*REAL* Blurex Case released! - Nexus 7 Accessories

I just received this email directly from Alex at BlurexUSA. He had promised to let me know when these cases were available. There have been SEVERAL fake Blurex cases for the N7, they were NOT real sadly. This one is the first, one and only true Blurex case for the Nexus 7 and even better they have it up for 6 dollars! Normally I pay 30 for Blurex! Enjoy guys!
EDIT: Actually I have been told there was at least one of these *fake* items that was in fact a pre-order to the real case. So even though it was only released today, they have been purchased. So if on the top of the page it says you've already ordered this item, then you are good. Though I would suggest ordering at least 1 more while they are 6 bucks!!

Hey Robert!
GRRRREAT news! The case for the Nexus 7 is now available.
Here is the link to the Amazon webpage:

I don't get it. that's the same one people have been talking for a while now

Yeah because some people called the company and were told the case had not been released yet. Therefore everyone thought that the case was either fake or intended for another device and then relabled by a dishonest re-seller. But now it is "released" and it's officially a nexus 7 case made by Blurex.

But unfortunately that one that you suggest is not the great Blurex Case (like I had for the HTC Flyer).
This one does not cover the bezel!
I just got an updated email from Alex at Blurex and the one like I am looking for, will take just a little longer. He provided the link on Amazon for it.

Looks quite a bit different then their Flyer and Playbook cases.
Edit: That looks much better TidBit.

Digging that one, i was starting to fear they would not be making one like that. Oh well, cancelled my *second* Blurex order. So I have the 6 dollar case coming and I will buy this one when it is released Thanks for the find!

But its not sold by Amazon or Blurex themselves, its sold by some random seller in the OP link so I wouldn't take the risk

Blurex doesn't have a store on their website. They are in Taiwan. They offer their items through authorized amazon dealers. The only way to ever buy their stuff is through sellers like that. This link was given DIRECTLY to me by Alex from BlurexUSA. It's legit.

I hope they're actually making that case specifically for the Nexus 7...because based on the speakers I can see in that picture (and the bulky thickness), that's a Kindle Fire (hoping it's just a placeholder image until they get an actual product in production). I have a Marware case for my Kindle Fire that does work for the Nexus 7 (I'm using it temporarily), but the side buttons are difficult to push (and impossible with big fingers). I would love it if they made one just like that for the Nexus 7 with slots for the buttons as I love that style of case. Minimalistic.

Well until it arrives in 2 days time no one can say for certain, but the company provided the link themselves so the odds are, it's a placeholder image

I've shared a couple emails with alex from blurex. He said they will make a case with smart cover functionality.

Never personally seen a colored Blurex case, don't think they make those. But I am not sure.

Thanks for that information. I'll be getting a different case now but may get that blurex when it's released. I'm guessing it won't be much more then the ones without the magnet.
I really like mine (for the Fire). I have few requirements and the blurex is inexpensive, simple elegance.

blurex case
I ordered this supposedly blurex branded case from amazon; vendor is "Prestige Milano"
for less than $8 including shipping. Could this be a "fake" blurex case?
I tried to post the amazon link so you guys can see it but I don't have enough post to do that.

Listed as currently unavailable on Amazon now.

it won't. they haven't released the smart covers yet, which is probably why they're currently unavailable on amazon. you should email the seller to cancel/hold your order and to get more details.

I want my 1 dollar back! lol. I like the other one coming out better, but the 6 dollar one will hold me over until it's out...I mean...it's 6 friggin dollars.

CONFIRMED! Blurex Case for Nexus 7

I contacted BlurexUSA.com with the following:
Message: I had an HTC Flyer and i bought the Blurex case for it. I thought
it was the best case for any tablet.
I just bought a Google Nexus 7 and was wondering if you are planning to make
the same style case for the Nexus 7?
Thanks,
I just got this email back:
Dear Jeff,
Thank you so much for your feedback and interest in the Nexus 7 case.
We will have them available for purchase in 2 weeks!
I will keep you posted.
Have a great day,
Alex
Yeah I already saw it on Amazon for the low low price of 299.99

I saw that too. Since they won't be available for 2 weeks, I can assure you that definitely isn't the price nor the correct one for the Nexus 7. It's just some dude selling the thing for over inflated prices. Probably because he saw people buying the IO version of the nexus for $500.

