[15.07.2012] Hybridrom XDA-Devs 4.0/mi7ROM contable Nokia edition V1.0 release !
This rom is based on both great roms: XDA Devs 4.0 (by Ceesheim, credits to him) and mi7ROM Nokia Edition (by mirolg, credits to him).
Features are:
1. OS 8779 (8 languages)
2. FW 12.4.2
3. contable fullskin
4. dark themed Email and Office hub
5. Fully working Advanced Config (beside Themes option)
6. No CSC-file needed (cooked in the OEM-part)
7. Nokia camera extras
8. Samsung/HTC/Nokia support
9. several pre-installed Apps (same as V1e mi7ROM)
10. several pre-installed App- and Tileicons (same as V1e mi7ROM)
11. No bootlogo

Hints:
After first boot give root access to wph Tweaks and change the marketplace to NOKIA (if needed).
Don´t use the "Themes option" of Advanced Config => it will crash the app.

It looks like that there are still problems with Advanced Config... Damn
2 days I didn´t have problems while testing. Before I cooked the final rom I only changed the MobileOperator and the DeviceName to NOKIA/Lumia 800.
Maybe there is a incompability with Nokia, because all my tests I did with SAMSUNG/OMNIA7...
Some feedback would be nice, because in general the rom works great.
yeh, i noticed the advanced config themes error too. i did manage to add a new theme at first when in nokia lumia 800 mode but crashed when i tried to change again. oh well, i will change to samsung omnia and see what happens.

ATM this bug can´t be fixed. Miro has the same status as I do, he couldn´t fix it either.
The app was created for Mango, not for Tango.

Thx, indeed the old Accent Changer from Davux is working on the full unlocked roms.
A skinned version is attached.
Installed, tested, retested, and finally, running all Ok. I love it. And changes the themes, with accent changer, no problem. Perhaps, soon, we have Advanced Config v1.6-Tango, right?

...I'm in fight with AdvancedConfig. I´m 100% sure the function "add custom themes" has never works, but not one tested/use this function.no matter mango, tango, os8979 os8773 root manager ROM or standard unlock.

I have the same opinion, because I never used it either. I think the last time I used it was on NoDo. Anyway I cook in the accents I like so for me it's no problem at all.

(Start Total Commander and browse to the location of the plugin, then dopple-click to install)

5. Browse to "WinCE Device"

This Office Hub is simply a page with the links to open up the Microsoft Office Apps.
To install; you link the office.xml page in both the config.xml file and in one of the custom hub xml files. (If you don't know how to do this; read the topic or try one of the custom mods who have already done this for you).

I wish that i could test but unfortunatly my language is missing (portuguese), something that i suggest to build in, of course a custom has the objective to less size but without full language support, less users will use...its just a suggestion, dont get me wrong.

yes stock image update works.
this rom doesn't have htc drivers , I will make a image update package with htc drivers so that for the ones who like to have htc apps.

The rom (based on the great mi7ROM V1.3b 6 langs from mirolg) is full functional and comes up with the following additional features:

A little bit more patience, at the weekend I have a lot of internet-traffic in my house (3 children and my wife), the system says 30 minutes left...
Bad news: the upload failed (1 second left): flash error... grrrh. Damn dropbox uploader...
Sorry, but you guys have to wait til tomorrow. I will try to upload it again after midnight.
Edit: after midnight the data connection of my O7 should work again with full speed so I will try to upload it via 3G...

INFO: after flash first start: it will display image linking phone and PC. wait few seconds it will reboot. then wait for few seconds on samsung logo- after first Samsung Bootlogo press and hold together camera button + Volume down button. then press windows button to erase the memory to prevent bugs casued on fragmented memory after the flash prozess

a precise reason for 8773 are:
now os 8773 with latest firmware 12.4.2 for os 8773. maybe is more stable and full compatible, while official.
os 8779 is made for few nokia and few rare htc ... not specially for samsung omnia7

I did not have any issues. Sometimes apps seem a little slower to open since order to open by user.
On 8779 I dunno why boot time seems a few percent increased, otherwise rOm works very well, it seems a little slower to get the TV programs in "Programme TV" app.
With last firmware, any of 8773 or 8779, I feel time to open Pictures Library is reduced, especially when browsing for a pic to send via SMS/MMS app, it seems faster. Maybe it's just me
Question : Wifi is On by default, waiting for a connection choice from user (select acces point & credentials). Will this decrease battery life, even if not connected via wifi to any network ?

the root manger is generally "new" compared with the previous unlock method. but the same as in my mi7ROM 8779 OS, only based on 8773 OS. Is mainly for user, the have problems with the os8779 relase. I'm not sure, but i mean, the OS8773 + fw 12.4.2 fir os 8773 works a little bit smoother, without glitches ....

On my device, after flash by default wifi ON, (activated) waiting to scan for AP
It can be deactivated by the WP7 toggle without problems. That's what I do after boot

No It's a ROM to flash it. It's to complex for a update cab ...
Confirmed the feeling of greater fluidity and stability, using os8773. And, of course, there are versions for all...Chapeau! :silly:
I'm using this rom for a week now, and I have to say, the Battery use is really great!!! I never could use my phone that long with the stock rom or other custom roms (I used the mi7rom os 8779.8) For example, I could use my phone for 19 hours when I got 70% left.

Nor could use nokia as "Nokia drive", for example. When looking for the registry, I found that OemName, OemDeviceName, etc. identify the device as Samsung Omnia 7. Once changed to Nokia Lumia 800, everything works fine.

I also voted 5 stars. It's a stable rOm, no reboot or whatsover ...
Since I used mirolg rOms never had unexpected reboots. I had it once with an operator rom ... whilst changing a song on Zune Player on the LockScreen. Meeuh.

Image update packages
for the .cabs you need to image update the phone (no need to reflash or hardreset)
BACKUP
Before you continue, you may want to make a backup of your device for in case something goes wrong. You can do this with the update tools, but I use a separate tool to have more control over the backup-process. This is what I do to make a backup:
Download CabSender
It is from xboxmod's WP7 Update Cab Sender thread.
Use Zune 4.8 final (4.8.2345.0).
Setup-UpdateWP 4.8 beta 3 from the archive.
Extract the "Tools" folder from the archive.
Setup the Backup tool to reference Zune.exe and the UpdateWP.exe in the extracted Tools-folder.
Create your backup.
The backup app will allow you to archive any previous backup.
Your phone will restart and go in Download-mode.
When the backup is finished, the app will tell you to disconnect.
Even though your phone says you still can't disconnect, you can safely disconnect the phone and it will restart.
INSTALL WP7 UPDATE TOOLS
First make sure you have Zune 4.8 final (build 4.8.2345.0)
Download the WP7_update_tool.rar and install the UpdateWP package for your platform (x86 or x64). This is version 4.8.2134.0.
Download the WP7 Update Cab Sender.zip from xboxmod and extract it. This also contains a patched version of UpdateWP.exe which will work with Zune 4.8 final.
INSTALL THE UPDATE PACKAGES
Copy all the CAB files you downloaded to the folder where you extracted xboxmod's WP7 Update Cab Sender. The CAB's should be in the same folder as the BAT-file.
Run the batch-file and press 'S'.
Your device will reboot and start in download-mode.
You'll see progress on the screen of your desktop, but it may take more than 10 minutes before your WP7 device is starting to show a progress-bar, even for small updates. That's normal, because the device is scanning for installed packages and performing merges.
When the update is ready, your device will be rebooted again and it will boot Windows Phone with new version and or custom packages.

that means that when you install a xap that Needs root Access you will get a notification, if you click the notification it brings you root Manager.
