What's about CM10 - Galaxy S I9000 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I want not talk to much
Just want to create a topic where people can write their news about CM 10.
I think such a thread could be interesting for people that followed the Google I/O, and heard from Android 4.1 - Jelly Bean ;-)
So let's start the topic ;-)

OMG... so bad of the devs to not even have ported Jellybean yet!
Just kidding, not one of the average xda-trolls. Hoping someone will port it but as long as the source isn't released, with only the sdk there will be alot of bugs. Apprecciate all of your work devs

It will be better then cm9 and have 4.1 features. Cool!
My stock GS3 is kind of like CM9

So it's going to be called CM10?
Thought it would be CM9.1 as I think google said jelly bean isn't a major revision or something

CMX . Enough said

CM9.1 fits well, but CMX sounds awesome.
The X makes it cool

CMX is too awesome for just minor change from ICS to JB...the outer side is not much different. Only improvement of inner side..

But Honeycomb was a minor update to Gingerbread and it was going to be cm8, which is why ICS ended up as cm9.

Why are u guys discussing on such a stupid topic. There will be jb for sgs. There will be cm10. Just wait for the source to open. No need to fill xda with ****ty discussions.

I can only say "Soon". Keep looking at this space.
Like you guys might already know, not much changes. JB is said to be fast but CM9 is already at par. Can't confirm much at the moment. But keep looking out here.
Thanks.

I will NOT fix the bugs, and you should NOT complain to CyanogenMod because KANG SUPPORT IS NOT WHAT THEY'RE SUPPOSED TO DO. THIS IS A PREVIEW.
Anyway, thanks! although the previous one is cleary stated KANGed.
Thanks...
I installed the first one and have been using this all day. It is MUCH faster and smoother then the HC 3.1 and 3.2 ROM's I have been using. I am REALLY looking forward to the final release.
Thank you for this preview..

"Theme chooser screenshots" is a confusing thread title - you want screenshots of the theme chooser app? Don't quite get it dude.
You should change the title to "Favorite Theme Chooser Themes" or something similar. It'll help reduce the hate from these other members a little

There should be no problem, if we get drivers for Tegra2. The XOOM gets JB, which means JB will run on Tegra2. The Nexus S will get JB, too. So there should be no problem with 512 MB RAM,

Hi oOo B0XeR oOo, couldn't we simply ask the hacker group Anonymous to hack NVIDIA and get the much needed drivers? You are right, NVIDIA are a bunch of slack bas****s, and will most likely never release what we need. Damn!

NVidia is smart. They wouldn't leave it on an internet connected computer. Only on a LAN, that is inaccessible from the internet. Only to employees with password.
JB on O2X would be awesome , but as of now , I don't think even the ICS roms are pretty stable when it comes to total stability in all fronts :/
Nova seemed to be the best of the lot , still crashes a lot when using some apps and no 3D acceleration n even unable record videos , so how good would a JB release be?
Surely would love to use it n waiting for it since I believe our device can handle it

There won't be official JB for our phone for a simple reason: 8 months after, we still don't have official ICS.
If we are lucky we'll have CM10 or AOSP based ROM, hacked to run with old GB drivers.

Thank you darling, done.
I guess we won't get official JB from LG anymore, but as soon as we get ICS (which will be God knows when but I still have faith it will happen eventually) the Custom ROMs will surely be able to give us JB, since it is only incremental over ICS:
I imagine every JB ROM currently in development will have, at the very least, the same limitations as the ICS ROMs for the O2x have. Just keep in mind that no release for any other Tegra2 based device will do us any good since the platforms differ in ways that will make reverse engineering or serious hacking necessary to make it work, which is infeasible to do if you are a non-profit dev.
I agree this thread has to be moved to the Q&A section. I just wanted to give my 2 cents
But is LG not obligated to deliver JB to the LG O2X? It was released march 2011. JB was released June 2012. Didn't LG sign to the 18 months rule by Google? They also did release a white one later.

ICS is enough, JB actually have not many difference with ICS as GB! Wait long time, LG software teams stuck!

Maybe a stupid question, ice leak, Tegra driver for jb?

Probably get flamed, trolled or whatever you call it.
Had a look about but couldn't see anyone talking about it, probably because people haven't had chance yet.
But because there is ics with working Tehran drivers, would this mean they can be ported to jb Roms?

working Tegra drivers have already been ported to JB ROMs - that's exactly what CyanogenMod 10 is! In fact many phones that received ICS but not JB were able to get JB custom ROMs using ICS drivers, regardless of their hardware.
edit: I've been had, this is a troll!

Well I guess you'll be out of luck for all new phones in that case. I'm not even sure there are drivers for ICS available for the APQ8064. Qualcomm had it running on their reference platform quite a while ago, but all devices with an APQ8064 were brought to market with Jelly Bean.

So because you've got apps that you can't be bothered replacing, that aren't maintained any more because the devs can't be bothered... you expect sony to release a totally different OS for their phone? Or, how about you just find replacement apps, or pester the lazy devs into updating. This is totally not an issue from Sony,.,,, just lazy app devs.

I did say I only wished for it. Never demanded or at the very least ask for it so no biggie with that. Also you can't bother any dev who decided to discontinue support for their apps so yeah pretty much either getting newer alternatives or live without those apps. Some of the noteable apps I was saying was the chainfire 3d and flash player. So good luck bothering adobe for asking to continue flash for jellybean and about chainfire? There are hundreds of android users who asked him to make chainfire 3d work for ICS and above but he said it's just too hard or worse not possible and most of all you can't say they're lazy devs.