I don't like the way most cases envelop the tablets, like the one in the above link.
Blurex one uses a different method. See the one for the Flyer. (I had the one with out the stylus holder)
This is the one for the HTC Flyer

That HTC flyer case has a different style than the Blurex case you mentioned, which on Amazon, also has velcro feet.
The HTC case uses grooves for its multi-angle points..Grooved designs are poor because a simple bump will knock your tablet down.

That is the one that I have. I bought it from Amazon.com. But I have the first gen one without the stylus holder. I didn't use the stylus so the two loops to hold the stylus didn't matter to me.
At night, I had it next to my bed and watched videos on it and I bumped it a lot and it never once knocked down. They aren't some flimsy case.
But, nonetheless, the people who like Blurex cases will be glad to know that Blurex confirmed that they will make this type of case.
You made your point in your OP . I myself was also in the market for this exact same style design with the velcro feet so the tablet doesn't slip. I contacted another manufacture and was bumed to hear they weren't making a case with that design for the Nexus 7 at this time. I was just point out other options given Amazon obviously has an incorrect price for your Blurex case. Which, if it turns out to actually be $29.99 ... the link I mentioned so happens to be $15 .. just sayin...

MoKo automatic wake/sleep

I ordered this
MoKo(TM) Slim Cover Case
and I just received a mail
"Dear buyer:
Thank you for your recent purchase of "MoKo case for Nexus 7 tablet"
from BSCstore via Amazon. And we are writing to let you know that we
will be providing a free replacement case that fully supports the
"automatic wake/sleep" function on your new Nexus 7 tablet. This is an
unannounced feature that we were not able to include in our first
batch of cases that were already shipped to you. But we will stand
behind our products and provide a fully compatible replacement within
5-7 days. You don't have to ship the current unit back and can use it
as the lay-over unit before you receive the updated version. We will
be sending you another email with details on how to obtain the
replacement units when they are ready."
Awesome.
That is very impressive. To bad I dislike the looks and the way it holds the tablet. But damn, I'll remember BSCstore / MoKo (or at least try) in the future.

This is really awesome customer support. The case was already cheap at 6.99, but to offer a free replacement for something that's as small as this? kickass!
Same, just got my notification. Slightly disappointed, but impressed by the customer service!

Yeah, they really messed up some of the orders. I bought a $12.99 case from them because it mentioned the sleep/wake function specifically. They sent me one of the $6 cases and will send another like the email said. I'm just curious what case it will be. The Amazon link now has a rotary case pictured with a Samsung tablet in it. It's nice that they let me keep the first one, but I hope the 2nd one is different beyond a magnet added to it.

Agreed.... They emailed me too and said that I be able to exchange it for any case that they are about to release. By the time they come out with it there will be a hundred others just the same, this Chinese one on eBay is very similar to the fit folio http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/150880476182 and is available now. Can't speak for the quality mind you but I've ordered one for the hell of it.
Cool beans. Let's hope they have better patterns/designs then the iPad 3 versions.

That's pretty much what I'm looking for, but that price stings a little bit (unless it's free 1 day shipping - just my 2c though). There's enough generics on Ebay for me to consider one of them and to just eat the typically longer ship time.

I was even kind of at the Amazon one @ 25, but 35 is enough that I'd pass. Though it does make the Amazon unit look more appealing all of the sudden...
Dang, I'm frugal.
EDIT - Though, looking at it now, I REALLY don't like the Devicewear's clips... The Speck's are much nicer. Dang. Maybe I'll be eating my words.
EDIT II - Taking a closer look at the Speck case in the images, the quality looks absolutely superb. Perhaps it *is* worth it?
EDIT III - Curiosity got the best of me. Plus the free shipping helped. I talked to their customer service a bit on the chat system to get a feel for them since I haven't interacted with Speck or used any of their products before. I thought very highly of that experience. Ordered a black one.

