No way. Can only flash .tar or .tar.md5 using desktop / PC Odin.

Thanks!
Can you help me about one more little thing?
I have rooted my Galaxy Note and downloaded the v08 file from the: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1516515
Inside the .tar file i found this files: cache.img; data.img; factoryfs.img; hidden.img and zImage.
What file i have to open in Mobile Odin to install the ICS in my Galaxy Note?
I guess it's:
Kernel: zImage
System: factoryfs.img
Data: data.img
Cache: cache.img
Hidden: hidden.img
Is that correct? Sorry about the silly question, but it's better sound like a noob to get a mobile bricked! lol
Thanks!

If you want to install stock ICS, you dont need to select it manually
Just in Mobile odin, select open file and point to tar file. It will popup and fill file autometically to according tab then just flash.
You can do it with PC Odin too.
Just select PDA tab and point to .tar file and flash.

In addition, mobile odin will not let you select the wrong file. So, don't worry. Everbody was once a noob

So, i follow the steps to install the "imilka's AOSP ICS v08 [IMM76D/4.0.4]".
1. Downloading the latest version of "imilka's AOSP ICS v08 [IMM76D/4.0.4]" (v08);
2. Flash my Galaxy Note with Android 2.3.6 using Odin for WIndows;
3. Wipe Cache / Factory Reset;
4. Flash my Galaxy Note with Android 4.0.4 using Odin for WIndows;
5. Root my device and install the Mobile Odin Pro;
6. Flash my Galaxy Note with the latest (v08) "imilka's AOSP ICS v08 [IMM76D/4.0.4]" using Mobile Odin Pro;
But, when my Galaxy Note reboot, his show the status bar with the rest of screen black, some seconds after the android displays the following error: "unfortunately twlauncher has stopped" and reboot again.
Then, the Galaxy Note loads the Android 4.0.3 with TouchWiz just like the stock samsung version, with s-note, s-etcetera.. lol
Any sugestions?
Thanks!

You can flash the GB again, and why the need to flash 4.0.4 again?
So far as i heard it is a risky kernel.
Doesnt the custom rom zip you specified can be installed from cwm on gb kernel?

Because i can't run CWM with 2.3.6 (for root it), i always got an error. And i don't found any source to download the compatible CWM

Usually AOSP based ROM is installed via CWM recovery, i.e. flash rom, flash gapps, done. How did you do it with Mobile Odin?

1. I downloaded the rom v08 (.tar file) from the: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1516515

3. Install Mobile Odin Pro

5. Select in Mobile Odin the following options:
Kernel -> file: zImage
System -> file: factoryfs.img
Data -> file: data.img
Cache -> file: cache.img
Hidden -> file: hidden.img
Modem -> none
Params -> none
Then, flash!

There are 2 parts of installation:
1. Install the base, which is official ICS -> odin
Root it, get a working CWM recovery with disabled brickbug,
2. Flash the aospgnxx.zip -> CWM

With Official ICS you mean "the" Samsung official ICS? Can be the 4.0.4 (Open Germany) recently released?
"Root it, get a working CWM recovery with disabled brickbug"
Ok about root. But CWM with "disabled brickbug"? How can i get it?
And where do i found the aospgnxx.zip to download?
Thanks!

The .tar file that you downloaded is the base file, i.e. ICS. The aospgnxx.zip you can download from http://download.imilka.eu if the file is still available. The CWM with brickbug disabled, you can try speedmod or gl_notecore or goku or franco.

how i install the LP1 ICS Repack?

hi ...
how i install the LP1 ICS Repack with mobile odin?
Install Mobile Odin and Mobile Odin's Flash Kernel - if you can't find proper kernel file for your device, buy Mobile Odin Pro and it'll do it for you.
In mobile Odin, select "select file" and browse to all 5 files included in ICS repack. After that, hit "flash". Wait untill it reboots in the recovery, after it's done - do a data wipe.
You're done.

tried to flash via mobile Odin- phone restarted and booted to cwm.cwm says

then it reboots and doesn't continue.phone goes into bootloop.
tried KKA, KJ1 stock roms... no go. also tried directly flashing from rocket rom, obviously it failed miserably. any inputs?
Try wiping the cache and data. If it doesn't work then download KJ1 rom from Dr Ketan's thread and flash it via PC Odin.

I downloaded the ICS LP1 Repack, i got Mobile Odin too. We're supposed to install AbyssNote Kernel also, right? But when is that?
1/ Launch Mobile Odin and select ICS Repack (directly the TAR archive, it works)
2/ Flash WITH wipe, then install AbyssKernel?
3/ Install the ICS ROM we want.
I downloaded iMilka CM9 & ICS Stunner (will try that first). Please anyone confirm this is the right thing to do in the right order.

No. Modify your steps like this here-
1/ Launch Mobile Odin and select ICS Repack (directly the TAR archive, it works)
2/ Flash WITH wipe. Reboot and let rom settle. Then go to recovery. Wipe the cache/dalvik and data
3/ Install the ICS ROM we want. Wipe the cache/dalvik and data and reboot.
Thanks, however in Stunner ICS there's no MODEM we have to install our own it seems, they suggest LP5 but don't even provide links...

