Gtalk voice/video on Galaxy Ace - Galaxy Ace S5830 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Is there a way to enable voice/video in Gtalk app in this rom? I remember using a CM7 nightly rom before and voice was enabled. But after flashing to APOCALYPSE I see I've lost that feature. Don't want to flash another rom. I'm good with this one.
Thanks.

I don't exactly get what you are saying. Anyways try downloading Google voice from market if you mean that you no longer have this app.

Thanks, but doesn't work for me. If I use MarketEnabler, I can finde the music app in the Market, but it refuses to install, claiming that it's invalidly signed.
If I download the apk from the link above, package installer terminates with a simple 'not installed' message.
Rooted Euro Tab on Swisscom, Switzerland.
Rapax, have you installed honeycomb music player before that? If yes - delete it..

I get the same thing here after upgrading to Gingerbread (Overcome) - I used MarketEnabler to download it from the Market; happily running under Overcome 1.6.x (Froyo) but after Gingerbread all it does is force close upon running.

Yeah Google Music crashes each time since the Gingerbread update... Overcome and Stock too
Here too
Euro tab GSM, running GB overcome 2.0 beta 2
Sent from my GT-P1000 using XDA App
I pinned down the crashes to two reasons:
Obviously Samsung built our 2.3.3 on rather outdated code and modified some pieces of the mediaprovider...
Usually, the Stock-Music apk allows access to the MediaPlayBackService and Google temporarily revoked access in 2.3.3, so Samsung thought it would be a great opportunity to **** around with the existing code and Changed some things in the Stock MediaProvider-Service thingy
That's the major reason why the Google Music Beta crashes in 2.3.3 but works great in 2.2
So it is not a "Google Thing", it is a "Samsung Thing" and Samsung would have to fix that.. We all know that this won't be likely to happen, so there are two possibilities I see here... We fix it ourselves or someone clever ports the MediaProvider including access to the MediaPlayBackService from the current CyanogenMod 7.something builds to the Galaxy tab. I tried and failed as the modules crashed on boot and I had to reflash the whole system
Anyone interested in getting that done? I'd do it, but I've too little time at the moment to get it done properly :-/ it shouldn't be that hard anyways, I guess...
Someone needs to make this work. I have all my devices working beautifully with Google music without a problem except on my galaxy tab running overcome 2.0.

I can confirm that the latest update of google music works on galaxy tab with Gingerbread

Have you tried deleting the application data and reboot then? :-/ I used the official market version btw. but that shouldn't make much difference... as I pulled it directly after the install from my tab.

Need help in installing FR's MIUI 2.4.13

Hi,
I am trying to install FR's MIUI 2.4.13 ROM on my spice mi410. Currently I am using sharp GB 2.3.5 ROM (rooted). I am trying to install it using CWM 5.0.0.2.7 by TJ. Data, cache, dalvik cache all wiped. And then I installed. Still I am not able to boot. It is continuously rebooting and showing up a blue screen. After trying 3 times. I am back with my earlier ROM.
Please tell me what is it that I am doing wrong... Please help.
Thanks in advance.

Sharp has a newer kernel so first you need to install any official ROM which has the old kernel through SUT or stock recovery and then flash MIUI
Thanks dear,
I was finally able to successfully flash this ROM. It's working fine. However I have some questions for you senior guys. There is a radio app in it. But it's not working. Any idea what's wrong?
Another question is that the features listed by FR about this miui 2.4.13 says that the two way call recording patch is pre-installed. However when I tried to record a call, only my voice was recorded. Any idea what's wrong?
Please help.

Radio doesn't work in MIUI rom and you need to install an app named call recorder for recording calls
Can you tell me which call recorder do I use... (preferably free one) There are so many in the market.

Hi guys,
I am getting random low incoming call volume on FR's MIUI 2.4.13. It's not happening on all calls but on every alternate call. Pushing volume down and then up several times is correcting the issue... Is there any way/patch to correct this.
Also the call recorder is not functioning. It's working when the loudspeaker is turned on. otherwise it's not working. I have tried several apps from the market...
any suggestions guys?

[Q] S Voice not working

Thanx to all the team for the Remics ux.
Installed the same and working great! Only the S Voice doesnt work. It says "Unfortunately Stopped" Also, cant have the ripple effect as the SIII. Pl. guide.
Thanx once again!
'Cos its a ported app. It will work correctly only on SGS III. And this function has some problems with other devices.
Sad but true.

no you can install S voice on SGS but you need to do it with an ICS rom that allow the installation of touchwiz apps
I tought REMics does allow that, they even got S Voice working showed in their quick installation video.
