Community Video Guides and Impressions - Nexus 7 General

Community Video Guides and Impressions
So i thought we as a community should make a thread to unify some videos that would help those that are entering in the Nexus 7 XDA Community for the first time.
Guide to Unlocking Bootloader / Installing Clockwordmod / Getting Root with Root Toolkit
How to return to Stock / Unbrick Nexus 7
If you would like to share some helpful videos for the community just pm me and i''ll add it to the thread.

Awesome idea. I find video guides way easier to follow. Keep it up. Maybe Tablet UI how to and walk through?

Super one click root
Hey all,
I just saw a youtube video on a root method called super one click.
Would that work for my nexus one 2.2.1 frg83d???
Please help.
I really want a easy root for my phone.
Sent from my Nexus One using XDA App
Yes it's really easy. I rooted my phone using that just 2 days ago. Only things you need to do is download the android sdk download the driver and the adb file. The unlockr.com has a tutorial on how to set up your driver. Then after that you connect your phone and download that super one click and use it. Good luck

thanks.
So you sure I could use it for frg83d?
Sent from my Nexus One using XDA App
The link I gave you in your other post suggested reading the wiki. The wiki will tell you what methods still work for FRG83D...
Yes, it will work...

Hey I just want to know what is the easyest way to root a nexus one frg83d.
I already have the unlocked padlock.
Please explain here and don't give some link. Thanks.

Good grief Charlie Brown - how many times do you need to ask the same question?
Since your bootloader is unlocked, just fastboot flashort a custom recovery, then use to install a custom ROM or rooted stock ROM...

Put some effort into searching.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=705460
Also, see the Wiki Sticky thread above yours...
Can't believe he'd come in here to say "explain here and don't give links".
What does he expect? Pretty much if he can't handle figuring it out from the wiki or guides out there, he shouldn't be rooting at all.

Hi there. Welcome to the Internet. Let me explain to you how a forum works.
1) People make posts to contribute to the overall knowledge bank of the forum.
2) The posts stick around - forever. No information is ever lost.
3) If someone has an issue that isn't previously covered by another post, they post a new post looking for clarification. That post (and the posts that answer the post) also stick around forever.
4) Before you (the user) make a new post, you are expected to look around to see if your question has been answered before. This keeps the forum from being cluttered with redundant posts, and makes the useful posts easier to find.
5) You will have to click links, read multiple posts, and do a little bit of thinking and processing on your own to use what you have learned.
Please, search. Even easier, just look at the stickied threads at the top of the board. They contain links to information that covers everything you need. No one here is going to hold your hand every step of the way, at least not until you put forth some effort of your own - like the two minutes of effort to look around the board and find the information you need. If you aren't willing to put forth that effort, and expect someone to hold your hand, you really do not have any business trying to hack your device. You'll just break it, and won't know how to fix it.

It was edited on a separate computer, but all shot were captured with the Tab. We only had about an hour to take all our shots so not all of them are great.
We'll be doing another mission soon and this time we won't have a time limit, so it should be even better.
Hey bossman, could you make the image in your signature a little bigger please? I think I can still see some of the forum around the edges

Was wanting to see if we could start a bootanimation Thread that only has bootanimation. So here you go, I personally do not have a boot to post but was hoping this would make things easier for people.
Please give credit to those that made it. if you are just posting here for others... i also can not post links yet so. please help fill the thread
That is funny I was literally thinking about starting this thread earlier today. The one I am currently using is the high def droid peeing on apple.

On Gingerbread, you have to rename those files "bootani" or something. (Sanim.zip?) Anyway, I could never get them to work after Froyo.

Becoming a tech journalist

As a child reading Nintendo Power (R.I.P) I always had thoughts of journalism. Now I have more of a interest in tech other than video games. I really want to give this a try. I would love to write about android and other tech maybe even back to video games . My only issue is I don't know where to start or what a lot of people want in written reviews and editorials. So my question is does anyone have any tips to get started. I have my own word press and I'm practicing writing the feed back would be great. I would be thankful for any help and hopefully I can get someone from the site to give me a few pointers