Why would anybody need ICS repak if you are on GB? If you are on GB rom, root it(either directly or downgrading and rooting with relevant CFRoot files - PC Odin). directly install ICS ROM of your choice via CWM(as rooting GB rom will install CWM auto matically if you have chosen right CFRoot files)

You lose root if you go directly from GB to custom ICS, hence the Repack step.

[Q] Galaxy Note TheMIDTeam 1.1 Codename "B&G" Problems

Hi
I had a problem occurring frequently when trying to install TheMIDTeam 1.1 Codename "B&G".
Coming from the GB stock rom that can be directly rooted (Version KL3), I was on step 1. while using mobile odin pro and select install file. I choose the midnote base 2.1 and the kernel image zimage. then i select the all the options(Everoot, su, mobile odin and wipe data/cache). i perform the md5 check and it flashes and reboots into recovery.
the problem is at this point. it reboot into recovery but it reflashes everything that was flashed in mobile odin pro and reboots again. it does this repeatedly. even if i pull out the battery and put it back and boot into it. the only way to get out of in is to use pc odin and install the stock KL3 rom.
Please help in the install of the rom...
Thanks in advance

You can download
lp1 repack from here:
http://www.mirorii.com/fichier/3/501208/I9220LP1-N7000-ICS-REPACK-tar.html
- Put it on your sd card,
- open Mobile Odin and press "open file", find lp1 repack file and select it.
- keep ever root, super user & inject mobile odin checked. Also check "wipe date and cache"
- Flash firmware
Once finished you will be in cwm recovery. Boot your device.
Then open mobile odin again and select the base file, then kernel file then repeat - keep ever root, super user & inject mobile odin checked. Also check "wipe date and cache"
- Flash firmware
Hope this helps

[Q] HELPPPPP please soft brick

Hey peeps iv got a big problem it happened yesterday with my Galaxy note GTn7000. I was on stock ICS LPT and was flashing new kernels through CWM when suddenly my phone just kept freezing on the Samsung screen when I start it up and it has been happening since yesterday. I think it was the speedmod ICS kernel that I flashed that made this happen. I flashed Abys kernel through odin and could get in to CWM. I did factory reset/wipe cache/dalvik/cache and then flashed checkrom which was on my SD card. Installation was fine but then it got stuck on the Galaxy note startup screen. I was searching for answers on the XDA forums and someone suggested that you flash a stock full wipe GB rom. So I tried to flash LC1 open Europe rom and was waiting for an hour the the rom to flash through ODIN which had only a bit left on the bar to flash and it didn’t flash it just froze. I tried 3 times and the same thing happened . I have used the USB jig to erase previous downloads and reset binary count. I flashed ICS LPT rom through odin and it flashed normally but when it starts up it gets stuck on the Samsung screen. Any suggestions? I can get into download mode and CWM so it means Im in a softbrick. Do you think I should download an ICS rom and put it on to my SD card and then try flashing it ? Help would be appreciated thanks.
Here is the video of what happens. Basically i have waited for 4 hours yesterday and it just stays on the samsung screen
Hey, Id recommend you flashing back to GB via ODIN before we continue.
ICS still has a few bugs and that could interfere with getting you back up and running.
Hey thanks i will download a new GB stock rom, i cant post the video link because im a new member dang...

So you've extracted the original tar file, you don't need to, just point the original tar file to the pda section of pc odin, it will sort out each partition for you.

[Q] Runnig ICS 4.0.4 Stock [HELP][ROOT]

Hello everyone, I've just bought my N7000, I used to have a LG P500, then a Xperia Sola, and now my amazing GALAXY NOTE !!!!
I'm reading a lot getting the info needed to get into this device and I find particulary confusing the rooting stuff.
I have found this tutorial by dr.ketan
[24sept12]How to Root/Unroot Samsung Galaxy Note + CWM
BUT acording to this thread by dr.ketan this method is dangerous.... and he says:
Present option to root ICS ROM is
So present option for rooting is - You can select any of one.
1. Short, easy - requires to reset counter
-Download Odin (.tar) version of custom kernel like Notecore, Speedmod, CF root kernel Or other any with same function.
-Flash it using PC odin for PDA tab.
-You will get exclamation mark and raised counter, which can be reset with Triangle Away
2. Long, No raised couter OR Exclamation mark
-Downgrade to Rootable GB ROM and Root it. OR Download This pre rooted GB ROM and flash using PC Odin
-Wipe cache, data and delvic cache from recovery
-Install Mobile Odin Pro
-Copy ICS ROM file in .tar (you want to flash) to Internal SD card (recommended, but you can have it on EXT too)
-Copy one of custom Kernel in .tar file e.g.Notecore, Speedmod, CF root kernel Or other any with same function.
-Open Mobile Odin Pro
-select open file
-Point to ROM file you have copied
-All fiels will popup and feel automatically
-select kernel and point to custom kernel file you have copied

as RAj says just flash the Philz kernel for the rom build from stock recovery and you will get rooted after a reboot
What about this option? is it safe?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=35512626&postcount=1
DUDE
go to Philz stock kernel thread. download the kernel that corresponds to your phone from this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1901191
reboot into recovery by doing the 3 finger salute.
flash it. and then reboot.
you are rooted and on a safe kernel.