Ah well, I'm not losing any sleep over it. When I talked to Speck on their chat system I asked just how quick the free shipping was, mostly because I'm leaving for a trip on Tuesday and really want this case before then so it's not sitting on my porch for 2 weeks. They assured me the free shipping should land it at my house by late Friday or early Saturday, which of course would leave Monday as a decent backup since I'm not leaving until Tuesday. I also scored a 10% coupon code on the chat system... I just asked and they provided me with a one time use code. Not too shabby. Between that and the free shipping which seems moderately quick (whereas Amazon is 8.60 for 3-5 day shipping) I'm still pretty :good::good: with ordering from Speck.
Only thing is USPS Is kind of in regard to tracking info, which is how Speck shipped my case, whereas Amazon is solid (in my experience). So right now I have no idea where my item is besides the fact "it shipped."
Does anyone have an idea of how thick this cover is with the Nexus 7 is when the fitfolio is in the closed position?
Actually.. I'm more interested in what the cover looks like with the Nexus 7 when the cover is folded over for normal use. I can't seem to find a good picture of this with the kindle fire fitfolio...

Triangus Case for Nexus 7

I purchased the Triangus Folio Sleeve for my Nexus 7, because it is the closest thing I could find to the Triangus Y-Case (See pictures below)
I want a Triangus Style "Case" for my Nexus 7... (Not just a "Sleeve" to put it in)
EDIT: I was in the purchasing negotiation process for the Nexus 7 Sleeve when I posted this originally. However, negotiations bogged down when they increased the price from their initial amount and insisted upon a minimum sample order of 5 units with a 35 day leadtime for any color besides Charcoal, (which they have in stock and can ship immediately) I later found out that their minimum order amount is 3000 pieces, So I am now looking for a distributor that is selling these in the USA.
Perhaps someone in this forum may want to make a bulk purchase and then sell them on Amazon or ebay

Here is the Triangus Y-Case style case that I would love to purchase for my Nexus 7's... But they do not make one for the Google Nexus 7 (Yet) I'm hoping they get enough inquires that they would consider making one!!!
NOTE: The Y-Cases shown in the pictures below are for the iPad.
QUESTION: Has anyone seen another case like this one that is made for the Nexus 7?
Like this. Where did you buy it? I just see information on the Site...

Damn, that Triangus case is nice. I haven't seen any Nexus 7 cases with that triangle style stand.
I know. I like the sleeve. Perfect for me. I'd buy it tonight if I could. I like the case, but doesn't look like it's coming out for our n7

Yeah, where's the link to buy? Ebay / Amazon for Triangus Folio Sleeve doesn't turn anything up
Appears to be sold under the brand Onguard as well?

Guess from your post here you asked if Triangus would be putting out something similar for the Nexus 7, not necessarily saying it's available for purchase now

UPDATE: I have requested web links from the manufacture to their Sales PDF and pictures that they emailed to me.
I would post them, but do not have a web site that I can publish them to and link to message post in this forum.
The Folio Sleeve looks to be very well constructed and my OP web links to the Folio Sleeve do are not as good as the attachments they sent to me in their emails.

You can upload them here if they are not too big.
Here are the pictures from the Sales Brochure that Triangus emailed to me. (I extracted these pages from the PDF, since they are the only two that pertained to Nexus 7)
That's actually pretty interesting. If I didn't already have three cases I might pick this one up lol
Oh what the heck... I'm gonna buy Five of these and give the other four away.
I'll probably wish I had bought six, because I'll be buying Nexus 7's for my four kids for Christmas and upgrade my wife's Kindle to a N7 so these won't go to waste
Would love to buy a charcoal/black case!

Edit: Can not find anywhere where I can buy a case or sleeve! I would love to buy either.
Edit2: I found Onguard, not sure of quality but it should be avaliable on http://k2wusa.com/ soon (?) I see a promo video buy no where on the Amazon site.
I've also emailed Sharine regarding the 7" folio and she quoted me a price of $55 for one!!!
@ThunderTech if your going to buy five ill be happy to purchase one from you

I would love selling one to you, but I'll need eight of the 7" Sleeves for the tablets I'll be giving away as Birthday & Christmas Presents. (Truthfully, I would buy six of the Y Covers today if they made them for the Google Nexus 7... one for each of my kids, myself and my wife) I'd still need two of the Folio Sleeves for the two Kindle Fire 7" Tablets I'm giving to my grandson and granddaughter.
Further discussion with Triangus clarified a few things (Because I am not a distributor, nor do I want to be, or have the time to market and process large quantities for shipping) their minimum order is for 3000 pieces for distributors. A sample order of 5 pieces is allowed, but that is only if you are a distributor.
Triangus suggested retailing prices are.. Folio Sleeve 7" $55/ea, Folio Sleeve 10" $62/ea, Y's case $70/ea (USD)
(I will not disclose quantity/bulk pricing or shipping cost, because that is confidential information between the distributor and manufacture)
ONGUARD will be selling the Black Folio Sleeve soon on Amazon and other colors shortly thereafter when inventory arrives.
Don't quote me on this, but rumor has it that they will be selling the Folio Sleeve 7" on Amazon for $44.95 ea.

Check out the flipsteady.
Same price, and potentially more awesome. Shipping this month.
I desperately want one, but I'm having trouble justifying a $55 for a tablet that only cost $200.
Kind of a random place, but I found it here: https://www.broderbund.com/p-535-onguard-sleeve-7-inch.aspx
A bit of a thread resurrection, but you can order this directly from OnGuard on their website, and it's on sale right now

This is an interesting enough looking case so I went to the site linked above. The case also comes in a brown and a red and both are on sale also.

The sale seems to still be going. Does anyone have one? There's like nothing about it on the entirety of the internet.

Spigen liquid crystal case

Hi guys. I was wondering if this is the liquid crystal case because on amazon it doesn't have the name explicitly. I also linked the liquid crystal from spigen website.

It has the name liquid crystal case on Amazon. So what´s your problem? It is the right case
Spigen is banned from amazon currently, so all of their cases are sold/shipped by Amazon or another 3rd party. That's why it's hard to find any of their listings up and why the prices are much higher. I would recommend the Ringke Fusion Air instead of the Spigen.

I cannot provide a source because they do not want to be named, but this isn't their first ban. I would search around on Google if you want to see more about it

Yeah, the company moved the entire store to Ebay. That's where I had to get my case from.

On their Facebook they claim they're having technical difficulties, but Amazon wouldn't let that happen to a top 10 seller now would they.
You can see the post I'm referring to here
They've always had a eBay store that sells their full line up, but I guarantee they are losing tons of money since being kicked off Amazon again.
Got this one
I've bought Ribnke Fusion Crystal Clear from Amazon.
Pretty good.
It was on promo, 4bucks

Amazon's loss then. I like spigen, and Amazon isn't the only place on the web to buy things...

It's not their loss (this isn't the first time they banned Spigen, and no one knows if its temporary of not) since Spigen consistently violates Amazons policies. I know it's not the only place to buy their products, but it will certainly make a lasting impact on their bottom line.
What are they doing wrong?

It seems as if they are operating fine on Amazon...

I just purchased a case from them not too long ago for the S7 Edge.

They were gone for nearly a month, and it still seems like they're operating at a limited capacity. All I'm trying to get across is how they were banned again (4th time now) for shady activities, and how I would stay away from their company and explore other options until they decide to change their ways. The only way I'll buy another case form them is if theyre the only one with a case at that time and or its something that I really really want. I don't want to support their company to be perfectly honest after seeing how they act as a seller.

In this specific case it IS Amazon's loss. I bought the case from another retailer so Amazon didn't get any money but spigen did.
I understand your point though that overall Spigen is likely losing more than Amazon if/when they are off Amazon's site.

Hmmm... that's interesting.
I've never once had a bad experience with Spigen and I always purchase their products exclusively through Amazon.
In fact, I've had quite the opposite experience, it's always been smooth and satisfying and I always purchase at least one Spigen case for all of my phones. I feel like they make the best cases (for me).
It's funny how that works... Different strokes for different folks I guess.

The amount Amazon would lose would be a drop in the bucket regardless of how big the seller is. Amazon is still the largest seller on Amazon so they don't care if others come and go

I'm not saying my experience was particularly poor, I'm just pointing out what they do to other Amazon sellers, and how the act as a company on Amazon
Maybe they were off as they needed to make changes to the design from early orders and needed a few days to proceed.
Here in Canada they never went off amazon
.
On another note just went case crazy on luvvitt deal.
Hopefully you can order soon at 2.99 and post more reviews.
They have been great, very helpful
