I wasn't able to download anything from the PlayStore (Including updates) (got an error code)
I also wasn't able to access the External SD Card with the file explorer... showed SD 0
Do a proper wipe and re-flash; sometimes during the flash for any rom rarely USB mounting will not work; I don't know what causes this but this rom USB mounts for me fine.. I can DL playstore stuff fine too.
Also in 'Themes' there are multiple iOS themes lol

I was testing new versions of this and did encounter the exact bug you're talking about; I have no idea what causes it but when I reflashed AvatarRom after wiping it, USB mounting was working fine.
GPS is working fine out of the box, this doesn't use Baidu like MIUI for location services

I reflashed and I am able to download from the Play Store.. guess it was just a fluke when I first flashed this ROM.
Regarding USB mounting - I believe it was mounted fine the first time, but I wasn't sure how to find it using the stock file explorer you have on this.. so I downloaded ES explorer, and was able to see my external card.. so that works perfectly.
I look forward to testing this more and letting you know. Thank you for all your hard work and quick responses. I do love how fast and smooth this runs! I just hope the battery is good.. then i'll be very happy!
I did see that the texting bubbles are yellow ?! LOL
Are you able to lock the pull down on the lockscreen like it is on MIUI?

I agree!
My assessment is:
PROS:
Smooth and Fast
Cobalt Blue Theme is awesome
Status Bar Brightness Control
Lockscreen is responsive and smoothe
So far everything functions properly
Love the App open and close graphic
Awesome Boot Animation
Toggle Buttons / customizable.
Lots of Ringtones / Notification sounds
Google Now works great
CONS:
Lockscreen is not truly locked - can still access the drop down notification bar
Themes are not mixable
Battery life - I put a fresh battery in at 10pm - at 6am it was already down to 89%.. by 8:00am after some use it was 81%
Unable to remove unused homescreens
Slightly longer boot time.
Odd yellow / green color scheme for text messages
Overall this is a great ROM! Thank you ! :good:
